I usually go to the Strength & Conditioning classes and I like alternating between strength and cardio unlike OTF classes, where you are on the treadmill for 30 min. straight-through (which I think would be horrible for the knees after a while...). Paul is a really nice guy and seems to have a lot of integrity and I have liked the other instructors as well. I do hope they continue to grow and that they can offer additional classes at different times.

Choosing to work with Emily was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my fitness journey. Not only is she incredibly knowledgable about lifting, but she's also fun, patient, and encouraging! My form on all of my lifts (squat, deadlift, overhead press, and bench press) improved dramatically as a result of Emily's coaching. She pointed out corrections that I would have never noticed on my own. Her guidance gave me the knowledge and confidence to add some serious weight to my lifts and now I'm stronger than I have ever been in my life. If you're considering a membership or coaching with Emily or anyone at Fivex3, just go for it! You will be incredibly happy that you did!

I've been training consistently but had a very inconsistent deadlift and some chronic form problems on my squat and press. Craig fixed all of that in one private session. Worth the money. However, before I even stepped foot into the gym, multiple employees called and text me. I feel like this, and I am sure others do too, of I say I will be there on Monday, I will be there on Monday. Unfortunately, they will call and text you almost everyday, even after you share when you will take a tour. Look, I don't owe you any money, don't call me as if I do. I couldn't take the harassment and never even went to take a tour. If employees can't respect my time, I don't want to be a member.

I was told to submit the termination in writing or stop by the front desk and speak with the manager on-duty. I submitted the cancellation in writing. Six months later, I discover that my credit card is still getting billed. So, I submitted an e-mail asking for an update. I was told to stop by the front desk and speak with a manager. I stopped by the front desk and spoke with Barry Amos who assurred me the cancellation would be processed and a credit would be issued. I am still waiting! Personally, I belive this cancellation scheme is intentional, and it's criminal. I will be reporting this behavior to the Better Business Bureau. Buyers beware! This is a good gym until it's time to cancel your membership. Then, they don't care.

During our visit my son gave us a private tour of the new UA Global Headquarters near the Baltimore harbor. We started the tour at the visitors center and received some historical information about Under Armour, it's origin and founder. There were plaques and memorabilia of legendary athletes and celebrities that are sponsored by the brand. We then toured the performance center which includes strength and conditioning training, classes and equipment. The is an infrared sauna and recovery room which was designed with all athletes in mind. The design center was closed for visitors but Ben a generous E-Commerce employee took the time out to give us a personal tour of the indoor basketball facility, dining area, design studio, sample room, focus group area and what's next for Under Armour. I was so impressed with his knowledge and willingness to share the new releases for Black Friday. Which is going to be HUGE savings. There is so much science behind the brand with families and athletes in mind. We drove a few minutes off campus to view the new track & field stadium that will also be used for soccer and football. The track was bright red with hints of gray throughout. I can't wait to see my son race on this track in the future. It's scheduled to be completed in 2023.

The complex is very picturesque and can be distracting to workout if you are a UA fan. So, I suggest you get all your pictures out of the way before you workout. There is a few parking spots in front of the center, but most of them are marked as reserved. The Center does have one stipulation for working out here. You must wear Under Armour gear. That was not hard for me though, because that I what I mostly wear anyway. Even if you don't want to or can't work out, just visiting the campus is impressive. It's a nice facility, but the location is farther than I'd like. During peak hours it was extremely crowded--I waited 45 minutes just to use one machine, rotating through others in the meantime. Many of the guys seemed to be socializing more than working out. I was also disappointed to find the sauna out of order, since that's one of my main reasons for joining. I especially prefer rock saunas over infrared because I sweat more in them and already have an infrared at home. Between the wait times and the sauna situation, I'm not sure I'll be returning to this location.

It's hard to find good gyms that challenge you, but Reflex is a great starting point for beginners and challenging enough for athletes looking to get back in the swing of things. I love the opportunities to go at your own pace and still hold yourself accountable. There's a good balance & the community built adds to it all. Every trainer knows what they're doing so you'll always have a great workout, and being able to use equipment while classes aren't going on is a plus. There's also a second floor with equipment and a sauna! As long as I'm in Maryland, this will be my gym home.
