While waiting for a family member at their appt, I went window shopping to check it out. Sad to see this place has fallen like other major malls across the country since covid & looking like a ghost town. The only anchor store left is Macy's. Their food court on the 2nd floor has dwindled to just a handful of choices: L & L BBQ, Panda Expess, Pearl Korean BBQ. There's also a pretzel place on the 2nd floor but near the Fun Factory. Downstairs was a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and a Mexican restaurant. But there still are some other popular stores like Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, Ben Franklin, & even a Cat Cafe where you can play with cats for a fee or adopt. Still a lot of empty store spaces advertising for lease. The mall itself is a beautiful mall to walk thru. It's open-air with a tarp like cover that lets the trade winds blow thru. Ample parking with a huge covered parking structure in the back. I enjoyed visiting this mall, it was just sad to see it half empty.

It was super hot today and we decided to go eat at pearls after the swap meet. Thankfully the food court area is closed in a bit so it was fine. Even though this mall is still going through some renovations and improvement, please support local. There are still some nice stores/businesses that need our support so check them out. Just bring your glasses and a hat since its the summer time and hot out.

It could be an option for car rental, if coming from a cruise ship. There are shaded places to sit in the main courtyard, so we ended up staying there a bit before moving on. According to plans, a total of five buildings are to be constructed with recently-opened Safeway as an anchor tenant. As of this review, only three buildings are standing along with the Safeway Fuel Station which should open soon. Supposedly a drive-thru restaurant will pop up, hopefully something new that is not yet on the rock, but we can only hope. Can I get a Popeyes?! Parking is easy to maneuver, with access into the complex only via Pulehu Road, though exits can be had on both roads. OVERALL: Until we see who else opens up shop, it's a solid 3 stars.

In its heyday, it was a bustling commerce & hangout spot, a favorite of senior citizens in the later part, who'd talk story, and play cards and board games under the shade of the monkeypod trees. It has since halfway burnt down and never rebuilt. The look is old and dreary. It still houses several businesses, including medical, finance, restaurants, new car inventory parking, and even a church. Parking is plentiful and vehicular access is super easy. TIP: They have a really nice farmer's market, usually on Wednesdays and Fridays. HIGHLIGHTS: - Bistro Casanova - Burger King - Central Pacific Bank - Ichiban Restaurant - Maui Style Market (formerly Ah Fook's) OVERALL: Word is that the whole complex will be leveled and rebuilt with shops, restaurants and residential condos.

Today is mall day. Unless you have a reason to be here, you can skip this mall. Quality/Quantity - Retail, restaurant, and office businesses. Wife came here to support the local businesses. My daughter came here to get another acai bowl. I guess I came here to pay and carry everything. We shopped at Tutu pantry to find our locally made products. Atmosphere - Small local mall. Most businesses open from 9am to 9pm. See individual businesses for specific days and hours. Approximately 4 places to eat - Cafe O'Lei, Beach Street, Maui Thai Bistro, and Southshore Grindz Eatery. Bathrooms are on the second floor, you need a code. Service - Good, depends on the business. Price - Depends on business. Owner Comment - No comment.

There is some fun jewelry shops as well. Everyone working their booths were super nice, only went into one booth and had the owner clinging to our hip all the way through her booth. Nothing seemed to overpriced while walking through we got a couple items here, overall was a successful trip. The jewelry shops had a hefty price tag but to be expected when dealing with jewelry. There was a cool shop to help go towards turtle rescue, every piece is hand made with blown glass and no 2 pieces are really the same. Every color and piece has a meaning.

It consists of four separate buildings ranging in size from 1,000 sf to 10,450 sf. Hopefully some national shops and eateries will jump on board and bring some life to Wailuku and introduce some new options & flavors to the island in general. We'll see! The population area surrounding the mall is growing fast, and hopefully marketers are researching this. So, for now it's a 3-star. Access is safe and easy from Kaahumanu Ave or Maui Lani Pkwy. Parking is plentiful due to low tenant occupancy. This shopping complex located located between the twin towns of Kahului and Wailuku, opened in the…read moreFall of 2013 with Safeway as is anchor tenant. It has 103,249 square feet of leasable space on approximately 12 acres. Access to the complex is off of Ka'ahumanu Avenue, with the main entrance off of Maui Lani Parkway. There are 4 buildings in this complex. Safeway with an attached building of 10,450 square feet, a 2-story office building (next to Safeway), a "restaurant" building and a building for shops (along Maui Lani Parkway). The complex went through several changes before it was even built. Originally proposed with a larger Safeway and another attached building (on its' mauka side), it was also to have a gas station. Neighbors in the adjoining neighborhood opposed the idea and the developer revised their plans. The complex was scaled down with no gas station and the proposed entry off of Kainani Street was moved. Also removed was the fifth building that was proposed on the mauka side of the property. Another issue was the discovery of human remains and burials on the property. Local Hawaiian groups opposed the building of the shopping center, noting that it was an ancestral burial ground (pre and post contact). The developer eventually kept several burials in place and marked them (as designated by the Maui/Lana'i Burial Council) with stone markers, a bronze plaque (stating it was a native Hawai'ian burial site, site identification number, AND to respect the area) and metal fence to enclose it. Filling up this shopping center has been slow. There are spaces for a possible 25 tenants, but so far only 6 have opened up. The proposed "restaurant" building is empty and rumours ran rampant that it was the site of Olive Garden.
