Group of 5. Attempted the Crimson Tide room and it was a great experience! We had such a great time that we were ready for another room right away! We all look forward to going again in the near future! Definitely give yourself some time to get their early because, at night, it was a little difficult to find/see the building from the road so the "arrive 15 minutes early" is definitely necessary. So I'd never done any escape room before and I didn't know what to expect really, but oh my God is this the most fun thing I've done so far in Fresno. I tried my hand at their new room 'cashout' and I would not have been able to solve it alone. The level of thought that must go into making these puzzles is very impressive! The employee, Sarah was an awesome host and made it all the more exciting. I really thought this was going to be a one time thing but I'm coming again soon. Absolutely a blast to attend. I've only done two of the three rooms, but each one is completely immersive and pushes each person to their mental limit. Everyone contributes, no matter their mental ability, and the rooms only give hints as needed. If you're looking to book an event for a party, or just pass some time on a weekday, I absolutely recommend this place. read more

Went as a group of 6 trying to escape the crimson storm, we ended not making it, but it was a very well thought out and elaborately decorated room. The staff, Crystal, David and I believe Victor, were very friendly and explained the rule clearly. Fresno Escape room was really fun, organized, and sanitary! Before going I thought I might get bored, but there was never a dull moment. It was an awesome experience! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We were a little late and the assistant was willing to accommodate us and she was patient. We did not know what to expect so when we went into the room it was overwhelming. We quickly figured things out and the adrenaline went into high gear. It was so much fun! I was planning a staff retreat for a group of 7 people and since my goal was team building, I knew I had to take them to an escape room. I checked out all the local ones and while this one was going to be a few bucks more, it seemed to be open earlier than the others, which was perfect so we could do it during the work day. Well, as fate would have it, there were not 1 but 2 accidents on our typical 30 min drive over there causing us to be a 40 minutes late. I was panicking because I didn't know how to salvage our retreat if we couldn't do our main event! Thankfully, there was no group booked after us in the same room so they let us start when we got there and DIDNT CHARGE US EXTRA, when they definitely could have since we missed our reservation! Our day was saved thanks to their kindness. Plus, we escaped the room with literally one second to spare! So fun and we all enjoyed this unique team building experience. I would definitely recommend it for your workplace, too. read more

It's nice to have an entertainment venue that brings people together to laugh and chat. My 14yo daughter and her friends (since second grade) were able to solve most of the puzzles with a clue here and there. The staff were very informative and professional, well trained. We did the Pirate room but accidentally solved the final puzzle before we were suppose to because they forgot to reset the lock. The GameMaster interrupted our game to reset the lock, which we didn't appreciate. He also failed to give us a clue for a good while and wasted some of our time. Such a great experience! Staff is so accommodating, even when I made the mistake of booking a room and showing up at the completely wrong time and day! They helped me by moving my reservation and allowing my group to enjoy a room when we showed up, not even charging me for the difference in reservation fees. We did the Crimson Storm-it was an awesome time It was our second escape room Two adults and three children age 12, 12, 10 the 12 year olds were able to find some hidden objects, help solve some of the puzzles the 10 year old also found some objects, and was in charge of opening the locks, so had a great time and was able to participate The decor included walls, flooring and ceiling and really made you feel like you were on a boat, props were great the only thing missing was the floor rocking and a salty sea smell We got stuck at one point, and needed a clue to help us along otherwise we finished with time to spare I would highly recommend this for any beginner with maybe 3-6 people. 2 beginers might be okay but might need a few clues. more than six would be to crowded intermediate level groups of maybe 2-4. A group of 5-6 intermediate level might be a little to easy Advanced group of maybe 1-3 Puzzles were appropriate for the theme My daughter used a pencil to write down some clues on a piece of paper, and we were instructed to writing We have since done a third escape room, but the Crimson Tide remains the favorite for myself, and all three kids (my wife ranks it second out of the three) read more

Party of six hit the Crimson Storm tonight. A few observations: Act One - Set-up and exploration. The room is expertly dressed. The initial set-up and the practical aspects of initial exploration were very good. The positives were the cuffs, the ropes, and the potential clues to be gathered. The negative was a lock we had successfully worked to conclusion, but that didn't open after four people tried the key. Finally, after a hint confirmed that we, in fact, did have the right solution, did we manage to get the box open. Act Two - problem progress. We had fun working through the various puzzles, and hints came at appropriate times to help us progress. Act Three - bringing it home. This is where we had trouble with the program. Clues became increasingly word based, and the hints inexplicably evaporated in the last minutes of the game. Even after things were explained to us at the end, the logic pattern was difficult to discern. All would have been fine at that point - we've done seven escape rooms in seven different cities, and we know we can't win them all. But the mood was soured by the game master, as we asked for explanation and conclusion. I was admonished for having scrap paper and a pen to take notes (I'm a 58 year old teacher that likes taking younger folks to these things. My memory ain't what is used to be, and I was never told it was "against the rules."). Everyone in the group agreed that the game master made us feel less-than for not solving the game and for not understanding his explanation of the final clues. I'm sure this is just a training issue. Anyway, in the spectrum of escape rooms we have experienced, I feel this one needs some degree of improvement. read more
