Fun, Clean, and Welcoming Experience! We did the movie theater escape room at Puzzle Effect Clovis, and it was such a fun experience! It was only my second escape room ever, and this one hit the sweet spot--challenging enough to make us think but not so hard that it got frustrating. The theme was creative, and the room was set up really well. The entire place was super clean, and the staff were kind, patient, and helpful from start to finish. You could tell they really care about creating a fun experience. Everything just felt really well-run and professional. After the game, they even took a group photo and sent it out to everyone in our group, which was such a nice touch! Since we solved the room, we got a discount for our next visit--and we had the option to either book another room right away (which we did!) or buy a gift card to use later. They also have a Harry Potter-themed room coming soon, for all you HP fans! The only small thing to note is that they don't have their own restrooms--you'll need to use the shared ones in the building--but honestly, that didn't take away from the experience at all. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun and friendly escape room in the Clovis area!

We had so fun much solving puzzles a d making sense if the clues... Great brain exercise... we're on the last lock, and we would've solved Amnesia on our 1st try. Cant wait to play again.

Played Grim Stacks and it was great! The game master, Erin, did a great job keeping us from going too far astray. We played with 4 people. I think that's the max that should be in the room.

    We found the secret Recipe!

My boyfriend and I came to Clovis for the day and I found Puzzle Effects online when looking at escape rooms in town. We've done about 10 others or so at other places before, but we both agreed The Reel here is our favorite so far!! Erin was our Game Master and she was very nice and helpful as soon as we entered the lobby. It was a very doable difficulty level; challenging enough that it kept us thinking and on our toes, but not so hard that it was frustrating. The hints were given automatically and at good points when we were almost out of ideas. The room was very nicely decorated and fit the theme perfectly!! We are already talking about wanting to come back and try Grim Stacks. This place is definitely a must visit for puzzle and/or escape room fans.

Went here for the first time with our young adults from Church. We did Curse of the Emerald Sea. It was soooo fun. We really had fun and it was challenging. Thanks to Erin for all her help. She was amazing. I highly recommend this experience.

What a fun and unique date night activity. If you're looking for something different to do for a night out this escape room challenge in Clovis is a perfect fit. It gets you to think differently outside the box and is filled with ah-ha moments and fun. Something to put on your To Do list for sure. We had a great time and will be back for our next adventure.

We did it!!! We got the captain's heart!!

The puzzles were creative and it was fun! There were clues that the crew helped us with and we almost didn't make it in time! But we did! And although we were doubtful at first, we actually worked together to solve the mystery and had a blast!

What a BLAST! My son took me for a birthday surprise and it was everything I was hoping for! Angie was our "captor" , and she was so sweet, helpful, and even made us feel smarter than we probably should! Lol I definitely recommend it for anyone else, like me, who has wanted to do it forever but never got off your butt to go! GET UP! GO! You won't regret it! Thank you Angie!

I booked my daughters 10th bday party online. The Crimson Storm. It was simple and convenient. I paid a deposit to hold the date and time. My hubby did have to stay in the room as a chaperone(not charged) and he was not allowed to help. Bryan was our party host and he was awesome. My daughter and her friends did great and they had lots of fun doing it. It was challenging and they needed a little help from Bryan. It took them a little over an hour. Bryan was so great with them. The room looked super cool It was pirate themed So finally being able to unlock the treasure chest was really exciting for the girls We will definitely return for another challenge.

Reservations were easy to make online and when I had issues and questions, the owner was very kind on the phone. During our session, there was another group that walked in so spontaneous fun was possible too. However, our game master was preoccupied so communication was slow during the game. I personally did the "Lost Treasure of Atlantis" which was labeled as hard difficulty. While the room was doable, I was disappointed in a puzzle that was uncalibrated. This issue resulted in the entire group being stuck for several minutes despite solving the puzzle. The room was formatted in a linear manner so our group of 6 felt very cramped. However I was impressed with the technology incorporated in the latter half of our escape. The room was very dim and there weren't enough lamps for each member of our team. It also didn't help that one lamp died 10 minutes in. The screen and speakers were clear. However our game master took several minutes to get back to us. Hence if you need a hint, wave for help immediately because assistance won't be immediately. The celebratory signs were a bit weathered and smelly. Hopefully these signs can be updated to reflect the themes of the rooms and be laminated to prevent the styrofoam deterioration. The experience was worth the $30 price tag but some changes needed to be made for it to be great.

I wanted to do something that wasn't traditional meeting as we always do lunch and so we decided to do our end of year meeting of something different. I booked the tickets and even got an extra bin to smash things. Upon entering we were greeted by Frank. He is such a lovely fellow. He made sure our waivers were signed and the whole party was there. He explained everything throughout. You have to wear closed toe shoes, long sleeves and clothing that goes past your ankles qnd I know why!!! Please adhere to their dress policy as it is for safety. I only wear dresses and I forgot to bring a long sleeve shirt. So luckily Walmart was across the street so I quickly went to Walmart. However, there is a thrift shop conveniently located next to the rage room which probably happened what I needed too but cheaper. I wasn't thinking as I was rushing but next time I will pop in and check it out. If you do forget your long sleeve, they do have jackets that you can wear too. Not sure if that will be an extra cost or not. But just come prepared. They make you hard at helmets for a great cause because I did get hit in the head with a big chunk of plates and glass. As once your party starts smashing things glass will be flying everywhere and all directions so make sure you keep your heart helmet on at all times. This was definitely a great experience and a great way to blow off some steam especially in chaotic work environment or any environment that she work in. It was a lot of fun to do this as a team and looking forward to come back. We also felt low-key guilty about breaking things, especially some of the items appeared very nice and we wanted to take them home haha but of course we broke them and it felt nice. We were greeted upon arrival and the guy explained the rules and safety. We were suited up with goggles, a protective helmet with face shield, latex gloves with thicker gloves over them. Make sure you wear long sleeve shirt, comfortable pants and tennis shoes. The room had mounts so we could record ourselves, and we were able to play our own music without hearing other groups, which made it even better. The space was clean, well ventilated. We were given 20 minutes, but we managed to break everything in the two crates within about 14 minutes. That left us plenty of time to use our "weapons" on the tires and release even more stress on the dummy using our fists and legs. My husband did end up getting nicked by glass. The staff member gave him an alcohol wipe, gauze, and bandage. But he was fine. We had such a great time that we asked about group bookings. One room accommodates 4 people and the other two can hold 2 people each. This would be an incredibly fun event to host. Highly recommend for stress relief!
