Initially, the room is so bare empty. I expected a little more "interesting atmosphere." Another member of our group has done 4 escape rooms and mentioned this one was a "low budget" model. We didnt receive any input or direction of what to start with, and ended up calling for clues endlessly. When we opened the room w the barrels and called for a clue they told us we went out of order? We weren't supposed to be there yet? The wall cabinet w a keypad was the straw that broke the camels back. 4 or 5 members of our group had entered the code with no luck opening the cabinet. When time expired and the attendant came in the room, she also tried "the same" code several times and the cabinet did not open! Wth? This was obviously a malfunction and the responsibility of Escape Room South, and I believe we should receive a refund. (She offered to give us 5 extra minutes ! Hahaha!) Our group of 7 was fed up and we left.

You can get unlimited clues (so if you have never escaped... you can finally do it!!), but we only had to use two. They also don't require you to give up your phone, but they kindly ask for no photos or videos to ruin the puzzle for others. The Secret Society was just difficult enough and so well laid out. From moving through multiple rooms and having amazing detail on every stage, this escape room was phenomenal. We will be back to try some of the other rooms. The space is huge and mainly dedicated to axe throwing, but there's a large bar with a good selection of beer on draft, some bottles, and some canned cocktails. The gameshow room is off to the side by one of the entrances. Our "host" took our group in and had us split into two teams of 10. Over the course of an hour and a half, we played several rounds of probably 5 or 6 different games. The host was fun and energetic, doing her best to keep everyone engaged and involved. This was a fun and unique experience priced at $40/pp. They have tons of tables where you can eat food that you order from a local business, clean bathrooms, and a parking lot located somewhat behind the building. They have had contests for the kids and families, have been selling Fun Fore All Cards at discounts for when they re-open, have done fundraisers to provide Fun Cards to healthcare workers and so forth.
