An elderly and pregnant woman just walked across the wet floor. Nobody can get off the treadmills without walking on the wet floor.

Video of person banging on an elliptical. This is so obnoxious. Can they not repair things after hours? This gym is laughably bad.

    Weird aggressive warnings

An update: the gym continues to slide downhill. For the last six months, they've been missing a barbell. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but in this gym, EVERYONE has to share ONE bench press, for example, so missing equipment matters. Several months back, I brought this to the attention of the new "manager", and his response was "I've heard enough about this today already." I don't know buddy. Maybe try doing your job? We were promised big changes. It has only gotten worse, and more equipment is broken. The one thing they did do? Plaster a bunch of aggressive, weirdly capitalized, poorly spelled signs everywhere threatening members about personal training (which is clearly the only thing this new manager cares about). Snapped a picture of one--enjoy. You can, almost certainly, find a better gym. I just happen to be super close. Still likely leaving.

She's the spa manager and also the best aesthetician I've worked with! Ive had three facials with her, the Hydra-facial every time. She makes you feel very comfortable, greets you with a huge smile, asks you detailed questions about your skin, and most importantly makes it a fun and relaxing experience. At the same time, she takes her work very seriously. Both as an aesthetician and a spa manager! That's why she's so good at what she does and makes your face look beautiful! She has recommended me products, which I bought and use daily, and gave me a very detailed list of what to use and when to use it. People think I am 7 to 8 years younger ever since I started with her. I'm not joking! I called the spa once because I forgot which products to use during the day or night, she graciously answered every question and was very patient. And when I see her around the gym, she's always smiling and making me feel very welcome. A very positive person! So if you're thinking about getting a facial, go nowhere other than the spa in Beverly Hills Equinox and ask for Jackie! Kris, who is a masseuse at the spa, gave me probably the best massage I've ever had! I've had two massages with her, and I will continue booking them. I injured my back, and after the massage I was cured! She also used cupping on me. That helped a lot as well to relieve toxins and help anxiety and stress. I originally booked a 50 minute massage with her, and extended it to 110 minutes! Yes, she's that good! So book a massage with Kris immediately! You must train with Rafael!! I've had six or seven sessions with him, and I'll continue booking more! He's very good at what he does, takes it very seriously. But also, jokes around and makes it fun! You have to have fun while you're working out and make it a great experience. Rafeal does just that! And even after six sessions with him, I can see a difference physically! Another person who is constantly complementing me and making me feel welcome at the gym! And even if I'm not training with him, he helps me out with my form and how much weight I should be lifting. Train with Rafael! You won't regret it. Jeremy is another incredible trainer! He's always motivating me, and keeping a positive attitude at the gym! Also have had great stretching sessions with him as well! And yet again, another person that likes to have fun and train at the same time! Someone who takes his work seriously as well! Train with Jeremy as well! Another manger, La, is always smiling and making jokes with me. She takes the time to talk to me if I'm walking by or on the treadmill , if I have a question, or just a casual conversation. She's always super positive, always says to me, "you're killing it today!" Thank you La! You are seriously doing a great job! Don't pass Ruth at the front desk! She makes you feel right at home when you walk in! I'll sit and chat with her for 10 to 15 minutes after my workout and we'll talk about current events and have a good laugh! Very cool girl! There is NO high pressure sales with any staff member at the gym! I'm sure I'm leaving plenty of people out, but unfortunately can't credit everyone. But everyone deserves a praise! So the bottom line... I've never had a bad experience with anyone at Beverly Hills Equinox! Not with the trainers, the staff, the managers, everyone at the spa... Everything has been phenomenal!! I enjoy going to that gym! And that's a very important thing. You really don't wanna look at your exercise routine as a chore or something you don't look forward to. It's frustrating to see people complain about such petty things at this gym in previous reviews. We're not performing brain surgery here people, so hopefully everyone can lighten up! I hope that my review will help people sign up for this gym or if you're not happy, give it a second chance. Thanks again, Beverly Hills Equinox!

I still love it and it holds a few special memories of my office literally sharing a wall with the gym and at exactly 4pm the music bumping from a workout class, to going early in the mornings in a suit, quickly changing, getting my workouts and sauna in, showering and then walking straight to my office down the hall. It was very convenient for me and I was in some of the greatest shape of my life at one time. I think this place was at its peak when it had Oliver Cafe joined with it and they would serve smoothies and food. I would sometimes take a break and grab a quick smoothie and go back to my office. I will say I like the gym and layout a little more than the Encino Location and it feels more spacious. The staff are very nice but the trainers will hound you in the gym and call you nonstop and that's where Encino location tops this one. I love the sauna room, the eucalyptus towels and the showers and locker area is always clean. They have great customer service and the quality of amenity's are top notch compared to other gyms I've been to. Between Encino and Beverly Hills I'm definitely choosing this one for environment and energy but Encino for privacy, and a nice quiet relaxing workout. However, I have taken a tour of the Woodland Hills one and that one seems super legit! This is my home though. Please get another restaurant or smoothie shop in this location soon! Cool is a theme here. Seen as a Equinox-light version, it is located on the lower level between the 2029 and 2049 buildings adjacent from the Starbucks, Trimana, and Mickey Fine. I have enjoyed being a member, and the appeal that it is open 24/7. While this doesn't serve as my main gym, I think it is a comfy option that is far better than the poorly-ventilated David Barton's that was across the street. At the same time, this gym isn't really busy except after work and because it's membership is limited. They have state of the art equipment including those Peloton bikes, and 2 types of treadmills. Weights are minimal, but all the basics and a little more are there. It's a good small gym but the question has become whether to use a close-to-home gym or this one. It certainly will likely be nice, unless opt to pay over $200 for an Equinox membership or don't mind a place with a little drab.

I worked at a few different pilates studios in Beverly Hills area before, and they all had their pros and cons. In my opinion, Oak Fitness Club is a hidden gem that definitely stands out among other facilities I've trained at for several reasons: 1. Location. The club is situated in a very safe and well-maintained area. Parking is very convenient. There's plenty of metered parking on Civic Center Drive and also a public structure adjacent to the Beverly Hills Public Library. 2. Amenities. Large and clean changing rooms, towels, showers, water cooler - it's something that you would think should be there a priori, right? Wrong. I've trained at places with no showers, no locker rooms, and extra fees for towels and water. This place got you covered. 3. Gym. It has just been renovated and I love the new calisthenics equipment that allows for all sorts of functional movements. Now I am able to take my clients to the next level of fitness by using not only free weights and machines, but also pull up bars and my favorite equipment TRX. I sometimes use cardio equipment for my clients to warm up, and I'm absolutely in love with this new cutting-edge treadmill that adjusts to your pace on the fly, no button presses necessary. 4. Pilates studio. Gorgeous large room with lots of sunlight and high ceilings. There's plenty of pilates apparatus - 8 reformers, 3 tables, 3 chairs, and also enough space for doing mat pilates and yoga. It does get busy sometimes early mornings, but the space is very well thought out to allow enough room for all clients to have their private space and move freely. 5. People/crew. The trainers and pilates instructors, who like me rent space at Oak, are respectful, courteous, and professional. Co-sharing space can be tricky, but doing it with the right people feels comfortable and safe. I also have taken plenty of HIIT classes and pilates reformer classes, and the instructors are top-notch. My favorite HIIT trainer is Annie. I always feel challenged during her classes, definitely break the sweat, and feel sore the next day. 6. Leadership. The owner Aaron is a very special person who definitely knows what he is doing and he does it very well. Aaron was able to create a friendly and supportive atmosphere in the club where people not only work out, but also make friendships, discover new opportunities for themselves, and get inspired by other people around them. This is why I love this space so much. I feel that both my clients and I are able to grow, and it's a very rewarding feeling.
