Mike (at Framingham MA store) showed expertise, persistance and patience in fitting me for new irons and wedges. My session went a bit longer than the allotted hour, as Mike tried multiple alternative combinations of shafts and heads to hone in on the best set for my particular situation - even when he had already engineered a good result. We examined both distance, height of shot and dispersion on less than ideal swings. Fitting off a mat into a simulator is always a challenge and never really accurate in measuring real distance, so we added sample hits with my current clubs to at least show a comparison of results. I felt comfortable enough with the results to purchase the clubs. And Mike also reassured me that PXG would follow through with adjustments and tweaks if the performance suggested a need. TLDR: If you want to get fitted with a fitter who you can be confident will fit you with clubs that will work best for you (not for profits of PXG as a company) with a vast experience and knowledge, schedule a fitting with Brian and you will not regret it. I only recently really got into golf and my wife wanted to try out PXG clubs, so we booked a "swing session." My parents have always been Callaway/TaylorMade golfers, so I was a bit skeptical about this brand I have never heard of before. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted and made feel very welcome. They checked in with us while we waited (we got there a bit earlier than scheduled time) multiple times and answered any questions we had. My wife worked with Brendan, but I was put with Brian. Let me say that during the swing session, I was more satisfied with how Brian was as a fitter than how PXG clubs felt. Granted, I am rather new, so I have not swung many clubs, but PXG clubs themselves felt better than my almost 10 yr old hand me down TaylorMade RSi2s, but Brian's insights into club fitting and how to improve my swing left me feeling amazed. And there was zero pressure at all for us to purchase. So both my wife and I booked a full fitting session, with our respective fitters. And when we returned for my full bag fitting session, there was nothing that changed and that is to say it was absolutely phenomenal. Brian dialed in to what configuration would be best for me, even with my inconsistent and novice skill. And again, there was zero pressure to purchase. And he stayed quite late (I didn't know time could fly by so fast), way past the initial scheduled time to help me figure out what would work for me. did end up purchasing iron set and some woods/hybrids, and I am ecstatic to try them out. Being completely honest, as I mentioned before, I didn't feel (probably because I am not at a skill level where I am consistent enough to notice it quite yet) a HUGE difference in the PXG clubs vs the ones I was using. That is not to say that I felt zero difference. But what helped me make the decision to purchase is that Brian showed immense experience and confidence in fitting, and in turn, made me confident that knowing my skills, he has fitted me with clubs that would work for me and with me for some time while I improve my game. read more

I spent over two hours at PXG Boston testing multiple clubs and expected a detailed fitting experience. However, when I asked the fitter to send me a copy of my report so I could review everything discussed, he refused. I was told to simply "trust his judgment" and accept the recommendations without being able to see or verify the data myself. He also declined to send me the details of the golf bag setup he created for me, which felt unprofessional and dismissive. Just Played my First Round , with the New Gen 8 Irons, Real world numbers where very close to the Simulators, Brian's Fitting was spot on and I'm not pulling my Short irons, and picked up at least .5 a club on my Distance, from my PING 410's. My primary Goal was to get the Gap wedge tuned into !00 Yard club. Mission Accomplished, Money and Time spent down in Framingham . was worth every penny and minute. It's all about the performance.... I didn't buy their PXG clubs but my one purchase experience was really incredibly disappointing, especially for a company that claims to be professional. I had to return one of the two items I purchased. First, beware...the PXG return policy is not customer friendly. Second, the staff service training is clearly lacking...the staff didn't know how to process a return! Third, I was told he would call with a resolution and it took three days. Fourth, when I finally got the call, they said I needed to return to the store with my credit card...so they could process a $25 return .(really??). So in sum, PXG may or may not have a great product to sell...but I would never buy from a company that can't seem to get the service basics right. read more

Had a fitting today with Brian. Beyond excellent. He had me hit shots with a 7 iron using 4 different types of shafts using Trackman shot tracker computer analysis. I was using PXG 0211 irons and decided I wanted an upgrade to Black Ops. In 1 hr he had me fitted perfectly. Answered all my questions, very professional. read more

My son and I were in for a fitting on Saturday with Jonny and I can honestly say our experience was incredible. Jonny was attentive and knowledgeable, really took his time with my 15 year old to get him fitted. I give him even more credit for spending time with me and attempting to find something that would help my pitiful golf game . had a great fitting here about 2 months back. Came in knowing roughly what I wanted. Going from game improvement irons to something with more control. Fitting was awesome. hit a bunch of different shafts on a few different club heads. Trackman data was easy to review and the dispersion chart was very helpful. You definitely pay full price for a new set of irons but I feel confident I'll be gaming these for a long time. I'm a normal human being and I understand that PXG has an incentive for me to buy as many of their clubs as possible. I stuck with the 5-pw at first, to see how they fit my game. Fitter was fine with that. Ended up ordering the matching sand wedge a few weeks later. Only draw back is you can't put the data to the real test against some other club makers! read more
