I called Keith, the owner of Blue Ridge Marine, and he got me in immediately. He was honest about what would be needed and made me feel confident they would be able to get it running. 72 hours later, he gave me a call that everything was fixed. The price was very fair considering how much had to be done. Keith also took the time to explain things I should look out for, what I'll need done next year(nothing) and the following years. His mechanic has been working on Mercruisers for decades and is considered one of the best in North America. I cannot recommend Blue Ridge Marine enough. I live in Seattle, but it is well worth it to drive out of my way to get my boat worked on by Keith. (They have moved to just a few minutes north of Marysville)

Don't go budge on your budget unless…read morecar passes an independent PPI, if not move on from Del Sol, save yourself future additional repair expense. Bought an suv from Del Sol. Took a week long of negotiations (common used car dealership haggling to deal with). 2 weeks later car started to misfire (only drove a total of 100 miles since buying it), took it to a brand specialist and found several issues (2.5k in repair/part/labor). Del Sol has an in-house repair shop but clearly the car was not inspected well as none of the issues were mentioned such as spark plugs, radiator leak, torn cv boots etc...things that can be inspected by trained professionals before listing for sale. Overpaid just based on lack of inspection and from extra costs paid out right after purchase. Not sure if my salesman knew or not but giving benefit of a doubt (so 2 stars)

We had Merrick Marine survey a 1970's full keel sailboat. They (he and his daughter) did an…read moreexcellent and thorough survey of the boat. They provided feedback and information as they went. A verbal summary after the process, and an extensive document at the end that included safety or regulatory related items that should be addressed, a list of other deficiencies and recommendations, as well as a list of notes and observations. The 39 page document included not only valuation and the aforementioned items to address, but a chart with seacock locations, purpose, and status, images of issues, and some recommendations on correcting some issues (for instance our boat uses Spartan seacocks, and Merrick provided a link to information on servicing Spartan seacocks.) While we will likely find and need to address issues as we begin our journey with this boat, I believe most issues will not be a total blindside, thanks to the comprehensive survey provided. I recommend Merrick marine for their thoroughness and their professionalism.
