I had a two month old Interstate battery boil out one cell. I wrote to Interstate asking for a credit on my next battery. Here is their response. Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, in this case, the warranty would not be applicable because that would be considered "failure to keep the battery properly maintained". I'm sorry! What type of maintenance does a two month old battery need? You might try building better batteries. read more

Even with how incredibly busy they were when I walked in, I was still able to be helped almost immediately. Every staff member was very polite and helpful, I was able to get in and get out in a timely fashion. I also liked that they answer their phone to answer questions, a lot of places that are busy won't do that and it helped me out a lot. I am super disappointed in Interstate Battery's customer service! I called and requested 7- 6volt batteries-- I was put on hold and the guy came back to phone and said they had them. I then paid my worker to drive and hour to go pick them up and then once he arrived the office gal said they didn't have any. Then another guy stepped in and said that they did have them but they weren't charged-- but he would personally charge them and they would be ready the next day. My worker did leave a charger to be looked at as well. I personally drove an hour the next day and when I got there the same office girl (from the day before) said she didn't know anything about the batteries and a different guy walked up and said that I should of called first. I explained I had and he had nothing to say. Oh, and no one looked at the battery charger-- they just handed it back to me and said they didn't have time to look at it. I called a manager the next day and said he would call me back--no return phone call. I waited a week and called again and was told I would get a return phone call--never happened. I called again today and they said the manager was out to lunch. I will personally never go to this location again. Sadly, I own a RV & boat storage...we will not be referring business to that location due to such poor customer service. read more

My car broke down because the battery went dead, so my friend put a battery charger on it hoping to recharge it but I guess it was to old to hold a charge so I asked him if he recommended or knew of any place to go to get a good battery and he said to just look up someone on the internet. Since I was in Marysville at his house when I broke down I found two battery sales outlets, one in Marysville and one in Everett. I called the first store in Marysville and they said if they had one it would be $35.00. Then I called Interstate Battery in Everett and I got hold of a lady named Michele. She was very nice and very professional. She asked me what year, make, and model car I had and then went and checked for me to verify that she had my battery in stock. She came back immediately and said, "YES SIR I have a used one in stock that's been all checked out and it's $22.00, when do you want to pick it up?" I told her and then asked her if there was any guarantee on this battery not expecting anything. She said, "WE GUARANTEE AND/OR WARRANTY ALL OUR BATTERIES THAT WE SELL!!!" I was very surprised!" We stopped by last Saturday afternoon while we were out running errands, and needed a trickle charger. We pulled up to the door just 2 or 3 minutes after they closed for the day and were about to pull out of the parking lot when one of the guys heard our vehicle out front and came around the fence to see what we needed. We told him and he said "come on in" and we were able to make our purchase then and there. I just purchased ten (10) Golf Cart batteries from this firm and found it to provide timely and insightful details on these batteries in replacing my 8D's I was using in the same power storage center at one of my properties. Unlike the comments referencing the other Everett battery firm, I did go to them first and did not like the customer care and pricing they were pitching in Marysville. Instead I made the drive to this distribution center to coordinate the purchase. Pricing was the BEST in town for the performance and I did go to Costco (would not take my 8D's as core) and the other for comparable pricing. Two days after the first purchase I went back and bought several more GC batteries after the first purchase. I believe one must be able to convey your DC power specifications correctly to the customer service representative to begin with. read more
