Best Jiu Jitsu around! The kids program is top notch! Belts are not easily given, they are most certainly earned!

Another point that speaks to the quality of instruction is the fact that we have MMA fighters here that are King of the Cage champions, as well as UFC contenders (Reuben Duran and Bobby Green).

Both meet at the same time as the aikido classes, but in different rooms. aikidoredlands.org They have other classes in aikido, kendo and yoga as well. T'ai chi ch'uan aka taijiquan class meets at 6 PM for group exercise and form. They teach what is called the Old form of Yang Style Symmetrical System. The main teacher also teaches at UC Riverside. At this time there are two teachers, The woman teaching the beginning classes is a former high school teacher and t'ai chi ch'uan competitior teaches the beginning class. She is also a veteran and was a pushing hands champion before she retired from competition. The teacher of the continuing classes is a Master Level teacher who has been studying and practicing t'ai chi ch'uan since 1970. There are several levels of students. Beginners work together. First part of the class are warmup exercises and ch'i kung (qigong) exercises. They are used for flexibility and range of motion as well as traditional health exercises were done. The curriculum is the same as was taught at Loma Linda University Drayson Center in past years. This curriculum was studied by researchers at Loma Linda University and found to significantly improve the balance of seniors and Diabetic patients with Neuropathy. Beginners work together and do basic drills that help their balance as well as learn the first form. The teacher keeps reminding students not to do anything that hurts. Continuing students work in groups and study more advanced forms. The class is one hour. At 7:15 there is an T'a-chi ch'uan Application and Pushing Hands class. That class taught the meaning of the movements in the form. The teacher was adamant that students need to understand what each movement means in order to do it properly. He also teaches pushing hands and sticky hands drills in this class. Small class with mainly advanced students. Low intensity, no falling as most of the people in the class are Seniors.

Sensei Prakash is dedicated to the practice and is passionate about Aikido. He is thorough with his teaching. He cares about his students and gives constructive feedback. The environment is set up with open airy space. It is very clean. The other students are welcoming and ready to share their knowledge too. I am grateful to be so close to this dojo. I would highly recommend checking out a class.

My…read moreson is a junior in high school and has attended a few classes here, and the experience has been great. He came home excited after each session, saying Chris showed him techniques and moves he had never learned before, things his school coaches had not covered. It helped him move on to the next levels in wrestling and he made it to CIF this year. With only few classes he attended, I cannot imagine if he had been going here longer he would be a beast out on the mat. What really stands out is the level of experience and success behind the coaching. The coach's daughter is state-ranked in girls wrestling, and I believe his son competes at the college level, which says a lot about the knowledge and dedication they bring to the gym. Most importantly, my son genuinely enjoys going. He is already looking forward to getting back once his track and field season is over, which says a lot. It's clear that the coaching is focused on helping athletes grow, learn new techniques, and build confidence. If your wrestler wants to take their skills to the next level, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

Everyone here is very welcoming and shows a lot of love! No cocky or stuck up people!

He loves going to class and learning. They do celebrate birthdays & have these small functions in order to creat unique events that will be memorable for the kiddos. Master Simpson even hosted a spirit week for his dojo. Each practice had a different theme and my kid loved the different events that were planned. He got to dress to be an old man or had silly hair. I love taking my child here since it serves as an outlet for his extra energy. Master Simpson has been reinforcing the positive respectful behavior we have been teaching him at home. My son has learned a lot more positive lessons while working in his class group. My child definitely feels sad if he ever misses a practice. I would definitely recommend this Martial Arts group to any parents interested in putting their children into a fun learning environment.
