Great place to get your nails done if you need a last minute appointment! I've gone here twice and have been pretty satisfied with my nails, but there was definitely room for improvement. Nail techs move quickly, which I personally appreciate. I also think their pricing is reasonable. Warning: parking here is a STRUGGLE. Incredibly disappointed with my experience. I've been coming here over the years as I grew up in the area, and the quality has really regressed. I went in for a basic pedicure and it was sloppy and rushed, there were bubbles in a few nails, polish over my cuticles and unevenly shaped nails. I asked to have the nails filed more evenly and nail polish cleaned up and they pedi still looked ROUGH. I pointed to where nails were filed unevenly and still needed cleaning up, but it was not getting resolved. I eventually gave up explaining and went to checkout. I told them I was extremely disappointed with my experience and they asked what they could do and that they'd have someone fix it, to which I responded "you already had someone try to fix it" and they said they could repaint my nails, which wasn't even the whole of the issue. Just a frustrating overall experience. read more

I only get acrylics and out of all the salons I've been to (check out my reviews of other nail salons) Sam was the best. This was the best almond shape I've had. I came in with a design in mind and showed the man the pictur. He proceeded to wave it away then grab the wrong color and make them the wrong shape. I had to correct the shape 90 times before he actually got it right all because he didn't look at the picture. I wanted a light pink nude insted i got bright orange. This was possibly the quickest, cursory $28 pedicure I ever had. The gentleman was not gentle and there was nothing special to say about this. I could have done a better job, but sometimes I like to pamper myself. All I did was waste money I have been searching for my new go to salon, and the reviews seemed like perhaps I found it. Everyone seemed so happy, but I was not one of them. I am not sure what they were thinking. This man clearly did not care much about what he was doing. The other young women working on other customers seem much more engaged. I know there are different packages, but cutting nails and scrubbing feet and then polishing does not warrant $28. I may give another chance and request someone that is mentioned frequently, but I do not know if I will. Two stars for easy parking but they can use a larger waiting area too! read more

No chip manicure . I went on a Wednesday a few days before my baby shower expecting bare minimum exceptional service instead I received this puffy overly polished no chip and very uneven nails. A previous customer left out complaining about the same guy stating he didn't shape her nails even & everyone looked at her like she was crazy... she wasn't. I expected less polish on my cuticles. I'm disappointed this was $40. I'm curious why? The tech didn't even have the decency to finish rubbing in the lotion he left on my arm but gave a full massage to the woman before me. I initially came to this salon out of frustration from my old nail place down the road. I saw that they had only been open a few days, had literally 2 reviews, but I was desperate and needed to get my nails fixed. At first glance, I was pleasantly surprised. It was aesthetically very pretty. A welcoming front desk....many options for gel colors....and even a bar consisting of coffee, tea, bottles of water and cookies. (Unheard of in any of the salons I've been to around here...). The meat and bones: I sat down with Tracey and she was immediately friendly, helpful and perhaps most importantly -knew what she was doing- !! I love my nails and the service that I got. All of the staff are family and also very knowledgeable. Came back a few weeks later for a fill in and a pedicure. (I brought my brother who has never had a pedi before and it was probably one of the better ones I've had around this town Oak Park-Forest Park-Riverside area). Same great service that I had a few weeks prior. Update: Been coming here regularly since this post and the deluxe pedicure is a must. Henry and Ben do an amazing job. I've been to this place several times now and I'm just really disappointed. The first time I got a no chip manicure and it was super thick and just didn't look good. The next time, I got a powder dip manicure, and it cracked the very next day. I went in to get it fixed, and they did fix it. So I decided to give them another chance. I got another powder dip manicure, and the same exact thing happened (see photo) - both my thumbnail and ring nail cracked 2 days after. I'm really frustrated because they're closed Monday (for the holiday) and also closed on Tuesday, and I'm going out of town on Tuesday, so I'll be taking it all off myself because I don't want my nails to look like this for my trip. What a waste of time and money. I really wouldn't recommend this place. ALSO - for the manicure I have now, I wanted the top coat to be matte, but they put a shiny top coat on and then it was too late to go back and do a matte coat. I give this place 3 stars because my friend went there she sent me a pic of her hands and her nails looked grown out. They could have definitely put the polish closer to the cuticle. They also charged her 250 bucks for a mani pedi and waxing which isn't the worst but could definitely be better. Her nails were very simple, with a few stickers on her ring finger. The rest a solid color. 250 is crazy considering that the pedi was very roughly done as I was told. If you are going here be prepared to have to get a fill done In a few days.
