I have been going to Q Nails for over 30 years. The do pedicures, eye lashes, eyebrows, and facial hair removal. You can have them go heavy, short or long on eyelashes. I have loved having my eyelashes done This is the third owner of of this business. It is family owned and has very hard working staff. You can walk in or set up appointments. I always recommend them to my friends. Monday and Tuesday mornings seem to be a slow time. So I usually try and go then since I am now retired. I was reading some of the reviews. I do not know where some of these people went, but Amy is not the owner of this facility any more. She sold out over 5 or years go and Kevin let's you know if you are going to have a long wait, and asks you to,come back at another time. No one runs away from a room that they are doing personal facial work, and they have a set price list. Not everyone understands every thing you say, but someone is there to explain it if they get confused. I wish the old reviews could be removed! read more

This place is okay the first 2 times I went for full sets I was happy then I went on my birthday for the third time. I waited about an hour and was being looked over multiple times by the lady at the desk then the lady took me to the nail station. After she was done I told her I liked them which I did but they didn't seem the be quite the color I asked for then the day after that went I went on vacation I noticed they were very uneven I'm not sure that I want to go there again. read more

Went in there friday evening, got a full set - french tip. I like the customer service but overall they charge everyone what they want to be honest. The lady before me paid 38 and had a different length and probably had more done to her nails . I assumed since i got short french tips that i would be charged equally but no it was 47. Usually when i get mine done somewhere else they charge me like 37. Ask the pricing before you get seated ! read more

This is by far the WORST place to come and get your nails, eyebrows, or eyelashes done. I waited for an hour and because I was doing the eyelashes extension, a longer process, they kept taking people who came after me, stating I had to wait because my process will take longer. Completely UNSATISFACTORY this is not how you run a business let alone provide customer service. I stumbled upon this salon quite by accident one day when I was out that way - which is totally out of my area and comfort zone. I needed my nails done and took a chance. This turned out to be the BEST mani I've ever had. I wish I had gotten the girl's name who took care of me. She was awesome. No sloppy edges or bare spots like I constantly get from the place I usually go. As the Fairfield location is not convenient for me at all, I'l definitely try the Milford store to see if they are just as good. Almost two weeks later, my manicure is still looking good! I received horrible service from the owner Amy on 032918. The older gentleman walked away from his station because the gel color I picked out was not the correct color he was preparing to apply to my nails. I informed him that I selected #93 which is a black and white color and the color he had was green. He applied the clear top coat and did not return. Amy stated he is not doing yours nails because I was being difficult. At first I thought she was joking because I did not accuse him of selecting the wrong color. I showed Amy the color on the nail chart and what the nail tech brought over and she said it doesn't matter. She said we know you, you are always difficult. I have been to her establishment twice and tipped very well. She basically told me if I don't like the service I could leave and go somewhere else. I never raised my voice or became disruptive. I still don't understand what happened. I WALKED OUT OF THE SHOP WITH TACKY CLEAR GEL POLISH ON MY NAILS. While there are a plethora of these type of nail salons around, this one is by far the best one I've ever been to. They're the nicest people, make my feet and hands look pretty, don't let me contract some disgusting skin condition that you'd hear about looming around nail salons on 60 minutes, and the main woman who works there remembers EVERYONE... Not just that she saw you a month or so ago - but fine details like where your parents live or your sisters name or what your degree is in... now that I think about it - its a little bizarre. Have you ever gotten a pedicure and they havent cleaned under your toe nails! I have! My experience at Q nails was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! They are nice as can be, but the quality truly sucks. I got a mani pedi as did my husband. His technician was good/average. The guy I had is not trained and his work shows. My cuticles weren't softened but he trimmed them. If you want poor service but English speaking technicians who are very nice, this is your place. read more

I have been a faithful customer of Q nails for about a year until recently when the quality of service and professionalism wasn't up to the standards I expect out of a nail salon. One or two of my nails after a week of getting them done would fall off. After awhile when I would call for an appointment the owner (who would always answer the phone) refused to write my name down, so as a result I would have to wait 30 or 40 minutes even though I had an appointment. There are other things but may seem pety to others so I will stop at what I have wriiten. I feel Q nails have lowered their standards that are therfore unacceptable and very unprofessional. It was ok...My first impression walking in is that it seems kind of dirty. A rag and some all-purpose wouldn't hurt. I only went in for a cut down and color change. I was seen immediately, so no wait. The girl who did my nails did seem like she was rushing, but my nails did come out fine. If you need a quick polish change, it's ok. I went there on Saturday 3/12 and got a full set, by Wednesday they were already lifting. I've been getting my nails done for 25+ years and never have they started to lift after a few days. The staff is friendly and there is a 10% discount if you pay with cash, but I should not have to get a fill a week later. I would not recommend this salon. read more

First time here.....the place is absolutely filthy. The man who did my nails had horribly sticky hands and I should've walked out the moment he touched me. I ended up with cuts all over my hands from his carelessness, went home and immediately put antibiotics on them. And I ended up with a nail fungus, too! He did so much damage to my nails and cuticles.... which were in great shape prior to going there. Just a filthy place with workers who have nasty attitudes. Do yourself a favor, go anywhere else. Worst pedicure I've ever gotten. It was a spa pedicure. The woman was nice enough but she did a terrible job. When I got home, my heels looked like cracked stone. The paint began wearing off all of my toes within 48 hours. I called to complain and the guy basically told me that unless I get a shellac pedi, I can't expect the paint to last. Seriously? A pedi should last more than 2 days. He also told me that I must have worn shoes before my toes had dried. I wore flip flops and ONLY flip flops for the rest of the day. He finally said I could come back in for them to repair it, but as I live 25 minutes away, I didn't have time. Never ever again. read more

This place is terrible. They are rude to their customers, if you question anything they don't do right, they tell you that you're a bad customer. When I tried to talk to a manger, his wife just kept saying he's not here....no matter what time I would call back. I asked for the owners name, and she refused to give it to me, then hung up on me. I paid $35 for a pedicure, and the man doing the service was too busy watching what was going on in the shop, instead of doing a good job. When I asked if he was going to trim the cuticles, he said that's $10 extra, $45 for a pedicure? I told him I had been coming there for 8 years, and that was always a part of the pedicure. He then told me, in front of other customers, that I ask too many questions and I'm getting on his nerves. Needles to say, I left without getting the manicure I had planned on getting as well. Which was going to be another $40. Cost isn't the issue. But paying that kind of money, to have a completely horrible job done, and be disrepected and spoken to so rudely, it just too much. On top of that, they bring their small grade school children to sit in the establishment for hours upon hours. (I've been going there 8 years) This little kids are there, breathing in those chemicals for hours. Sitting on couches, doing their homework or watching tv. This is horrible! I will never go back. I would strongly suggest to anyone...please take your business somewhere else read more
