    I am writing to let future tenants know that Rhino Realty treated us very fairly when we moved in…read more The house was and is in good condition, and it is a very fair price for the area we live in. After renting for two months, we found out that our property is now managed by Karie Taylor. She was one of the partners of Rhino, and she and Alex separated the business. Unfortunately we are one of the only houses that were transferred to Karie's business Elevated Management. She is/was the problem with this company. Alex, Vanessa, and Tiffany were all very professional and we could not have been happier. However, Karie is one of the most unprofessional, and difficult people I've ever had the misfortune to work with. She is erratic, accusatory, and financially corrupt.even though our lease indicates that we are responsible for all utilities, she is convinced that we should pay the water bill through her business. I have undeniable truth that we have been paying this bill, and we when we confronted her with that, she accused us 'inflicting bodily harm' to her and said she would bring the APD with her the next time she visits. She also insists that we landscape the backyard that is full of weeds and puncture vines. We have maintained the front and back yard and she still threatened us about removing all weeds from a yard that is literally covered with the. My husband and I feel really unfortunate that we were not able to continue with Rhino Realty. If there are any concerns that you have after reading this YELP page, please know that this business is great and you should not be worried to work with them.

David Salazar. I own a home in the same neighborhood where David lives, and we have been neighbors for several years. At the beginning David was nice and we got along. Over time, though, I came to understand that as a long-time Board Member for the Villa de la Capilla HOA, David was part of a very small and hyper-controlling group of residents who enjoy harrassing and terrorizing residents who are not in the "In Crowd." The HOA has been controlled by this core group of people for about 10-15 years. If you are not in their circle, you are scum. During the pandemic, in Spring 2021, I recorded a Zoom HOA Meeting where the then-President boasted gleefully about how much money the HOA had made the previous few months. The only revenue stream for the HOA comes from fining residents. This group of people, David among them, enjoys punishing people for even the smallest infractions, and they give zero grace for anyone not in their friend group. Quite literally, Board members like David can get away with breaking bylaws - David built an entire back yard wall illegally, without following proper procedures outlined in the bylaws. Another neighbor built a sidewalk. I planted flowers and was sent a threatening letter from lawyers. In the past three years, my HOA account has twice been run up with excessive bogus fines, once totaling over $1,200 and recently over $2,000. This even included legal fees and a lien placed against my property. When I have complained loud enough, almost all fines have been mysteriously removed overnight. Each time the bulk of bogus charges have been removed, however, they have left a pittance amount in petty charges, as if to somehow prove they were actually in the right. As of February 26, over $1,900 in fines were removed from my account overnight, while leaving $120.96. Blue Door and David have ceased responding to my emails - not professional at all. Since February 2023, I have been asking David and our property management company, Blue Door Realty, for a full historical account statement for my property. I have yet to receive that. I believe David is aware that what I will see in that statement will not reflect well on his actions, and may even leave him open to legal action. In summer 2022, David and I had a disagreement in our shared driveway, and he threatened to get a gun to "settle things." This was only months after my husband took his life with a 9 mm handgun in our backyard. I was utterly traumatized at David's words, much less his possible intentions. I have never worked with David as a Realtor. Knowing him as a private citizen, however, do not go near him. He has an ego that is driven by anger, control, and revenge. He is cruel and has zero emapthy for others. For me, David is nothing short of a heartless monster.

The team at Deacon also does an excellent job of qualifying tenants and acting as an effective intermediary between us. So, of course, when life served me up the need to find a li'l place of my own to rent I went first to Deacon. Now I can tell the story of how they treat the tenants; a) with respect by each human I have the opportunity to connect with via phone, text or e-mail b) with efficiency, using tech to limit my time investment and c) working with me to accommodate my situation in one of their (as I already know) well-managed properties. Woot! Got a place to rent out? Call Deacon. Looking for a great place to call home for awhile? Call Deacon.

This place is so awful and what is with that horrible fence in the front. It smells it is dirty and I saw mice inside the apartment that had been reported and they never did anything. I am from the east coast I know how to get a cities attention for a slumlord like this. They are going to be so sorry they didn't fix this place up and instead just raises rent every time they get a chance. How sexy!…read more Seriously, if I could have read some honest reviews about property management companies when we were shopping for a new one, I would've paid for the feedback. These companies aren't cheap, and they're a critical component of a planned neighborhood. Our last company was a nightmare. We took a chance on HOAMCO because 1) they were somewhat local, with an office here and another in Phoenix and 2) they seemed to really care, visiting repeatedly to discuss our ambitions and challenges, listening, responding in a timely way. Six months into our first contract, I'm very happy with our choice. They aggressively sought out legal help to interpret our nondescript covenant, established an efficient structure for our annual meetings, and became the sole go-to for neighbor issues, relieving the HOA of so much undeserved pressure. Hire them. Ask for Tracy. And hey, while I'm at it, this goes out to the monster who decided to make the HOA her personal vendetta, simply because we asked her to stop parking her truck in the fire lane: nobody likes a bully. You're THAT neighbor, you know who I'm talking about, the one that everyone else whispers about? The crazy one? The one who should just pack up and head out? That's you. I can't imagine how that must feel. But I can see this consuming you.

    We rented our first home in Albuquerque from Joe Azar with Metro Commercial Reality, Inc…read more and I can say that my experience with Joe is the single best experience I've ever had as a tenant. To begin with, our apartment was clean and everything was fully operational when we moved in. It was genuinely, "Move-in Ready", and we didn't have to spend hours tidying up in order to make our new home livable. This is a very big deal to me as I have sadly had the opposite experience in the past. Throughout the course of our lease, we had a couple of things break or stop functioning properly and on every single one of these instances repairs were made within 24 hours. In fact, there were even a couple of times where repairs were completed within hours. Anybody who has ever had a poor landlord/landlady knows how impressive this is. I can say from personal experience that I've had to deal with broken and dangerous conditions for nearly the full duration of my lease in a couple of rentals I've lived in over the years and Joe's responsiveness is second-to-none. Finally, and most importantly to me, Joe is a genuinely good person. Though I'm sure he would never mention it himself, Joe truly knows and cares about his tenants. I learned a great deal about Joe's character during the sad occasion when one of my neighbors passed away unexpectedly. Joe displayed a level of kindness that is very rare these days and he was extremely supportive of my neighbor's mother during her time of grief. Words cannot adequately express the depth of respect and compassion Joe showed during the process of honoring the life of my neighbor and I can honestly say that I feel deeply blessed to know Joe. We were planning to rent from Joe indefinitely because of our wonderful experience leasing from him, but we had the good fortune to qualify for a home purchase so alas, we do not live in one of Joe's properties any longer. If you are searching for a well maintained home with a truly extraordinary landlord, I highly recommend Joe Azar at Metro Commercial Reality, Inc. You will be very happy you gave Joe a call. I refer every person I know searching for a home to Joe without hesitation. Leasing an apartment from Joe was a great experience.
