If you ever get a chance to come thru Adelaide Airport and happens to fly with Virgin Australia…read moreAirlines, you have to book Business Class to enjoy the Virgin Australia Lounge. What a great business lounge area here at the Adelaide Airport in Australia. You are greeted by warm smiles and outgoing agents at the check in where swiping your boarding pass is one of the ways to enter. Very convenient and elegant yet simple. We got here for an early flight and did not see too many people. However, as the hours go by, the lounge started to pick up. With various style of seating from comfy chairs to buttons to recliners, there were many available seatings, even for multiple families of business class should they venture through. Since the lounge operates throughout the day, they serve all three variety of meals. We had the breakfast which including the gourmet scrambled eggs, meat sausage, variety of bread, and all the fixings that goes with it. Alongside that meal, should you splurge on a little bit further, there is another bar full of healthy alternatives that includes Greek yogurt, fruits, cheese, and the likes. I am meat eater so I left that all behind. The barista lounge area has all your favorite morning beverages from long black coffee, latte, mocha, frapa, hot choco, and cappuccino galore. There is bound to be something hot for everyone. Place the order along with your name and it'll be served and called out when done. Did I mention the service was pretty fast. For those that crave mid day adult beverages, you'll have to wait till 12pm as the bar will be fully open; they have all the fixings and concoction of cocktails to spirits and beers alike. Our flight boards at 11:50am so we'll be missing that portion of the experience here at the lounge. The ambience of the area and room is very classy with a hint of low level lighting providing for a mellow relaxing feel. You'll get to lounge and relax, enjoy a meal or two, before your flight to wherever you're going. Highly recommending this lounge to everyone who lives and appreciate traveling experiences and the food.

I'll call it out now. I'm a Qantas boy through and through and I struggle with the "Virgin way" of…read moredoing things but on this visit, I was seeing off a mate. I'm a member but I wasn't flying and that didn't seem to phase the door staff. Luckily, I didn't bring a cat with me because I wouldn't have been able to swing it in the Lounge. Yes, it's small compared to the Qantas Club but its comfortable. The food is fine, similar to the food Qantas serve and be bathrooms are typical of an airport lounge, What I struggled with is the service. Being used to Qantas' fussy, 'always on' style of service, I was surprised to see no one serving at the bar, no one constantly checking the food and the two staff welcoming guests were very busy searching Goole Images. Gavin said that, I didn't want for anything and our table was cleared periodically, The Lounge is nice enough and reflects the rest of Virgin Australia's service. I'll still take a Qantas flight and lounge experience any day.

This is a joint review from two yelpers who stumbled across this cute little cocktail/tapas bar one…read moreThursday night. The walls of this bar make you feel like you are in a child's bedroom. The theme is based on the tale of the flying trunk. The cocktails are delicious. We had the salted caramel star and the so flute. I loved the little pretzel star in the salted caramel. They also serve tapas food. They also serve tapas food. We had the pan fried gnocchi with artichokes, and the buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes. Mmm! The prices are pretty reasonable as well. The cocktails are $17 - $20. The tapas is under $15. We also had a lovely conversation with the owner evi about the design of the place. I'd love to come back again on my way home from workies :) Nothing much more I can add to what Karen F had commented, both Adam & Evi are great hosts. Very attentive and explained both the cocktails and food very well and enticed us into trying them. Enjoyable evening.

I have only been here for a wine and cocktail so far but this place really adds to the quirky little shops, bakeries and cafes that are popping up on KWR! Fast and friendly service, combined with some unique concoctions and names of cocktails means you will spend most of your time there deciding which cocktail you'll get when you next return. The Elephant Espress is on my list to try next time. If you are like my other half though and think cocktail is for cordial drinkers then never fear - the wine and beer list is for quoffers and swirlers alike. These guys take their booze seriously and I am definitely signing up for one of their monthly "tasting flight masterclasses" in the future.

Unfortunately they don't have a private function room, but they offered the back end of the bar for us, which wasn't what I was looking for but they were very helpful and accommodating to what I said I liked and wanted etc. The second time I came here was a Sunday night with a few of the girls. We decided to have a couple of quiet drinks and to splurge on a cocktail. I chose the Snickers cocktail which was delish!! It cost about $16 but it was huge. That night Sunset Bar wasn't overly busy and there were a few very drunk girls making fools of themselves (but I guess you can get this anywhere), but apart from that the location of Sunset Bar is great, it's got a large bar and plenty of seating and dance floor space. You can also sit outside on the Marina side or beach side. A perfect summer spot!

We came here for a couple of drinks and this bar is the perfect place for it. The wine list is nice with a a good amount of options by the glass and a "wine of the month". There's a good selection of craft beer and cocktails also - I had the snickers one which was amazingly delicious. We also tried some wedges which were perfect and crispy. I found the staff really helpful and friendly (although maybe it was because we were mainly served by a bearded bartender and had an equally bearded friend with us!) and they cleared our empty glasses really quickly which was good as we had limited space on our table. My only complaint was that the live music on the night was way too loud, it was much louder than the normal music playing over the speakers and forced us to yell at eachother to have a conversation. Note: They also accept paywave and credit on bar.

There are 4 exclusive parts to the Jetty Bar…read more Take a step back in time to the front bar, when this drinking hole was known to locals as The St Vincent Hotel (The joys of dating a Cougar). Excluding a fresh coat of paint, updated carpet, the front bar bar is still in original form (including the regulars that drink there). Look out for the snake bite specials, going out at 10 bucks a jug. You can still catch a local rock/punk band playing on your favourite night of the week (I can't remember what night that is). A step through the corridor and past an ATM, will take you to another bar with big screen TV's and a decent coctail menu. Bi-fold glass doors open up to Moseley Square. This place is more upmarket, so leave your flannel shirt and the previous bar, and whack on your Don Travisty instead. If you're over front bar action, head to rear bistro which has the vibe and decor that reflects a Goldcoast Casino in the 90's. The schnittys are hot, and still at fair bistro prices. Finish your meal to the ambience of a water feature, and if you need time to re-coup, the pokies are just to the right. When you're ready to move on, take 5 steps to the rear car park, or continue on to "The G"

Interestingly when the pub first opened back in 1869, it was known as The Jetty Hotel so it has gone back to its original name. If you like to listen to some music while you sip your drink, The Jetty has live bands on most Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. When the bands aren't playing they have a jukebox in the front bar that's rocking from 7 each night and on Wednesdays you can get into a bit of karaoke if that's your thing. The Jetty Hotel isn't a ritzy experience. It's the kind of pub where you have a beer and put your bets on if you're in the front bar but it is a good place to watch the world go by. If you're in the market for a bite to eat, you can get a good feed either in the front bar or the Watergarden Bistro. They also have a café and a function room to accommodate close to 150 people. Should you so desire you can stay at The Jetty. It has 16 rooms and the rooms are well priced.
