He's a younger guy - maybe early 30s - talkative and has a pleasant somewhat offbeat manner. During the whole healing process, he made several mentions that he wanted to take no chances so that her wrist would look good in her wedding pictures some day :) We went right back to him when our teen-aged son was involved in a motorcycle crash this year -- luckily it was tendons strained and not bones. The staff is pleasant and professional - have had no billing or insurance issues. The waiting room is very comfortable - since Lamberti gives patients plenty of personal attention, you may have to sit for a few extra minutes, but it's worth it when it's your turn. There's a separate imaging office for xrays downstairs that has a quick turnaround (Oakbrook Imaging or something like that).

Fortunately, they had an MRI available at another location. However, when I went to see the scheduler to schedule my mom's MRI, that was where we experienced the most disservice. The scheduler assisting us was Sara, and she was the most condescending, insulting, and arrogant person I have ever met. First, she called my mom's name, and I told my mom that I could speak on her behalf to get the appointment scheduled. Sara replied with an annoyed tone, "I need the patient. I have questions for her to answer." I explained that I handle all my mom's scheduling and that she gives me full consent to assist her. Sara responded, "Why do you know all her history?" So, I asked my mom to come up just to get it over with. Then, Sara asked if my mom spoke English, and my mom answered "Yes." Sara responded with an insulting look and said, "Do you speak English... WELL?" My mom pointed to me and said she would tell me if there was something she didn't understand. Then, Sara asked my mom what her primary language was, saying it was needed to arrange for a translator. She continued asking question after question, which both my mom and I answered. Afterward, Sara asked, in a condescending tone, "Are you going with her to the MRI appointment?" I said yes, and she replied, "Okay, because I don't know how good our translators are." Then, Sara said the earliest appointment she had available was on the 28th, which was a Friday. If that didn't work, she had Saturday available. I told her I would prefer Saturday, as I work Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. She responded in a condescending and insulting tone, "No, not Saturday. Erase that. She can only go Monday to Friday because she needs a translator." I explained that my mom understood the language, but Sara insisted, "No, she needs a translator. Forget I said Saturday. She cannot go on that day." I reminded her that I would be accompanying my mom, especially since she had asked if I was going, as she wasn't sure how good the translators were. Despite this, she insisted that my mom could not go on the Saturday appointment. I finally told her to forget it and that we would go with an outside provider who could accommodate us on a Saturday. I don't understand why my mom couldn't go on the Saturday appointment when I can translate for her. It wasn't my mom's first time having an MRI--she had previously had MRIs of her brain and neck. I don't understand why she was making such a big deal out of it. I thought Sara would help us make it work, but instead, we felt mistreated and insulted by her actions and words.

Day 1 (Feb. 17, 2019): I broke my wrist (distal radius fracture) and was treated and put on a flint at local ER. Day 2: I saw Dr. Alexander Soneru at Chicago Hand & Orthopedic Surgery Center in Oakbrook Terrace and showed him the X-Ray I received from the ER. There he X-rayed my wrist again and told me the reduction was good and no need for him to do anything else, but casted forearm and wrist. Day 9 (a week later): Follow-up visit. Took another X-Ray, being told that all goes well, and come back a week later. Day 16: Follow-up visit: Below is the conversation between Dr. Soneru and me as soon as we sat down: Dr. Three weeks passed and you'll change into a short cast today. Me: Mmmm, not three weeks yet but two. Dr. Awww.... Let's have another X-Ray. So, a technician gave me an X-Ray. A few minutes later, the doctor came in and told me: Dr: It's healing well, we are going to put a short cast. Me: Yes? both places? (there are two places that fractured.). Dr: Wait .... walking out of the room A few minutes later, Dr. came back to the room: Dr: I'm sorry for giving you mixed messages ... you need SURGERY. Then, the X-Ray technician came with the old, cut-up cast, trying to put it back on my broken write. I asked the technician "you're using the same, dirty, smelly, cast on me?" ... The poor guy left room and came back with some clean padding in the old cast then tried to put it back on me. Imagine, a technician, without any training obviously, tried so hard to put an old cast on a broken arm ... ! I felt so bad for him and could not put up with the pain anymore. So I told him "this is good enough for now. I'll try to fix it myself when I get home." which I did. This is Day 16, March 4, my third visit of him .... Three days later I saw a different surgeon at Loyola and received a successful surgery there. But it's almost 3 months passed but I'm still in pain and recovery. No doubt the delayed surgery has taken a heavy toll on my recovery.

From August 2021 through March 2023, Ms. Lowrey was my therapist for problems in my right shoulder post-surgery. At first, her demeanor was pleasant and professional. However, in November 2022 her behavior towards me became increasingly dismissive then eventually rude and unprofessional. For instance, Ms. Lowrey became unnecessarily sarcastic when I asked why my shoulder was not making sustained improvement. Her response was "You just don't do things right, so it is not MY fault, Ken." I never understood why she had me repeat the same exercises, the identical number of repetitions month after month when there was little improvement in my shoulder. During sessions in November 2022 through early February 2023, Ms. Lowrey made routine jabs at my "memory problems". This despite her 15+ years as an OT. She should have learned physiological problems should not be the stuff of jokes and sarcasm from a health care professional. Ms. Lowrey did not apologize for her words until I expressed my anger to her assistant. She even refused to finish a session in February 2023 "... because I need to eat lunch and that is important to me." Other times I saw Ms. Lowrey become unprofessional with older patients and veterans. In one instance, an older patient became so incensed with Ms. Lowrey that he swore at her and said he would never come back to finish his therapy. Ms. Lowrey laughed at his outburst and told me "So what." In summary, if you need occupational therapy and want it from an empathetic therapist, PLEASE go somewhere else.

I came in for a moving injury on my shoulder a while back. He did an x-ray at his location and said that it didn't seem like there was a tear, maybe just less cushion between my joints. He decided to schedule MRI as "an abundance of caution". However, He didn't recommend a basic MRI, he recommended an arthrogram which in hind sight, seemed unnecessary. He recommended a local hospital as is preferred partner, and it was awful. The MRI cost me $700 and took about three hours versus a outpatient Quest Diagnostic type location that should've been 100 bucks and an hour. I never received the MRI results from the hospital. I recently received a bill from Dr. Mody's office for another $200 for my initial visit. I have yet to return to even go through the MRI results, partially because I don't have them (thanks Advent La Grange for wasting more time I don't have) and partially because this seems like a bill at all costs type practice. I refuse to go back if it's going to cost me $200 when any other specialist under our health plan is a $50 copay. Note- I gave them my insurance upfront so this shouldn't be a $200 + $600 MRI for a sore arm.

My orthopedic surgeon recommended this place to give it a try and to hold off for surgery unless absolutely necessary. I went for an additional three visits and my pain substantially reduced after those additional visits. If you have the time and money definitely worth a try even though insurance doesn't cover treatments it's FDA approved. Surgery was a last resort for me and I'm glad I went. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The treatments take about 10-15 minutes on average and results last about 15 hours, not sure if the physical therapy is working or laser therapy is helping with the pain, but I feel better and thats how good I feel now. The therapists are all amazing and I have had 2 technicians work with me, Jocelyn and Angelica are just awesome as they explained everything before starting my treatments. The location is easy in and out, right across from Binny's liquor on 83( kingory highway). The owner, Kevin was super helpful with all my questions and I signed up for 6 treatments to start. It is not cheap, but in the long run of life, it is worth every penny spent. I can now continue doing the things that I enjoy, that peace of mind has helped loads. I would go back as needed if my pain starts to return. Try a the 6 treatments first and go from there, I saw results after the first time, my friends gave me a home laser therapy machine for my birthday, this maybe why so quick to recover.
