    French Dip
    Ava J.

Great place to go and watch Saturday games! Lots of tvs to make sure everyone is happy. Plenty of seating and a great environment. Inside yet open windows. The French dip was good but not the best I've had. It is a bar, so you come for the drinks and enjoy the food as a plus. Food came out rather fast, you order at the bar and pick up from the kitchen. Will be returning to watch the games!

I really wanted to like this place and just couldn't. I will start with the positives. The location is amazing. We loved people watching from the open-air bar seating. Such a cute experience. And, the guy who took our order was super cool. Things went downhill from there. I had a Long Island iced tea. I seriously don't know if there was any alcohol in my drink. I ended up ordering a beer because I knew that concentration was regulated. Hubby and I both ordered wings and a basket of the bacon cheese fries to share. First, any spot that serves wings and can't do all flats or all drums will automatically get the side eye from me. I got the old bay dry rub. I ordered 8 but could only stomach 4 of them because they were so salty. It's like they over salted the wings and then added the old bay. I was so disappointed. The cheese fries were just meh...had they been hot, they would have been better. This place is in such a cool location and had decent reviews so I was excited to encourage my hubby to give it a try. Yikes! I made a mistake. This one will be a one and done.

Other than the challenges of finding parking in South End in the evening, this was a perfect way to sit, have a drink, have a bite and simply enjoy being out. A beer for me, a can of something nonalcoholic for Mrs. K., and we got the spicy cheese fries. Lots of fries and lots of cheese (layered through, not just on top) and chopped jalapenos. Delicious, spicy, just a little messy. We had a good time and can see this place getting super busy on any game night. Enjoy! [Review 2505 of 2024 - 3958 in North Carolina - 23517 overall]

QC Pour House was a fun place to watch a game at. It's like most places in Charlotte - nice, but a little corporate and lacking in personality. Having said that, the staff did a great job and were very attentive, and I enjoyed my experience here. I would definitely recommend as a place to watch any live sporting event, or multiple at a time.

It was pretty chilly in the city when I came here with my mom while visiting my brother. We came here to have a beer. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone wanting to catch a game. It's a pretty big area and has a lot of seating. It was nice being one of the only ones here. I've walked past this place before in previous trips and have seen how packed it can get! They have a lot of different beers to choose from. My brother and I settled on an IPA we haven't had before. Overall, it was a nice time!

Let's talk about one of the best appetizers slash make your entree...Six in a Dish. Six house-made meatball halves, marinara, and mozzarella with a generous side of cheesy garlic bread. Need I say more? Buffalo wings are always our go-to appetizer and these are covered in the best buffalo sauce. Jay's Favorite Sandy has become our favorite sandy... Grilled blackened chicken, jalapeños, cheddar, LTO, and QCPH sauce on a toasted sub roll - yes please! WiFi, Kombucha and coffee are available for working hours.

The food is soooo yummy here. I've tried a lot of their menu and have never had something I don't enjoy. This is by far the best greasy bar food in town. Fun fact -- you can mix any of their wing sauces together on the tenders, I'm obsessed with Buffalo Garlic Parm!!!

Giant salad but chicken seemed more roasted than grilled. Flavor was good for both salad and tots, But the price of the sides was too high- $6.5 for a side of tots or the other sides . Everything else was reasonably priced. Atmosphere with the windows up was nice!

We stopped by here to use an Offline Charlotte Deal. I'm glad we did, as I would've never thought to drop by for food. We came without the kids. While family friendly (we did see some babies and young kids), I would prefer coming here just with my husband. It can get a bit rowdy during a game - not at all in a bad way - good lively vibes! The food was really good. We ordered a burger, Greek Fries, and wings. I was all about the wings. They were cooked just how I like them. I will certainly be back! There is a great variety of local beers and is a prime location.

My friends and I stopped into QC pour house this weekend after spending the afternoon visiting some breweries. The place was very busy, but we were still able to get served pretty quickly. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar and then we're able to grab a table for 6. The food came out within 15 minutes and everyone enjoyed what they got! The pretzel bites came with beer cheese which was really yummy and great to share. I had their buffalo chicken sandwich with tots and it came with a good amount of blue cheese (which I love) and a nice amount of buffalo sauce. Great spot to stop in at if you're in the area!

Came in for a date night and basically felt completely ignored when we went to the bar to try to interact to see how it works at this particular location we were told nothing about the special that was going on we we're not helped and didn't seem like they were even interested in our business so we left. Overall I just think it was very poor customer service and the whole vibe of the area inside was just off. We definitely will never be back and do not recommend anyone to come unless you're into being ignored...what a shame. I ended up giving this review two stars solely because the walls that were painted were actually really cool...otherwise one star.

This is 100% the place to be on Sundays! I went to meet up with friends and watch some football & the atmosphere was awesome. Also, really liked that it wasn't a select team bar, there were fans of every football team there watching games. They have drink specials everyday of the week. I got the panthers punch, which was sour but good! Also, enjoyed the pretzel bites - easily some of the best bar food I've had in South End! On the inside, there really cool charlotte graffiti. However, not a ton of tables available- so be prepared to stand if you go on a busier day/night. Lastly, no parking in the area - probably easiest to park in atherton mill or ride the light rail to East/West station and walk.

Mine was an elevated version of a whiskey sour and it was perfect. Multiple people had the Saturday BBQ plate special which was a fantastic deal. For $10.99 you got a large serving of bbq, a slice of garlic bread, slaw and a side of your choice. Both people were impressed with their meal and one ended up taking 1/2 of the bbq home. Others , including myself, got flatbreads. There was an issue with my meal and the manager handled it quickly and sincerely. I really appreciated that. I will absolutely order the chicken bbq bacon flatbread again. It's jalapeno bacon, so it gave a little kick that worked well with the sweet bbq sauce. I also had a side salad with roasted garlic vinaigrette (was slightly sweet and garlicky). The greens were fresh and the ingredients were good quality, not a lame bar salad. The waitress had no problem letting me bring in a nothing Bundt cake for a birthday celebration. We walked out at 11pm and the place was even busier than at 9pm and was just a nice place to relax with friends with good food and drink. Even with the issue with my meal, we will be back!

We went across the street and they didn't allow dogs on the patio so a quick Yelp search led us to Jack Beagles. With a dog in the name, I figured it would be dog friendly and I was right... it's event dog friendly inside which was great since we had the baby and it was hot out. They were happy to seat us in the dining room and since breakfast was about to end and lunch was about to start, we had the option of both. Some ordered breakfast and a few of us order the tenders because our server said it was one of the most popular items. I don't normally go for tenders at a new place, but they had garlic parm which drew me in. They were pretty great and served with waffle fries. My buddy got this massive burger that I was eyeing as well and I had a little bit of food envy when it came out. It was called The Big Bear and was sporting 2 Patties, 2 X Bacon, 2 x White American Cheese, Pickled Jalapeno, and Chipotle Aioli. I would definitely try that next time. Only odd thing was that when the burger came out, my buddy asked for a knife other than a butter knife to cut it since it was so big. Instead of offering to bring it to the kitchen to cut it, she came out from the back to say they don't have any steak knives and the only sharp ones are with the cook. No big deal, but a little odd. Anyway, we had a great lunch before hitting the road that accommodated all of our needs.

I loved how they choose to serve waffle fries over regular fries. There is just so much texture and flavor going on there. The Mac and cheese looked creamy and gooey and was told it was really good. Next time I will order a different side. The atmosphere here is bright and lively with a nice view of the water where you can take paddle boat rides. People love to walk over here, so it is nice to have an open view. The restaurant has a tiki bar vibe and has surfing theme throughout the place. Really fun and relaxing.
