    Holiday flight
    Zara T.

This place is a lot of fun! I've gone for their holiday flights a few times now and really enjoyed. They are rather sweet, but they suit the holiday theme well so it's worth it! I have no idea how much the flights cost... so it's probably a little pricier given the theme. But! I would go if I had to wait at Runaway and the vibe of the restaurant is really fun. Bar is big, so you could sit alone and watch a game or hang with friends easily. Food was good - not going to change your life, but tasty and convenient. Was very happy with their Brussels sprout salad!! Overall a happy experience. Hope they incorporate more themed drinks / promos / menus as they continue.

I've been here a few times now, and I really want to eat here but it's just not worth it. Prices are just way too high for what is offered. I really enjoy the patio and the decor inside. Service is hit or miss. Wednesday when I was there, it was a miss. They do have daily specials and parking behind the building.

Came here for brunch and definitely enjoyed my mimosa. They have a $4 mimosa special Saturday and Sunday which is perfect. I ordered the Mac n cheese with chicken tenders. The tenders and bbq bourbon sauce were really good. I do wish the Mac n cheese had more flavor and real cheese. But overall it was good. My server was super sweet and the inside was really casual like a sports bar! Will recommend this spot for a chill Sunday'

Came here on a busy Friday night and sat at the bar and was served super fast. I got the burger, Brussels, and margarita. All the food was really really good. Each night they have various food and drink specials so check those out before ordering! It's a sports bar so expect it to be a little loud if there's football etc on. Will be back!

I have now been in here a couple of times and I've found that it is a fun option to catch a sporting event with friends. Located on Thrift Road in the fast growing Wesley Heights neighborhood, Streetcar contains a number of TVs along with a large wraparound bar and a variety of indoor and outdoor seating. The decor seems to be comic book inspired while also paying homage to the city of Charlotte. While I would definitely classify them as a sports bar, they also like to get creative with their cocktails and have in the past hosted themed popups including a Christmas one that I've heard good things about. Their food menu is small but they include some solid options. I wouldn't say this is a place I would go out of my way to grab dinner at, but if you are there grabbing drinks or watching sports with friends they have some good food to munch on. Overall it gives great neighborhood hangout vibes and the times I've been there they have played great music which is a plus.

Convenient location on Thrift Road with average parking. The restaurant is really nice inside with a fun comic book style decor. The bar is large with plenty of TV's and they have an outdoor area too. Service was good and the quality of the drinks is worth the wait. The Espresso Martini Creme Brulee Martini's were excellent. Smashburger and house made chips were also very good. Menu is small but I guess that will help keep the quality up. They said they do brunch as well.

A waste of time and calories..... I can't believe that this place was so bad. The bartender was very sweet and she did her thing today. (5/12/24) I'm sitting here as I write this because I really can't believe it. Wings were terrible, I ordered sweet and spicy but it was a very bland undercooked appetizer. I ordered loaded Tots, and they were messed up the first time because they had ranch. Then when they came out they were cold fries that I could barely stand to eat. You could tell the fries were old and refried and they just threw bacon and cheese on them. Not very appetizing.

On a Saturday night my large party was able to sit at the corner of the bar and it was perfect. The drink the bartender suggested (goosebump) was very good. I'd come back for the vibes

I'm sooo glad we checked this place out tonight! It was a slow Monday right at opening time so we were the only bar guests but the server and manager were so warm and welcoming to my toddler and newborn, they even put on Bluey on the big screens. They went above and beyond and the food was fast and delicious. Monday night was half off bottles of wine so we only paid $16 for a bottle of Rose! Also honorable mention for the gluten free options (gluten free buns for burgers +$2). Everything was so clean, including the bathrooms (but no changing tables- not a surprise for the area and vibe) We will definitely be frequenting here. :)

Went for Sunday brunch and this place is DELICIOUS! The mimosa offerings were awesome, the food was delicious and I cannot wait to go back! Seems like their appetizer list is amazing, the alcohol/bar selection rocks, and lots of tvs to be able to watch sports! Will absolutely be back!!!

4 cheese mac and cheese. Naked wings with bourbon bbq on side.

Fun, lively place…read more My friends and I were in town and wanted to have one last drink before we jetted out the next morning, so we ended up in trendy South End. First thing we noticed was how HUGE this place is. I feel like everywhere we turned, each section had its own vibe and its own designated bar. With the loud music, it was more loungey than anything and the crowd was on the much younger side. Canopy seems to be the go-to place in the South End. We did not encounter this kind of lines or crowds anywhere else in the area. Ordered a grapefruity drink (Our Flowerchild) off the menu and it was pretty good. Price was alright - definitely cheaper than what I'd pay in NYC (which is already atrocious in itself).

I bet it gets packed here, though, as the surrounding area is quite busy. We parked at a lot down the street, It's behind the train track so parking could be a little difficult. There seem to be a couple of garages near by, though. For drinks, we had the Three Wiseman and Fizz The Season. Very booze forward but tasty and enjoyable. The bartender was extremely skilled at his art and carefully curated our cocktails. We also had a little photoshoot while here, and it's the perfect spot to do so! I'd love to come back here and try other drinks. Highly recommend!

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

It can be hard to find if you are coming in from the main street as it is located inside a building that has other restaurants and stores inside. But it is rather spacious inside with lovely minimalistic and neutral vibes. The service was pretty great as we were given recommendations and our water was continuously refilled. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.

We started with the Prosciutto carpaccio and the Whipped Ricotta appetizers to share. Both of those were pretty good and the bread that came along with it was good too. It was grilled and nice and crispy. For drinks, one of my friends ordered the rosé wine flight, I ordered their house red wine, and my other friend ordered wine as well. The wine selection was good so we are pleased with that. It was our main entrées that we ordered that we were not pleased with. For example, I ordered the steak skewer, which I understood would be a small plate, but when it came out to find that it was just one skewer was a little bit misleading, and I wish that I had ordered something else because that was not enough for my dinner. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food arrived so I wasn't even able to add any more small plates. In addition, my friend did not enjoy her pasta at all, and I tried to bite, and it was not good. Only my friend who ordered the Bolognese pasta was pleased with her dinner choice. Due to our server not coming back to our table to check on us and also didn't really give us suggestions of what to order or how to order I wasn't very pleased with our experience. I don't know if I would come back because honestly, the meal was pretty mid for how expensive it was priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute and the patio as well but the food is mid and expensive for the service to be so poor.
