I've been to Deejai's twice and have enjoyed both experiences, however, this last time I tried the Salmon Curry for the first time and I just have to say....if you were even thinking about, JUST DO IT! It was SO delicious and flavorful and I'm so glad I listened to our waitress who suggested it. I will note that if you don't like spice, this is not the dish for you. But if you do, you will love it! It has just the right amount of kick! I also got some edamame and Thai tea which was really delicious! The staff is extremely nice and welcoming and it has not been super busy the times I've gone, but they do take reservations so I would still recommend to do so! The restaurant is pretty chill and has nice vibes. They have a special of if you spend $40 you can get a free item and we chose cheesecake, which was just your standard cheesecake but still good! Highly recommend and I will most definitely be back for the Salmon Curry!

Moo Ping - Had it as my entree. Really yummy.

We have been to Deeja multiple times and have always really enjoyed it. The parking lot is small but there is also plenty of free street parking. It is a few blocks away from all the bars so I enjoy that it's away from the crowded streets but also close enough to easily drive to a bar or small concert venue. In the past, I have ordered their salmon curry which is phenomenal but expect to take some home because it's rather large. This time around we ordered the Honey honey, Firecracker, and Red dragon rolls. We loved the rolls, they were fresh and a great price.

Ok this place was hip and trendy so what more could you ask for. Service was nice! Food was tasty. I liked the location had a small parking lot!

Came here for dinner with a friend after a long day of traveling. Our waitress was prompt and the place was clean and had a good playlist going so no complaints there. I loved the beer selection and the sushi roll I got was easily a 8.5/10. Definitely recommend for a quick bite.

DeeJai Noodle Bar is a hidden gem serving up fantastic Asian and Asian fusion dishes. Great service with a sushi bar and cocktail bar. Love their patio space but also inside is fun and funky.

I only got an order to go so I don't have too much to say, but I enjoyed it. The hostess that took my order was very nice and quick to help and since she knew I'd be next door, she said that she would bring the food over when it was ready. I ordered a spicy crab salad which is just imitation crab, masago in spicy mayo and lettuce. It was the best crab salad I've ever had. It tasted fresh and a lot of different textures. It gave a sweet and savory taste and the perfect amount of spicy from the spicy mayo. It was enough to fill me up so it was the right amount of food. I wish I could have tried more but from the looks of other people ordering food there as well, I can say it is pretty good.

If you like authentic Thai food, STAY AWAY!!! While the people working here were very friendly and tried to be accommodating, they could not make up for the poor quality of this food! My wife is Thai and I have lived in Thailand for many years, so we know to set the bar lower when eating Thai food in the states. We usually get simple dishes like somtam and moo ping so we won't be disappointed. It could not have been worse. The papaya salad tasted nothing like what it should be. No sign of chili, no fish sauce, tasted from tamarind and soooo much sugar! Truly awful. The moo ping was not fresh and we had to request sticky rice, the rice we were given was not sticky rice. The taste of the pork was bland and over cooked. We also had a pork noodle soup dish which once again had no flavor. I requested Thai spicy... I got bland chicken soup. When I asked for chilis and some vinegar to help the taste, all I got was puzzled looks. The bar manager came over and was very nice and apologetic about the quality. She offered to take off the cost of one of the dishes which she did. Actually I had no problem paying for what we ordered, but for sure we will never be back. If you love Thai food then this place is very disappointing. There has to be much better places than this in Charlotte!

When you search for best restaurant to eat in NoDa neighborhood, Deejai would pop up for sure as one of the top choices. Ever since NoDa been gentrified, there are not a lot of parking for eateries, one of the good things about Deejai, beside their good food is they have parking space available. Food, yes, all kind of Asian flavors, mostly Thai style I think. Also they have Sushi too. Sushi is pretty common in Charlotte area, but good bowl of noodles are harder to get. Anything I try so far is good, especially the duck curry. Very popular. Other soap base dishes are good too. I don't know if they make their broth themselves or not, seems like it because it is not too salty like other asian restaurants. If you are in the area, and want Asian food, this is a place for you

Walking into the restaurant, the ambiance was cozy and hip...just what I'd expect from a NoDa restaurant. We were seated in a cozy corner with our large family group and were quite comfortable. Our waiter was super friendly but the service from the bar and kitchen seemed unreasonably slow given the number of people in the restaurant. Flavors were lighter than expected - almost to the point of questioning whether spices were used - especially for a Thai restaurant. Our of everything I tried, I recommend the tuna tataki. We enjoyed it and would probably return if it was an around the corner spot but it wasn't necessarily memorable and tasty enough to make plans to return on our next visit to Charlotte.

Got an order of the pad thai to go since we were at the coffer bar/pub next door for a football game. The pad thai tasted very authentic and a generous portion. Minimal parking in the lot but you can park on the street.

Our first visit to Deejai Noodle Bar was a great experience. I loved the environment. It had comfortable seating and a casual feel. Our server was friendly and very accommodating. I was really impressed with the presentation of the food. All of the sushi dishes were plated to perfection and you could really tell how much time and focus was put into how the dishes looked and tasted. My boyfriend and I shared the cashew chicken and noodles plate. The flavor was fabulous but was just a tad bit on the spicy side for me. They offer a scale of spice which ranges from 0-5. I typically do fine with medium heat at most places, and with that being said, I'd probably stick with the 0-1 levels. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to trying some other dishes as well as a dessert (the Thai crepe sounds amazing) next time.

This place is 4-stars for a reason...SOOO unexpectedly good! Was looking for a quick spot to grab some noodles and I've always seen Deejai, so decided to give them a try. AMAZING!! Got to the restaurant around 12:30pm on a Saturday and I was the first patron. Service and staff was great! They are very in-sync with you and what you're looking for. Inside are plenty of tables and a bar area also. Ordered the Pad Woon Sen bowl and also the freebie edamame (best I've ever had)! Also came with a small egg roll, which was good too. Can't wait to come back and try more items...noodles, sushi, soups, etc.! They are located in NoDa on North Davidson. Parking lot is available in front and on the street. Definitely stop in and give them a try!!

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

We did make reservations for a Monday night, though it wasn't busy at all, so you could probably swing by on a whim should you want to during the week. The place was a bit elusive to find, as you have to look for the '3 dot sign' with a staff member guarding the door, which I'm sure is the intent! Once you enter, you walk down a long, candlelit hall, which sets the speakeasy mood right away. Upon entering, the classic speakeasy vibe hits you! Dim lighting, leather chairs, a beautiful bar stocked to the brim with whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and all the other good things you would expect to find in a place that prides itself on great cocktails. It certainly set the mood and got us ready to have an experience. The mixologists were welcoming and informative. I enjoyed my first drink, which was suggested based on my personal preferences in taste. It was a spin off a classic, and I really enjoyed it. Sort of like a cross of a penicillin and a whiskey sour. [The Never Ending Story]. My friend had the clarified punch since we had similar things we've loved in the past. It was slightly sweet, smooth, and easy to sip. We decided to just get some classics since the cocktail menu felt more like just off shots of other classics we love. They were both excluded well! But the thing that really blew us away was the food! I was really pleased with this portion of our evening! We had the crispy Brussels sprouts, and they were the best BSs I've ever had! I thought we'd take some home, but that did not happen! My friend got the Mushroom Casarecce. It was creamy and delicious! The beef carpaccio was also really nice.
