Keep in mind this is an airport plaza! The staff are typically pretty rude. The food is usually scarce on options. But when the on the off chance have the food it's really good. I'm writing this review in the hopes that someone who can save this location will see it. Since Chipotle started food poisoning people, I switched over to Qdoba as my regular go-to joint back in 2015 and haven't turned back. I've been to many locations in the U.S. and I seek them out everywhere I travel. I have a vested interest in wanting Qdoba to do well. It really is a great option for people that are gf (not sure about celiacs, though) and people with no dietary restrictions alike (hello free guac AND queso!!). That said, I hate to see any location poorly representing the company. The location was weird and not a single JFK employee could figure out where this was located. Not a big deal for the Qdoba fanatic like me, but I presume most others would have just given up and gone somewhere else. I finally found my way and felt pretty uncomfortable with the sanitary conditions, but I'm a germ freak so I figured I was overreacting. Upon paying, I saw the dreaded "B" on the wall. Most of the people I know aren't bothered by that, but having worked nearly a decade in food service, I know that you have to have some pretty scary knocks against you to get anything other than an A. I went to the health dept. site thinking it would give me peace of mind with small things here and there, but was disgusted to find out not only why they got a B this time, but the history of bad health reports at this location. Needless to say, all the free guac and queso in the world didn't make up for the meal I ended up throwing away. I hope the powers that be start to pay closer attention to these types of locations and implement better quality control and food handling training before it hurts their brand. read more

I love Qudoba Mexican. The first time I had it was in Bay Shore in Suffolk County. This was a little less that what I am used to first of all, they had no hard tacos, so I had to settle for soft corn. They had all the toppings I wanted and the price was reasonable. so I've been getting the food there for years and about two months ago the owner sold the business to the Chinese restaurant next to it. The quality of the food, the amount of food, the service has gone down since then. Everyone would go there because the owner made sure that everything was so clean, any also measure that he took care of his employees. You could tell the workers were happy to be there Today they are two Chinese women who are new workers who is one of them handling the cash register. I ordered my food like usual and it came half of portion of what he would've been under the previous management. When I complained, the Chinese woman told me that she could add a little bit of rice. But it was missing on all the ingredients not just the rice so I declined the order and told them that they lost my business. The quality, the quantity, and the service has gone down and is now terrible. They are pushing out the African American workers, and you can see on their face that they're not happy even though they say nothing .. just because you take over a business doesn't mean you're gonna be good at it, especially when you put profits over customer satisfaction. I already very seldom go to the Chinese restaurant because they do not use proper food handling techniques are used to go to qboda all the time because they do and they were proud of that. It's just not the same. I know a lot of customer feel the same way I do to give us half a portion instead of an overflowing bowl like it was before, and very bad service they will lose a lot of customer. One of the Chinese lady was taking my order. I told her to start. I wanted rice and something else and she turns around and go to the kitchen and tell them she needs more rice, even though she had more than enough to take care of my order and she did that several times she was simply rude. The previous owner made sure that his workers were happy because he knew that intern they would give us the clients great service.. he would insist on cleanliness and proper food handling technique, and he would make sure that the bowl was overflowing with food.. Definitely not the same. They have lost my business for that location as well as a Chinese food business as well as mine as well. Having had the Coxsackie virus a few years ago to me being able to get food from a place you can trust was everything. Obviously it's not like that anymore . For me half of portion trying to screw the clients , bad service, rude, pushing out the older workers to quit, and no proper food handling techniques.. .... No, thank you. DISRESPECTFUL Manager Jonathan Rivera refuses to serve my father, a black man because he was touching a glass partition. BUT there was a white man doing the same thing and he was served with a smile. My Dad was belittled, ridiculed and forced to leave without being served. Here is the story...Do not support this location!! I got a disturbing phone call from my Dad regarding his lunch experience at the Qdoba in JFK. He was completely mortified, confused and disappointed by the way he was treated by the manager, Jonathan Rivera. Rivera refused to serve my father after he'd been leaning on a glass partition. Instead of explaining the issue to my father, Rivera chose to belittle and ridicule my Dad in front his staff and other patrons. Even going as far to refuse to serve him! To top it off, there were other patrons leaning on the glass (as pictured below) and they were not addressed or treated in this disrespectful manner. Rivera's actions were a clear bias to my Dad, a first generation Guyanese immigrant. Jonathan Rivera IS SO PROUD OF HIS ACTIONS, HE SMILED FOR A PHOTO AFTER HUMILIATING my father. read more

This location is horrible. From the customer service, the cleanliness, and hours of operation. They fail in every category. They NEVER have everything prepared. NEVER. This last visit was the last time I'll give this location a chance. There aren't too many locations nearby so I guess I won't be eating here anymore. *are you really open 24 hours? *messy, unorganized, rude workers *they never have fajita vegetables. I like Qdoba but I heard this spot specifically was bad. I didn't believe them... I should of though. I got a basic order (Steak, Chicken, White Rice, Queso Blanco, Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, and Lettuce). It tasted worse then Chipotle on their bad day. The meat is usually seasoned amazingly every other spot this one specifically was lacklustered. If you want Qdoba just don't pick this one. They were also lazy with how they wrapped it no care what so ever. read more

This location is complete Basura. Went there yesterday with my family to make an order was told they no longer make nachos, I said fine and proceeded to make a bowl for them to tell me they also don't serve pork, I said fine and chose other proteins (steak and chicken) and they told me they no longer offer the option to make your entree a meal. I was told that making my entree a meal is a promotion they are no longer offering (despite it being on the board for $2.95) I was then told that I can still complete my meal by ordering the chips and drinks separately (and be charged double). A guy was in front of me and I watched her take out his food like he was a family member or something but when it came to females she mean grill you and is very disrespectful towards you. I went wanting anything but chicken since I eat it so much at home. So I went there wanting ground beef and steak burrito bowl. But they didn't have ground beef so I settled for steak and pork. Odd but it was yummy in my tummy. They are generous with the portion. It was enough for two servings. I also got chips and cheese sauce. Soooo good. QDOBA is waaayyy better than chipotle. Their cheese sauce is disgusting. The staff were friendly and joked with the customers. I did see one post about the violations. Next time I go back I'll check if it has changed since then. God I hope so because this place is nearby and I was so satisfied with my food but a B grade would definitely detour me from revisiting this establishment. read more

Love love loveeee this place. I come for the Mexican gumbo. Its like Heaven. I come here even when I'm off of work, just to get it. When i order it, i get rice, beans, pulled pork, tortila soup poured over it, corn, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, cheese. My sister and I always come to this location. We had the pleasure of encountering the worst employee. We always pay with our Qdoba app so we can collect points towards free meals. The woman (who was not wearing a nametag) told us we couldn't pay with our up. I looked at her really confused, because we are regular customers here. She told me " Don't look at me with that face!!" I tried explaining again that we should be able to pay with out app. She rolled her eyes and called her co-worker over. And I'll repeat what she said verbatim. "These people getting me tight!!" The gentleman came over and explained there was a new system and we could no longer pay with the app. (Still confused) We ended up paying for our meal on a credit card. Our recipet didn't have the employees name on it.. but dont worry.. I was sure to ask her what her name was. Angela. Angela was not only rude, but very unprofessional. She was wearing her AirPods... which I honestly dont think should be acceptable for someone who interacts with customers all day. I'm understanding person, I had jobs throughout high school and college working with customers. I know that not every customer is polite. But she had no reason to be rude to us. This restaurant is HORRIBLE! I don't know how they remain in business. They never have chicken steak or cheese available after 7pm. So I decided to go earlier during the day expecting a better experience, boy was I wrong. First off the chicken is priced at $8.35 plus tax I was charged $8.45 plus tax, Cool no biggie. I ordered a chicken burrito with white rice, black beans (because no pinto beans were available) cheese, corn, pico de gallo and guacamole. The rice and the beans were undercooked and Hard! The tortilla was also hard and wrapped twice over the burrito due to lack of enough ingredients. The chicken was bland and tasted like water. Once I arrived home I had to add hot sauce to the burrito in order to get it down and still could only get half way threw! The employees at this location do not wear name tags uniforms or hair nets! They treat it like a hang out talking amongst each other and fooling around, I wouldn't care about any of this if my food was actually edible.
