I've been driving past this restaurant for a while and decided to try them out, A bar/restaurant. A medium size place with counter top and booth tables to sit and dine or you can sit at the bar. They have several TV's playing different channels for everyone. We were seated immediately, it wasn't crowded but we came in between brunch and dinner so we had to wait until after 5 to order for dinner. Our waiter was Garnett, a very nice and attentive young man. Our order is in the pictures below. The food was really good, I will be returning to try other items on the menu. My one complaint is I have to pay $.75 for some gravy that was really greasy but I got over that after tasting the food . Had a good experience from the staff to the food. This was the perfect spot for a quick brunch. We got there around 12 and were able to be seated immediately. We opted for the bottomless brunch and it's truly bottomless, food and drink. You get 90mins bottomless mimosas and bottomless items from the brunch menu. We had two carafes of mimosas which aren't your typical oj and champagne, I think these mimosas have a oj and mango mix which tasted amazing! Endless mimosa's *Porridge *Jerk steak & egg w/ hash browns * Jerk steak & egg w/ rice n peas The porridge was delicious with a cinnamon kick. I think I missed the word Jerk in the steak and egg. This was spicy y'all. That's not a bad thing either, it's just a preference. * Shrimp and Grits this buttery dish was cooked to perfection. Many people that attempted this dis has it too think or with lumps. * Chicken and Waffles. I have never heard or tried dish until I moved to NYC. Yes, the food isn't cheap, but it is worth every dime because it is PHENOMENAL. kisses to the chef because whether its an in house order or a doordash/uber delivery the quality slaps every time, and the portions are large. Local spot with local vibe. I've been here many times for drinks but today I tried the food. I had the pepper shrimp, roasted potatoes and fried whiting. The potatoes were really delicious coated in a light salt seasoning and the pepper shrimp were good, not really spicy at all but still good. We also had the brown stewed snapper which was great but the rice was from the bottom of the pot so the staff quickly subbed for vegetables when we advised them of this. Came here on a calm Wednesday night last week and sat at the bar. I had two strong rum punches. Bartender was heavy handed with the Wray and I'm here for it.. "More rum"!! Apparently Sunday Brunch is their best kept secret! Of all the times I've been here solely thinking of this place as a late night wing spot with good drinks, DJ and a dance floor...come to find out on Sundays they have 90 mins of ALL YOU CAN EAT BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS for $50! We came to truth yesterday after a visit to a nearby haunted house. The vibe is very festive, it's open and airy inside with tables spaced out appropriately. The playlist was amazing. Our server was super friendly and made great recommendations. We started with a round of drinks my friend got the virgin Mojito and I got the Malibu sunrise. Both drinks were made very well, my drink was beautiful. We did wait a long time for food to come out but when it did, we were very very impressed. Jerk chicken was juicy, with enough sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes that my friend got on the side were absolutely delicious and banging. Fried plantains were crispy and hot although I do wish that the Tostones came with a garlic, dipping sauce of some kind. The rice and peas were delicious, but a little bit on the dry side. I could taste the coconut in the rice, which I think is such a great touch. My jerk style Branzino Fish was absolutely phenomenal. The spices on it were amazing and the skin was cooked to perfection. There were lemon wedges in the belly of the fish, which added moisture and much-needed acidity to cut through the spices. This dish was phenomenal and I'm very happy that I was recommended to order this. One of my friends did order a side of mac & cheese with our meal, and we were very disappointed with that. It tasted kind of spoiled and not good, and we could not eat it. The manager was super understanding about it though, and took it off of our bill and apologized profusely. Other than the small hiccup and long wait for food I think this is a really great place for a pleasant semi fancy meal with friends and family. This lounge is the truth literally! While visiting the area back home in Jamaica Queens, my friend suggested we go for dinner and to enjoy karaoke night. The one bartender who is also the server with only 3 tables full it took a while to get a soda and water. One of Our meals was given to another table and after 27 minutes they let us know. For $50 per person it's over priced and poor service. The bartender/server was nice and the food was good especially the corn porridge which is an appetizer that comes with the meal.
