I was one of them when I first visited this restaurant about a decade ago and did so during my recent session again. Though they may be one of the best options for traditional Chinese food in the area, comparing them to restaurants in Flushing would land them on the lower end of the spectrum. With that said, they do certain things relatively well, namely the dumplings. I prefer their pan fried dumplings over the boiled because of the skin texture. For some reason, the boiled ones felt a bit tough and chewy, while the pan fried dumplings were better, especially since it has a crispy crust on the bottom. Fillings I have tried are chive & pork, as well as cabbage & pork. Both were quite good and stuffed to the brim. I also do like their wontons with spicy sauce, which has a shrimp & pork filling. Also plump and juicy, these wontons are quite delicious. The sauce is not really all that spicy, but flavorful. As for other items I have tried, most were not bad but below average. That includes the Dan Dan Mein, Beijing Style Noodles, and the Sesame Pancake with Beef. One thing I would recommend to skip would be the Hot & Sour Soup, which was neither hot or sour. If you are in the neighborhood and craving some dumplings or wontons, then seek out this little shop. However, if you want any other types of Chinese food, I would advise you to skip. read more

I was seriously craving dumplings but didn't feel like trekking all the way to Long Island City, so finding Beijing Dumpling House right in Jamaica (and literally steps from the subway) felt like fate. After a quick walk, I stumbled in and was helped right away. I ordered the variety dumplings, which came with 2 veggie, 2 chicken, and 2 pork, and they were way bigger than I expected! Each one was perfectly steamed and full of flavor. I added the spicy garlic sauce on top (highly recommend), it gave everything that perfect little kick without overpowering the dumplings. I also got a veggie pancake, and wow. The bread was soft and lightly toasted, the vegetables were crisp and fresh, and the portion was huge. I ended up having leftovers for two and a half days, and they somehow tasted even better after a quick reheat in the air fryer. They've got a solid Boba selection too, I grabbed one to go, and it was the perfect sweet finish. I loved that you can actually watch them cook your food right after you order. Beijing Dumpling House was in my Yelp bookmarked for a long time. I finally had the opportunity to check-in patronizing this business and removal from my Yelp bookmark. In the passage of my professional travels of Queens County Clerk's Office lunch was imminent. I like the many food offerings listed on their menu. I would surely return for their dumpling noodle soup. There is bubble tea available, but limited toppings. Chinese cuisine is my default choice of food biased on my ethnic cultural background. Chopsticks are available at the cashier counter. Seating is abundant in the rear. There is one unisex facility available on the premise that is relatively clean. I can imagine this cafe can be very hustling busy during lunch peak hours drawing business adjacent from the Queens Civil Court to either get married, obtaining another certified copy of marriage license (the original marriage license went to oblivion), waiting to return listening to one's name to be called for jury duty, responding to the judge in Queens Housing Court, attorneys, clerks, NYS Court employees stride for lunch break scarfing down dumplings or slurping noodle soups, and New York State Court Officers stride Sutphin Boulevard with a high functioning air of arrogance. I do not see another Chinese eatery for Beijing Dumpling House to be in competition within this vicinity. Takeout menu is available for grabs. Pork chive dumplings, $6.50 I decided steamed dumplings as my default choice of cooking. Steamed dumplings reminisce of Dum Sum which is my predilection. I highly despised fried dumplings. Condiments are located on the table. I desired traditional light or dark soy sauce vinegar, but none were available as there is only hot chili sauce. There were eight (8) pieces of average size. The dumplings did eat my fill. With utter disdain, price is exorbitant, but expected as industry standard in year 2025 inflation era with no receding. I reviewed the menu hanging above the counter which contain many food options. After a long flight and a ride on the AirTrain to Jamaica, I was craving Chinese food and found a spot near the Q44. It turned out to be exactly what I needed. Food: 5/5 The food was a pleasant surprise. The dumplings, long bao, and sesame pancake were all shockingly fresh and flavorful. Every bite was a reminder of authentic, well-made Chinese cuisine. What really amazed me was the price--our total bill came to just over $60, which is a steal for such quality outside of Flushing or Chinatown. OK... so here I am for the second time, 9 years after my first review. Somehow I got confused when I saw my old review and thought I gave them 5 stars, but it was only 3 stars. Today, I can confirm my position of 3 stars. Took my family this time, and they agree. The fried dumplings are big and fat, which I like, but somehow the material that makes up the wrap tastes and feels cheap. And even if you're eating in (to stay at one of the 6 open tables in the back of the store), they serve it in one of those little paper baskets that you'd usually be served a side of fries in. It's ok, but a plate is nice because the dumplings would all sit in soy sauce instead of some being stacked over the others. Sorry I didn't take photos of the dumplings... we were starving. But check out my photo of the inside (two tables and the decorations on a wall). There's also a photo of the warm lo mein, which the family tells me it's very, very bland. In fact, my wife spat out her first bite saying it tasted uncooked (which is, of course, impossible). We'll take it home to see if we can improve it there, but as you see the photo, this is how we finished it in the restaurant. I probably won't come back unless I'm stuck in court across the street. Beijing Dumpling House is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but don't let that deter you. You order at the counter, grab a table, and they bring the food out to you. The prices are great for the amount of food you get--we accidentally ordered way too much! Among three of us, we had three orders of dumplings, chicken lo mein, vegetable and mushroom noodles, and a soup. In hindsight, one noodle dish along with dumplings would have been plenty. Service was quick, and the food came out hot and fresh--exactly what we needed for a last-minute dinner nearby. As for the food, the shrimp and vegetable dumplings were delicious, but I'd skip the pork dumplings--they had an odd hotdog-like taste and texture. Worst dumplings I've ever had, not only did it waste my entire lunch break but it was inedible and I ended up throwing away most of it. Filling was weird and congealed and seemed pre-frozen as it had these little hard bits in it. Hot chili oil has no flavor just straight heat, i'm surprised because it doesn't seem like they season anything here. I knew about Beijing Dumpling House for a while, but I am rarely in the area except on this occasion, like many others, for jury duty. Quick aside, I once thought I ordered from here a couple of years back but it was a similarly named but lesser quality spot in Forest Hills that goes by just "Beijing Dumpling". They are not the same. In this day and age of ordering delivery or eating in a sit down spot it is rare for me to actually order at a counter and wait for food. I was pleasantly surprised by the layout of this spot - directly over the counter was the kitchen buzzing with all the boiling, frying and preparing goodness -grabbing trays of prepared dumplings from the the fridge to fill orders. It was interesting to watch as I waited for my order. It was a relatively warm November day and having been stuck inside the court house all morning I decided to eat my Beef Sesame Pancake and Pan Fried Shrimp Dumplings outside in the sun. I enjoyed the pancake - it was pretty thick and fresh. It would have been nice to have more beef, but the marinated julienned carrot reminded me of a banh mi. The dumplings were pretty plump stuffed with shrimp and cabbage. Overall, for the cost and location, location, location I feel it is a worthwhile place to stop. This place makes the dumplings on site. They are very tasty and freshly made. You can also order them frozen if you want to make the at home. I've tried all the dumplings pan fried which is my fave way of them making it. I've also had the beef soup was was really good! The beef was sooooo tender. And I've also had the duck sandwich which was different way of me eating duck but it was good as well. They have a few tables to eat in and the customer service is pretty good. I ordered the Dan Dan Mein Noodles and honestly it was the best 10/10. The pan fried pork dumplings are seriously the juiciest and tastiest dumplings you will ever taste. Every time I'm near the area I stop by for those dumplings. The service is also 10/10 the lady working there is very nice and the son I guess is totally cute . They do have an area to seat and dine, but the sauce at the tables look old and dirty. One last thing, the sesame pancake is alright, has a weird smell but I'm guessing that's the yeast but it's a bit tasty 7/10 read more

My Yelper buddies pegged Beijing Dumplings as the jury duty lunch to try and they were absolutely right. Being across the street from the Queens Supreme and Civil courts gives them a unique leg up on the competition. There are jurors, lawyers & clerks here scarfing down big plate of dumplings and slurping up noodles. I wouldn't be surprised if a few judges come here also, albeit incognito without their robes. The dumplings are really tasty with good filling/wrapper ratio. You know they are handmade from all the trays in the refrigerator that they take out to make your order after you order. You can get them pan-fried, boiled or even frozen to take home with different fillings: pork & chive, pork & cabbage, chicken & basil, shrimp & vegetable. I prefer them pan-fried for the crunchy bottom, but if you like dipping them, boiled is the way to go to better absorb the sauce. I didn't care for the soy/vinegar dumpling sauce and the hot sauce is really watery and not very spicy. They refill the Sriracha bottles on the tables with both of those and you get little cups of them with your takeout order. I'd much rather take dumplings home and make my own dipping sauce concoction with a real Sriracha spicy kick. The stuffed Sesame Pancakes are a meal unto themselves. I just wish there was some Hoisin sauce to put on the Peking Duck pancake sandwich. The noodles on the other hand are not much to talk about. The Beijing Noodles with pork is flavorless, as well as the Dan Dan Noodles. The Beef Noodle Soup is OK, but I've had way better up in Flushing. The first thing I noticed about Beijing Dumpling House is the "open kitchen" design, which allows you to see the food prepared right in front of you. My "go to" order is hot & sour soup. It's a good way for me to compare different Chinese restaurants. At other Chinese restaurants, the hot & sour soup is spooned from a big vat somewhere in the back of the restaurant. However, at Beijing Dumpling House I noticed the staff was prepping the soup in a smaller pot. Little bit more of a wait, but it was worth it. The soup was very flavorful and they don't skimp on the chunks of tofu and mushrooms. They didn't include the crunchy fried noodles, but instead topped the soup with fresh cilantro, which is healthier anyway. I didn't have an opportunity to try their dumplings (the main thing they're known for), but I'm looking forward to coming back. I might even buy some of their frozen dumpling to bring back home for an easy dinner. read more

With no other competition in the immediate area, this place was packed. It's also right across the street from some courthouses. They serve a large number of differently flavored dumplings. Your choice of boiled or pan fried. I tried 5 different types. Each flavor was a different color. The best one was the boiled pork and chives dumplings. The rest of the dumpling's fillings were ground so fine that it was difficult to decipher what I was eating. So I've put them all into the 'meh' category. Dumpling breakdown: Skin is much too chewy and hard. I ended eating the filling only and rejecting the skin. There is a nice amount of filling in each one. I can usually eat dumplings without sauce, but these needed the dipping sauce to eat. There is the choice of soy sauce or hot sauce, both of which are packed for you in little containers. They also serve noodles, fried rice, sesame pancakes, soups and bubble teas. Decor: Nothing special. Your average divey dumpling store. There are several tables in the back for dining in. I always stop by the Beijing Dumpling House after a spirited evening at the bar. This appears to be a traditional homemade dumpling house with more variety than I can count. Pork and chive, chicken, hot and spicy , steam , pan fried however you want! They also serve noodle and classic dishes as well. My first and last time ordering from here. I ordered the honeydew bubble tea with chicken lo mein and sesame pancake with beef. They were over 50 mins late and when getting my bubble tea it was broken and left it in a container and i don't know if it was clean. The lo mein was half cooked and had to cook it. The sesame pancake was horrible. The guy can only say sorry with partial money back and had to order from another place. Very disappointed in this place read more

I had such a wonderful experience coming here. I placed an order on Seamless, and for some reason it sent my order to a different place. Immediately, the women behind the counter told me that they didn't have my order, but what did I get? They will make it for me. I tell them and they go ahead and make me spicy boiled veggie dumplings, a veggie sesame pancake, and a jasmine green tea. The whole time I was there they did nothing but go above and beyond to get me my food, they even went so far as to give me a discount on the order. I was so flustered at this point that I was just not thinking clearly and forgot to tell them no sugar on my Jasmine green tea, and they actually made me a brand new one. I feel so bad for being this off my game this afternoon, but these women were so kind and so gracious and so nice. The veggie dumplings with some added spice and cilantro are PHENOMENAL!!!!! OMG it's so hard to find amazing, amazing dumplings, and these are IT. There is so much flavor they're not kidding when they add spice to it either. It's flavorful and garlicky and spicy and so fresh and you can tell these were made by an experienced hand and by someone who loves making dumplings. The pancake was also very good in flavorful the vegetables inside are so fresh and the bread is soft and chewy. I consider myself somewhat of a jasmine tea connoisseur, I absolutely love the floral aspect of this green tea, but it's hard to find where they actually infuse it with so much Jasmine flavor. Wontontastic! This little standalone shop churns out some of the best tasting wontons I've had in a long time. These wontons don't lack in size and definitely pack in the flavor. If you think it still needs a kick, the hot sauce will definitely change your mind and warm your soul. I'm one of those that prefer them plain and like to dip them but having them beautifully dressed up by the chef is just as great. While I'm still partially to egg based noodles as my accompaniment to a great bowl of wontons, these chewy noodles they are just as tasty and worth a try. Definitely to my surprise that I feel the best wontons exist outside of the neighborhoods of NYC Chinatown, Flushing, and 8th Avenue in Brooklyn. A quick word about the shop owners who are definitely a step above fantastic. They are a standalone shop even though there is another shop in the area on Queens Blvd with the same name. The shrimp was pretty good. Only the boiled dumplings have the option to include cilantro garlic, which I didn't know. I did get it spicy though, which was just the right amount of kick and spiciness. The service was slightly slow, I was able to order quickly but the food took a bit. The shrimp dumplings with the works for a lack of better terms (garlic, hot chili oil, etc) is my go-to and always hit the spot. I have to go in one day to grab some frozen dumplings to take home. This is by the best dumpling place I've ever been to. There's a place by my house with a similar name that I went to thinking it was this place but no no! Very different!! I was looking for a new place to try my string beans and came across this place. I got 3 types of fried dumplings(chicken and basil, pork and cabbage and pork and chive) each was better than the next.
