We've eaten here many many times over the years and been very happy. Recently we stopped by and we're appalled by how dirty the entire place was. And when the door to the kitchen swung open we looked at each other in horror. This Qdoba is filthy, the food is probably bad and the cost is a shock. Overpriced doesn't even begin to cover it, two burritos and two pops for $20. I can get more food, better food, in a non-filthy restaurant anywhere else. Skip Qdoba. Go to Moe's across the street. That place is still overpriced, but damn it isn't a filthy pig sty. I have ate at this location for years, and it was semi-busy - I even made the comment to my daughter "Glad we have to wait, the food is fresher when they are busy" Well, this is probably my last visit, at least to this location. My daughter had steak nachos that were watery (from not taking the time to drain the beans) and her side of "guacamole" was basically a chunk of avocado. When we tried to get it replaced we were told, "Sorry, only one per order" I decided to try the new tacos! MISTAKE! These are the weakest excuse for a taco, and at $3.50 each way OVERPRICED. They had no real cheese, some some processed dried "cheese powder" on the top - NASTY! If I measured I think I'd be generous to say there was 2 Tablespoons of meat on both tacos combined. Finally, corn tortillas were stale! Avoid QDOBA at all costs, and I don't think it's just this location....as I ate at one in another city that wasn't much better! read more

When we walked in for lunch this week, they had a sign on the door noting: we aren't accepting coupons for the Grand Rapids locations. I (and I imagine mamy others) had gotten a bogo coupon in my email, and lookimg at the fine print it did list about a dozen cities in which it was valid, none of which was Kalamazoo. This is just bad business for a corporation to have you register as a patron of a Kalamazoo business then send you coupons only valid in a city that's an hour away, so I strutted up to the counter to tell them so. Fortunately they'd figured this out by that point (and had ascertained that their system would allow them to honor the coupons), and they took the sign down right after we lined up, but I imagine some earlier visitors had been pretty vexed (I also saw them bring a cash refund to a couple guests in the dining room who had tried to use the coupon earlier). Also, can we get an alternative protein up in here or at least a much lower price for the veggie burrito? If they're going to charge only 60 cents less for the veggie option they should have more veggies available. read more

This was an awful experience. Practically No tables were clean. The workers except the cashier were rude. The food was burnt, they skimped on ingredients, the portions were ridiculously small, the food was overpriced. They didn't give me the queso with my meal and gave me a hard time about asking for things with it. No soap, no paper towels and the place was Dirty. I've watched this place degrade over time but I think it's finally reached the point where I won't go back. Sad. I'm working things out with the manager now to try to remedy the situation. Excellent service! There was a slight wait on the new cauliflower mash (wasn't a problem at all), and Jay went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of with drinks while we waited. Really appreciated that. Didn't catch the name of the woman preparing our order but she was very kind and courteous! Great people 10/10 would recommend. read more

I've been to this location a lot and it's usually pretty good. I took the family this week to get lunch and it must have been a new person making the food. We all felt that she was very stingy with everything. I've never had a steak burrito with so much rice and so little meat and beans. I'm going to wait for a while before going back...usually worth what it costs to go there but not this trip. read more

I really like qdoba....with that said, if I see a worker with a mask off I turn right around. Everyone had masks on except for the first person that gets your tortilla/bowl/taco shell who had his mask hanging around one ear completely off his face. This is my second time this month going to get curbside from this Qdoba. It's clear they have no system for taking orders to customers in parking lot. After waiting for my food for 15 minutes after my pick up time and notifying the store I was there, I went inside to ask for my order. When I got inside, my order was sitting with pick up orders for customers to grab even though it was clearly labeled CURBSIDE. If you are going to offer curbside service, have a system for it. read more

To be frank, this place has horrible service, employees with attitudes, and is simply gross. The garbages were over flowing, there was food all over the ground, and the cooking station looked nasty. In fact, I wouldn't have ate here if I wasn't meeting other people, it was that gross. The employees had attitudes and the restaurant has horrible hygiene. This is not an overstatement in the least bit. Corporate needs to investigate and turn this nasty place around, seriously. I've enjoyed eating here for years. The food is good and the people who have taken my orders have been friendly. I was glad to see that there is a photo here on yelp of a member of management (I believe photo #2) who has been on the clock nearly every time I have eaten here. What a whip-cracker! It really has made me cringe to see/hear the way she's treated staff. The only other thing that I find rather awkward is the location of the make-your-own-soda machine. It's right by check out, which is right by the pathway to the restroom. Lots of customers are either new at using this machine or really indecisive. Either way, it results in traffic jams. I love qdoba but this location is bad. I wanted to eat in the restaurant once while running errands and half of the tables had people and the other half had garbage and food every where. They weren't even that busy. Two employees were texting behind the counter and the ones making food literally didn't care what they were doing. They were throwing scoops of whatever in every which way. Some of my hot salsa got on to the guys burrito next to me and when he asked if they could remake it because he cannot stomach that hot of stuff, the employee just rubbed it off with her dirty glove. I have never seen a restaurant so filthy. I stopped by around 5:46 PM and there was trash and food swept into a big pile (visible) in the kitchen floor, dirty dishes stacked all over the prep counter and very little food on the steam table. The employees were rude and disheveled, shouting at each other about messed up internet orders. Always out of something, often main items, like rice and beans. Service is very slow and inefficient. Went in on several occasions just to walk right back out when told they were out of rice or beans. Could probably eat Qdoba everyday and not get sick of it. Have never had an unfriendly staff member here, and never a bad meal. It's a little messy around the service/beverage counter at times, but it's also the busiest location, so I 1/2 expect it I guess. I think their chicken is so very flavorful!! Our experience tonight mirrors similar to two weeks ago. Utter train wreck. Appears internal staff conflicts. Poor communication among the team. Two A types barking and creating more delays. Live is literally out the door and moving slow. Staff who waited on us were abrupt, short and one argued I couldn't order what I requested. Train wreck. Needs new management. Stopped here with my mom for what we thought was going to be a quick lunch. We stood in line for 40 minutes. I repeat, FORTY MINUTES. There was only one person making food- painfully slowly. All the other employees-including the manager-were standing around while there was a line out the door. One employee asked a woman ahead of us if she had been helped yet. She replied, "no." The employee walked away from her and disappeared. At the end of the line, we told the manager how long we waited in line and he gave us a half-assed apology. I've worked as a sales associate and worked fast food for years so I definitely have the authority to say this was the worst food service I've ever experienced or been witness to. read more

This place is disgusting. I used to really like this place but it has gone down hill. The staff was horrible, the girl who started to make my food whipped her hands on her apron that was very dirty. Then the line was a complete disaster. So messy. They dragged my food through the droppings of prior customers food orders. Then i observed an employee come from the back and scratch his face go up to the line and grab food off the line and shove it in his mouth. he then finished chewing with his back to the customers. He then turned around and started making food for customers. At no time during this did he wash his hands. That is when I turned around and walked out. Qdoba always hits the spot for me it fresh and quick. The queso is my favorite item I put it on burritos and with chips.
