The dinner prices are ridiculously expensive for a buffet. The regular buffet is not hot enough for holding temps that is be concerned with possible issues. The Mongolian grill part is decent but not as good as the grill at the Marion mall. Long story short: expensive and not that good with a concern of improper holding temps. New to Carbondale and looove Chinese food, heard this place was pretty good, so disappointing! I gave it 2 stars because it's pretty clean and had a great variety. But a great variety means nothing when the food is all cold. It was gross. The place was pretty busy when my family and I went and it was still cold. I honestly don't think the buffet food was properly heated. But quite honestly the food wouldn't have been a whole lot better if it was heated to how it was supposed to be. The fortune cookies were even pretty gross. Won't ever go back here, I'll just keep hunting for good priced, great tasting Chinese food around the area. read more

I am reviewing mainly on the hibachi grill as that's why I come here. Lots to choose from and VERY good. The guys at the grill have always been friendly and helpful. The sushi bar is really good too. It has around ten different things to choose from and they have all been tasty. The buffet is slightly above average but as I said I come here for the grill. Decent Chinese buffet in an area where that's really hard to get. Dishes don't rotate really at all, so it's basically the same stuff all the time. But they keep up with the food, so it's generally got and fresh. The stir fries are good, and the sushi is, surprisingly enough, edible. read more

The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Much, much nicer than the restaurant that used to occupy that space. I think, for a buffet with a Mongolian BBQ, the prices aren't bad. Besides my best friend living in the area, Qin Guan Buffet is the biggest reason we are moving down here. Some better Chinese food and I HATE buffets but will go to this one. We like getting here when they first open in the afternoon. While the food is good, and location generally clean, I'm giving 3 stars for one reason - it was freezing in there! My husband and I have eaten here twice within the last year. Once for Valentines day and once to celebrate a birthday - both for dinner. In November of this year it was just as cold inside the restaurant as in February. I was uncomfortable due to the temperature inside the restaurant and purposely sat somewhere where I thought it would be warmer. I wore a long sleeve t shirt, short sleeve t on top of that, and had my heavy fleece fall jacket zipped all the way up to my chin and was still quite cold and uncomfortable. On Valentines day I thought it was just cold in February due to the brutal weather we were having and me wearing stylish, yet thin clothing for the special occasion. The November trip confirmed it's just really cold in there. My recommendation is to bring a winter coat (not joking) and enjoy the buffet that way. The Sushi is the best! read more

We went to this place an hour before its closing time. We did not know that they do not replace food in the trays when it gets over at this time and due to this they charge $2 less than the original price. This was disappointing as many trays had dried up food or were empty by the time we got to eat. When we asked them for food, one of the persons unapologetically says "It won't come". What was worst about this place was that there was construction level noise coming from the kitchen and we sat right next to it. I saw that other customers were irritated about it. AND, they did not even wait till closing time to wrap up the place. They started THROWING the steel trays LOUDLY into bins while we were eating. My friend did not finish her meal and we left. I know this is not a high class restaurant, but you could still be compassionate towards customers trying to enjoy a meal. I am never going here again, only because how they think they can get off with treating customers this way. read more
