Micro Express builds each computer to order and they test it before they ship it. Most of my computers last 6-8 years, but I enjoy PC gaming, so I upgraded "early" this time (after 5 years). There are several reasons I like buying from Micro Express: 1. No bloatware! 2. They take payment over the phone to mitigate fraud. I like that! 3. Casey is a friendly professional I enjoy doing business with 4. Every computer I've bought from them is solid! It'll take a week or so for them to build, test, and ship the computer, but it's worth the wait, knowing I'll get a quality machine I can move into right away. And when I consider they aren't noticeably more expensive than comparable computers from "name brand" companies, I figure I'm getting a great value too.

It was a nightmare having to head over to an Apple Store and wait through a long line. They gave me an estimate of $700 in repairs and then even forget to send me a copy of the estimate. Working with Alex was a breeze, who kept clear communication with me every step of the way. The repair price was nearly a third of what Apple was asking from me, plus a discount for non-profit organizations! Eventually, we ran into complications. The shipment of one of the parts came in late, but Alex offered a generous discount for the tardiness, despite the fact that the shipment was beyond his own control. Later, we discovered that the battery replacement we received was not what we were expecting. It was difficult to get the correct battery for such a new model. Fix My PC - Fast, Honest, and So Worth It!…read more So I had this computer I really loved, but one day I accidentally spilled hot chocolate near it... and it got inside the computer. I tried to clean it up, but I guess I didn't do a great job, because after that, things slowly started going downhill. The screen would randomly go black, it lagged like crazy, and some of my games just wouldn't run right. After dealing with that for almost a year, I finally decided to have it looked at. I had taken it to another shop once before for a different issue, but they kept my PC for over a week and honestly, I don't think they diagnosed it properly--because the hot chocolate mess was never addressed, and the problems continued. This time, I found Fix My PC, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman there was super kind and clearly knew what he was doing. The shop is small, but don't let that fool you--he's sharp. After a proper diagnosis, he found the issue: the video card had been damaged from the spill. He cleaned it out thoroughly and replaced the card--and had it all done in just 3 days! However, I felt that more emphasis was placed on the advantages of Linux Mint than on understanding my actual needs and intended use. The following day, I spoke with the owner and told him that I intended to purchase the computer. During that conversation, I was informed for the first time that the screen had a yellow tint. Because of that, I said that I wanted to see the computer in person before making a final decision. However, when I arrived at the store, my data had already been transferred to the computer. Since I do not have a technical background, I felt uncomfortable deciding not to purchase a computer that already contained my personal data, so I went ahead with the purchase. After I started using the computer, I experienced several issues: * Frequent internet connection problems * A keyboard that did not function properly * Excessive heat from the computer (it became noticeably hot within about 10 minutes of startup, even when no applications were being used) When I reported the overheating issue, I was told that it was normal for the computer to get hot. However, no matter how many times I tried to recover it, it didn't work. I reluctantly attempted to use the recovery USB I had downloaded earlier, but it still didn't succeed. Finally, on the second attempt, I was able to recover it. During the device check, it was revealed that there was a problem with the hard disk, and even if I managed to recover it, there was a possibility it would fail again soon. So, I Googled and searched for a Japanese computer technician. Eventually, I found Tony. After speaking with him on the phone, I felt he was very honest & friendly, and I decided to ask for his help. Throughout the process, he was very thorough, and he even pointed out common mistakes that a novice might make, such as unnecessary software and tasks that weren't needed. Since I had an 8-year-old computer and only wanted to use it for a few more years, I requested minimal work (he also recommended this way.) However, he did a fantastic job; he even cleaned my computer. He changed the HDD in my desktop and since he opened up my desktop cover, he also cleaned all other inside parts after he changed the Drive. When I picked it up, both the exterior and interior were very clean, and the desktop was running smoothly.
