As someone whose main social outlet is online, when my computer started having problems turning on, I panicked. After searching online for repair places near me I decided on White Flag Computing based on several positive reviews. After a quick call he set up a time for me to drop it off and gave me a very fair price to diagnose the problem. Within a couple hours I was given an explanation on the issue, a broken CPU fan causing the system to force power off. He assured me he could fix the computer by replacing the faulty part, which he did quickly with a part he had in stock! After getting the power issue sorted he ran into some corrupted files causing problems with booting up, which again he took care of and got the machine running again. As an added bonus he helped me install extra RAM I had bought before my computer problems started. It's not "if" your hard drive will fail, it's "when". After my laptop wouldn't boot up, I took it to Paul at White Flag. He was able to remove my hard drive, get all the data from it (my latest backup was 4 months old), replace the hard drive and load a full image on it so I didn't have to reload anything, and did a general cleanup and operation check.
