I went two more times, the second and to eat in and I ordered sushi while my family ordered Chinese. The dining room was big so it could fit a lot of people. Our sever was friendly and was efficient. We were seated quickly and she took our orders quickly. The sushi was good too. If you order soda, it's not from fountain. It's in a can, so no free refills. The sushi is very good and reasonably priced. However, I can't say the same for other dishes. I wish there was more of a "family style" portion size to the dishes like the noodles, seafood, soups, etc. Most Asian restaurants have a "family style" menu with big portion sizes (ie: Penang in East Hanover is quite good, my family are regulars there). The portion sizes are really to serve 2-3 people. They should have a larger portion size for larger groups like 5+ Women's bathroom smells like a sewer line exploded inside. I almost got sick going in there, I had to leave and use the bathroom at Mango Mango next door. It was so gross. The staff is a bit on a aloof and a bit on the rude side. Very inattentive for a large party ordering more than 15 dishes..and we were the only people in the restaurant. I like QQ Asian. There's easy parking since it's located in Livingston Town Center. I've both dined in and ordered takeout from here, and I haven't had any issues. The food has always been good. For takeout, they really pack your order well so there are no spills or damage. My husband's repeat orders from QQ Asian are the eggplant in garlic sauce, vegetable fried rice, and green beans. For an AAPI potluck at work, I brought in food from QQ Asian. I received a few compliments on their lo mein. I brought in a vegetable lo mein and a shrimp lo mein. read more

During my visit, I experience good customer service; employees are helpful navigating me toward Vegan ingredients and kind all throughout. The Crunchy Noodles are tasty especially with the Duck Sauce: I like them as a snack before the main meal. The General Tso's Tofu is really filling and tasty. The vegetables complement the meal well more so as garnish and fiber. I like the brown rice with the sauce. Each portion of the meal tastes good on its own as well as together. QQ Asian recently came out with a Chinese menu that covers a variety of Chinese cuisines from Szechuan as to Northern. Braised pork, Braised Lions Head, Fried Pork chops, and Northern Chinese Potato Noodles were authentic! The Lions Head meatball portion size was probably more generous than any other I've ordered. The crust on the pork chop breading was perfect -- pork not too salty with just enough of the sweet-glaze sauce. The food took a little longer ~20 minutes to come out even though only 5-6 tables were seated. For the options nearby though, it's definitely still worth checking out the new dishes. read more

Actually it's not really secret, they recently hired a new chef that does Szechuan and Northeastern Chinese cuisine, and haven't had a chance to officially update their menu. Szechuan is pretty prevalent in NJ these days, but NE Chinese cuisine is still a rarity, so we ordered from their NE Chinese menu. The food was pretty good. Conclusion: this place is slow, never order takeout if you have a time constraint. Got different food this time. The hot and spicy beef wasn't very spicy and the sauce is cloyingly American sweet. The sha cha chicken had almost no spice despite the chili pepper on the menu and was also sweet and thick. The food is good. This is a close spot to our house but every single time we order takeout there is an issue. The last time we came they made our order completely wrong and we had to sit and wait for them to remake the entire thing and they were unapologetic. We gave it another try and they said it would be ready in 40 minutes. We show up 50 minutes after we place the order and it isn't even ready yet. We had to sit and wait for a long time. This was my first time eating here. I had the lunch special General Tso' chicken. The portion was very good for a lunch special. Plus The ere was a soup on the side. I was really happy about that I really like that a lot most places give you less for the same price. The General Tso' chicken was really good nicely flavored and the chicken was tender. They didn't over cook it like other places do. I would definitely order this again. The only thing that was off was the soup. I got the wonton soup and it tasted like they just cleaned the on and left some of the residue of the soup in the pan them made the soup. We always enjoy going here for lunch and dinner! Their sushi is great and it is always served and plated so nicely. You can't go wrong with the sushi, but I also really enjoyed the hibachi food here. It is always cooked a really well and served with hibachi fried rice, shrimp, vegetables, salad, and a soup- definitely a full meal! If I could give it no stars, I would. Both our appetizers were made. I don't know when then microwaved. Pad Thai, usually a safe dish was precooked noodles in a gloppy sweet sour sauce. Once again another below mediocre Chinese (and I use that term only because the restaurant uses it) Sushi restaurant opens in the same location. When I walked in there was a large Chinese group of people so I had high expectations... silly me Apps: spring Rolls-all wrapper, very little filling, fried well. Veggie dumplings: tasteless I ordered Gen Tso's Chicken, a friend ordered sesame chicken-it was the same exact sauce and meal. The Gen. tso's chicken had no spice, no flavor other then sweet sauce! No heat. When I asked for chili crisp or chili oil I was given a bowl of freshly poured oil over chili flakes. Everyone else in the party basically said the same thing. The food is devoid of flavor and any form of authenticity except for being bad gloppy, sweet American ....fried stuff. Soups were also lacking flavor, so much so,we had to add salt, and that didn't help. The previous restaurant had a Chinese and an American menu. We used to go there before COVID and before the owner changed, it used to be very decent food with a nice touch of sichuan on the Chinese part of the menu. We went again last week for the first time in 3 years, and it had nothing to do with what we knew before. The food is overly sweet and salty, and lacks taste. I took the sichuan beef, it was not sichuan at all, just some beef soaked in sweet and salty sushi sauce. My wife had the shrimps, it was not any better .
