This is my favorite Chinese spot. It is just take out, there are no tables to eat inside. The lady at the counter was nice and patient with our large and specific order. There is an item in the menu that is Bill and Harry's chicken, but as I am vegetarian, I ask for it with tofu instead and they honor my request with no problem. Their sauce has a little spice to it, is very flavorful and just so good! All the food tasted super delicious, not very greasy considering it is Chinese. Grandma loved that they didn't put the sauce on her sweet and sour chicken, so by the time we got home, it didn't get soggy! The rice and all the noodles were flavorful. The food here is very good. It's my go to Chinese restaurant as my husband will either pick up or we'll get it delivered. It's convenient as they're off of 280 and on the way home for him and the food is really well done. The only time it takes awhile to get ready is during those rush hour times where everyone is bombarding them. I understand why, they're awesome! read more

Rock solid Chinese food - everything on par with NYC's Grand Sichuan. Occasionally a little difficult to order something customized or with a substitution over the phone, owing to an order system that doesn't really allow it. The young man who usually answers the phone informed me that I couldn't just order roast pork, but that I could order roast pork with Chinese vegetables, hold the vegetables. I got then and have since gotten other things that I wanted that weren't verbatim off the menu, but it got easier once I realized that any custom part of an order order would typically be read back to me in different words or with different phrasing than I used, though however it's read back usually winds up being equivalent. I wouldn't really call that a complaint, just something to be aware of. And the food is *great*. So I'll keep coming back. read more

New Bill and Harry has been our family's go-to Chinese take-out restaurant since it was just "Bill and Harry". They added the "New" to Bill and Harry quite a few years ago, but it still remained our favorite. It was always consistently good, and the staff was always seemed to take pride in their little restaurant, but that all seems to have changed. I don't know if the ownership has changed, but the food quality has gone downhill and there are other more troubling issues. Tonight was a small order, just moo shu pork and an eggroll. Moo shu pork is a dish that's probably on every Chinese take-out menu in the country, yet so many places can't get it right. Happily, Billy and Harry always did. It was great, even without the pancakes or the hoisin sauce. Not anymore. Tonight, my father said he thought it tasted like "they made the pork yesterday". I also thought the pork tasted that way, but the whole dish seemed tasteless and watery to me. Nothing like it used to taste. In addition, the portion size was quite small. It may seem odd to complain about the portion size of something you didn't like, but I was used to take-out containers from Bill and Harry that were filled, and a portion that two people could eat. Now it seems like they're intentionally downsizing. I appreciate that restaurants are struggling, and prices need to increase, but don't raise the prices and decrease the portion size, and expect me not to notice. More importantly than all of that, is the fact that they're starting to take advantage of customers with extra charges they place on your credit card without telling you. Tonight, as I mentioned, we ordered moo shu pork and an eggroll. I asked for hot mustard; a normal condiment that is complimentary at every Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. I've never been charged for it in my entire life, nor would I expect to be, but tonight I was. Now, if they want to charge for mustard that's up to them. They can charge for a packet of salt if they want. My problem is that they never mentioned it. If they had, I would have said no. I have hot mustard at home. I only discovered the charge when I looked at my receipt, after they charged my credit card. So you're probably saying "How much did they charge you?" It was $1.00, and I agree that's not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, but it's a pet peeve of mine; restaurants sneaking in extra charges without mentioning them and hoping you won't notice. It's become almost epidemic, so when it happens I say something. I know some people will think that this is an oversized reaction to a small charge, but all those small charges add up. In any event, that plus the food issues are enough to put me off New Bill and Harry for a good long while. read more

But this place didn't even need to grow on me, my first order was made perfectly. I ordered the Shrimp & Broccoli in garlic sauce, shrimp fried rice and fried chicken wings. I think I've finally found it....GOOD Chinese food in this area!!! The food is fresh and delicious. They don't skimp on portions and prices are good. My sweet & sour chicken was huge chucks of perfectly fried chicken. Still juicy- not dried out. Scallion pancakes were delicious and those fun crunchy bits places generally send are homemade and edible (as opposed to the gross prepackaged ones you find else where. Sad we didn't find this spot sooner. It's just down the road though and we will be back!!! read more

We ordered take out at 5pm. The door dash delivery estimate was 20-40 min. After FOUR door dash drivers were assigned, waited (one waited 80 min), and left, we canceled the order at 8pm. That's 3 hours after ordering. No one answered the phone here. They lied to several door dash drivers on wait times. We had to send our door dash driver a tip via Zelle after she waited for 80 min and our food still wasn't ready. We told her to leave! Really bad Chinese food. I am not sure how so many people rate this food good. We ordered from them as dinner for my wife, her brother and me. All three of us work in the city. The food was super oily and bad tasting. We ended up throwing away most of it. Don't understand how one can screw up hot and sour soup or vegetable fried rice. Bill & Harry's recently become my preferred place for tasty and "reasonably healthy" Chinese take out cuisine, our last two visits were definitely a disappointment. First things, first! How does a place that essentially promotes itself as healthy Asian cuisine ... consistently run out of brown rice??? Last night was the second consecutive time that they said "we just ran out of brown rice"... before 8:00 PM on a Wednesday evening? Are you kidding? When I politely cross examined the counter guy, he said they indeed had just run out, and that not too many people ask for brown rice, so they frequently are stuck with it at the end of the night. That is about the lamest excuse that I have ever heard for a busy Chinese takeout joint! The dishes were just "okay." We ordered a 1/2 Peking Duck for the first time (menu sez you don't need to order in advance). Well, it was dry, and uninspiring. The scallops and mixed veggies was decidedly bland, and a little slimy. And the Orange Beef was too heavily breaded, also tough and chewy, with too little spice, or sauce, for that matter. Unfortunately (with apologies to Joni Mitchell) ... last night was not "another Pleasant Valley Wednesday." Guess I'll look for another place to get my Singapore Mei Fun fix. read more

Stopped by my cousins house for a drink that eventually turned into a classic "Chinese FOOD Run". My cousin was singing the praises of this Clean and Delicious place and HONEY I guess we are a choir now because I am singing the same tune lol I ordered the General Tso's Shrimp and they were VERY good. They were Large in size, A little crisp, and had a semi Hot and sweet sauce ( a little on the sweeter side). It was about $16 dollars for them but we'll worth it. I also got the shrimp toast for myself . Those were good . They actually had a real shrimp inside not just that mushy stuff that you usually get. The vegetable lo mein was perfect not a lot of oil. I didn't eat the chicken wings but everyone else loved them and they didn't look greasy at all. The place is in the cut a little so it may be hard to find but drive slow and get in there. You stop feeling Chinese food after all the subpar takeout experiences. But my friend kept comparing Bill and Harry's to gourmet takeout so I caved and gave them a try. She was so right! Its not a huge menu, and some dishes are a lil pricier but its def worth it cuz it tastes way cleaner than your average Chinese spot. I've tried the veggie roll, vegetable dumplings, potato pancakes, all delish, not overly fried/greasy and they don't even need any extra sauce. The fried steak is amazingly tender, not dry or veiny. The general tso is the perfect amount of meaty, not too bready. Their seafood platter is the right amount of seafood and vegetables, you're def not getting played. Their vegetable fried rice is pretty decent too, not too moist or dry. So a friend and I were looking for something to eat in walking distance of the high school; we were here for a color guard competition and got hungry... we walked up to an Asian restaurant and it looked worth a try... there was a gentleman ordering food we asked him if there were any other Asian restaurants in the area because we felt as though that the prices were a bit expensive he said this is the best in town so we decided to stay and see what it was worth. We ordered the fried dumpling and general tso chicken and dumplings. So the tso's chicken was made with white meat and was pretty dry, there wasn't any crispiness to chicken it was actually soggy... and was on the extremely sweet side I mean super sweet. We wanted pork fried rice with it, however pork fried rice was not offered with it only for an extra up charge of $7.70 there were only larges available quite disappointing. My dumpling were all dumpling no pork. I probably won't ever eat here again because I probably won't be in the area however if I was in the area I still want to eat here again.
