Came here for lunch to try dumps and some place new besides AJ Bistro. We ordered a lot of different dumps, noodles sour and a plate of veggies. Overall, it's a decent and authentic spot. Would definitely come here when I am around the area.

World Class Noodle House!! Everything I've ordered from Hui Tou Xiang so far has been beyond my expectations and I'm totally looking forward to trying alot more. You know it's an excellent place when you find yourself studying the menu and anticipating the next visit and what you'll be ordering. This brand new spot marks the third location for this restaurant with the other two being in Los Angeles and San Gabriel California.   The Dining Room is clean, spacious, and bright with modern design furniture which offers comfortable seating and even includes a relaxing water fountain. Open Kitchen design allows for viewing while your food is being expertly prepared. For me this just adds a little bit to the anticipation factor Lol.    Their Takeout service couldn't be any easier plus the staff here is always friendly fast and efficient. Try any of their Ramen Dishes, Chef's Specials, and Bentos, but whatever you do, don't forget about their incredibly delicious Dumplings, Wow!! Come And Get Your Munch On!!

We brought the kids to try this new place that just had its grand opening 2 weeks ago, and let me tell you - it didn't disappoint. We are so glad to add this to our weekly rotation! This place is authentic and has a wide variety of offerings at affordable prices. We took the recommendation of our very friendly server and tried the beef hui tou, which he said is a local delicacy to the cuisine this restaurant caters to- we really enjoyed it and want to try the pork version next time! Other notable mentions include the cold tofu skin appetizer, fried chicken app, and the braised pork with rice (lu rou fan). We also tried the beef noodle soup; while the braised beef was really flavorful and tender, the broth was a tad salty. Besides that, this was a fantastic meal and dining experience. Don't just take my word for it - both kids devoured their food. We also enjoyed the strawberry and mango smoothies. The staff was so friendly. Especially on a slower week day, they came over to interact many times with our kids and were so understanding of them running around while finishing their food. This location is really spacious and has ample parking. We can't wait to come back!

Spicy pork wontons were out of this world and amazing! Unfortunately soup dumplings were somewhat overcooked and we mentioned this. Willing to try again. Cucumber salad was delicious and so were steamed vegetables. We will be back to try other dishes.

Food was okay. It's way too expensive for the type of food. Service wasn't great either. No offering of even water!

We also tried the tomato beef noodles and braised pork belly rice -- both tasty and very filling. Nothing fancy for dining in, but the food is solid and portions are generous. Didn't get a chance to try it out until yesterday and man, we were missing out. The yunnan rice noodle soups are so good, and different, from the more commonly found Asian noodles; ramen, udon, pho, etc. Not going to say that it's better than the others but it's absolutely fantastic that there's another option now when you just want a warm, comforting noodle soup. Especially since winter is coming. The setup is more akin to a food court than a restaurant so the small seating area is shared with Kam Man and all the tableware/utensils are plastic and disposable. There's a door to the outside basically right there though so unless you're seated to either side of it you get blasted w/cold air every time someone enters or exits. For my first visit I went with their "pickled pepper soup rice noodle w/beef stew" (A8) and it was very good. The soup was flavorful and the noodles were perfect; fresh & not mushy at all. And digging through the bowl was like going on a treasure hunt for lil' yummy morsels: a quail egg here, some wood ear there, a random piece of thinly sliced ham, good stuff. However, for those of you w/nut allergies, they do add roasted peanuts to some of their dishes so you'll probably want to tell them to not add them to your food. The only minor neg with the dish was that the beef brisket was a tad tougher than I'd like. But if brisket isn't your thing, they also have the same dish but with "beef roll" (A7) which I found to be an odd translation for basically thinly sliced beef. I was so enamored w/this noodle soup that I brought my wife the very next day. I went with the same soup base but w/fish fillet (A9) this time and it was just as good as the first time. I will definitely have to come more often to try out their other offerings. I also noticed that they have rice based dishes as well in case you get tired of noodles. So anyway, I'll definitely be visiting a lot more and I really hope they stick around longer than the previous eateries at this location. And while it would be nice (if not really feasible) to get your food in 10 seconds as their name implies, so far their food has definitely been worth the wait.

The service was a bit slower than what I was used to compared to other classic chinese restaurants. My mom wasn't feeling spicy food so we got more a couple non spicy/mild options when we went - so didn't get to try some of their more notable dishes. The mongolian beef and the spicy crispy short ribs were my faves from this visit. Can't wait to try other things on their menu next time! Restaurant was about 1/3 full. You don't come here for the ambiance, you come for the consistently good Chinese food. Really the only decent Chinese food within a 20 minute drive of South Orange. This time went with the hot and sour soup (always delicious), scallion pancakes, spicy smashed cucumbers, wontons in chili oil, Mongolian beef, and string beans in garlic sauce. About $94 (not including tip) for all of it. We ate about half and will be able to have a full second dinner with the leftovers. Can't recommend this spot enough.

It died down a little bit after 730 but still it gets quite good business. The chips you get when you sit down were a little stale. I don't really eat that stuff anyway. On the bright side, the sweet and sour sauce it came with was very good and the wasabi mustard had a huge kick. The soup dumplings were legit. As good as you will find in Edison. $12.25 for 6. A little bit pricier than Edison but you pay for the fact that you can have it in this area. The filet mignon with spicy pepper sauce was pretty good. Portion size is in the middle. Not too generous nor skimpy. It wasn't spicy. It came with delicious mushrooms and baby bok choy. The black pepper sauce was delicious. Similarly the pepper steak with onions was also mid on portion size and amount of meat they give you. It came with delicious chopped peppers and onions as well. Good flavor. Both of these steak dishes came with a complimentary bowl of rice. The pot of tea was also complimentary. It was pretty good tea. The service was great. Very friendly staff and they changed our plates after the soup dumpling appetizer. Sprite was only $2 and a bottle of san pelligrino $3. Good place with a strong loyal customer base.
