Not sure why the restaurant was dead quiet during lunch time. There was only one other table when I arrived, one person picking up an order, and a couple walked in when I was leaving. The food was not bad at all. I ordered an order of scallion pancakes, and pork and cabbage dumplings. They were both very tasty. Service was friendly when I was able to catch the attention of the one and only one guy. I guess because he was the only one working the floor was not very clean. A clean but empty shop later at night after I picked up some gas from Costco. They have a lot of dumplings, including bags of them you can take home frozen and uncooked. I didn't have time to do more than grab a menu, but I did get a bubble tea to go which was $7 and rather small.. didn't quite taste as expected, though, so I ended up not finishing it. Guess I still like Coco better. Staff is friendly and works quickly, they were mostly cleaning when I came in. Will be back here to try the dumplings and the noodles. read more

You know it's an excellent place when you find yourself studying the menu and anticipating the next visit and what you'll be ordering. This brand new spot marks the third location for this restaurant with the other two being in Los Angeles and San Gabriel California.   The Dining Room is clean, spacious, and bright with modern design furniture which offers comfortable seating and even includes a relaxing water fountain. Open Kitchen design allows for viewing while your food is being expertly prepared. For me this just adds a little bit to the anticipation factor Lol.    Their Takeout service couldn't be any easier plus the staff here is always friendly fast and efficient. We brought the kids to try this new place that just had its grand opening 2 weeks ago, and let me tell you - it didn't disappoint. We are so glad to add this to our weekly rotation! This place is authentic and has a wide variety of offerings at affordable prices. We took the recommendation of our very friendly server and tried the beef hui tou, which he said is a local delicacy to the cuisine this restaurant caters to- we really enjoyed it and want to try the pork version next time! Other notable mentions include the cold tofu skin appetizer, fried chicken app, and the braised pork with rice (lu rou fan). We also tried the beef noodle soup; while the braised beef was really flavorful and tender, the broth was a tad salty. Besides that, this was a fantastic meal and dining experience. Don't just take my word for it - both kids devoured their food. We also enjoyed the strawberry and mango smoothies. The staff was so friendly. Especially on a slower week day, they came over to interact many times with our kids and were so understanding of them running around while finishing their food. Dined here today, June 28, 2025. Had the beef noodle soup (which came with the wider hand pulled noodles), sampled the wonton (which was ordered with thin noodles in a broth) and the cucumber salad. Really enjoyed the beef noodle soup broth. The cucumber salad had some sesame oil and was very refreshing. It was nice of them to "customize" the wontons as they normally don't come in a broth or with noodles. However, didn't find the soup to be what usually accompanies wontons. The food IS pricey for what you get. It strikes me as odd when Asian restaurants don't serve hot tea and when they charge for tea...It was nice they served glasses that were frosted (in case you brought a drink that needed to be chilled? or really cold water). I would recommend the pan fried pork buns, the wontons (regular or with chili sauce), and the hui tou dumpling (their specialty, I got the beef one but it also comes in pork). It may depend on what you like, not our favorite. I think it is an ok place, but I know that spot in the mall is kind of doomed as there are no anchor stores around. Places like this need to be protected! I did not grow up eating these dishes, but I can tell they taste fresh and "homemade". Food was sooo good and cooked well. Highly recommend getting the cucumber salad with your dishes - it was a nice cold and crunchy bite that was a good palate cleanser in between dishes. They also have kimchi! I didn't see it on the menu, but they have it. It's the good, sour, well fermented kind. I really enjoyed all of the dishes, especially the fried pork buns and the scallion pancakes. I am writing this review a few hours after eating and I can report that I don't feel bloated. Sometimes after eating food with a lot of oil I feel gross or bloated, but this food tasted very clean - and my belly agrees. Parking is ample in the front. Temperature inside on a very hot day was comfortable. Only cons: egg rolls were a bit bland and there were a lot of flies around us. It still doesn't change my 5 star review. read more

One word, delicious. Was visiting the east coast and stubbled across this gem. I usually frequent the flagship location in SoCal, so discovering they expanded to NJ was a pleasant surprise! Food was just as superb as their California locations. Service was on point and everyone there was very friendly. For first timers, I highly suggest trying their signature dish, Hui Tou, very delicious. Also, you can't sleep on their XLB, soup dumplings. Fantastic! So happy to have discovered this newly opened dumpling spot. The place doesn't have an extensive menu but specializes in dumplings... and boy do they do it well! Two of us ordered the Three-Flavored boiled dumplings, a dish of fried pork hui tou (flat dumplings), and a lion-head braised meatball noodle to share. The boiled dumpling was excellent... generous and juicy fillings where you can taste and feel the texture of fresh shrimp, pork and chives, all in a very light dumpling skin/wrap (the latter being our hallmark of a great dumpling!). Can't think of a place anywhere nearby that does it this well. The fried pork hui tou was also very good. Crisped and not oily with tasty fillings. The noodle dish was good though not as outstanding... light broth and sizeable portion. Everything was quite a lot for us and we probably could have just ordered any two to share. The food overall tastes more home-stye (so not heavy, but lighter/healthier and good quality) than that typically found in most restaurants that may emphasize heavier more seasoned flavors. Very glad to have this place open up in this area of NJ, and will definitely be back when I have a dumpling crave. Service was efficient and friendly, and looks like they've worked through their opening phase. The place was pretty good. The food was solid. It seems like most of the food is made in-house. The xiao long bao was good as well as the dumplings. The hui tou was very similar to regular fried dumplings it just seemed longer and flatter. The filling was slightly different. I would just get one not both. The beef noodle soup was just ok. The cucumbers seemed fresh and wasn't overly salty. If you like more subtle flavors then you will like it.
