The reason I am giving this place 2 stars is for their lack of respect for a customer's time. I was visiting the area, so I had never been here, however, someone suggested this place. I called and said I'd like to come in for a pedicure in 20 min. They gladly said "yes, come in". So, I arrive and every chair is taken and they look super busy. After about 15 min. they asked me to sit in one of the pedicure chairs that had become available. Great, I think I'll be getting my pedicure soon. Nope, I waited about another 40 min. in that chair. Had they been honest and said they were busy and suggested another time, I would have happily come in later that day instead of sitting there wasting my time. The service itself was just ok. The man doing the ped first made the water a little too hot and when I said so, he turned on the cold water but then stepped away and it got too cold. When he came back, I asked him to adjust it which he did. The pedicure was good; typical - nothing special. I will not return to this place. read more

I'm really disappointed with my recent nail service. I chose a nail design from Pinterest and specifically came to this salon because I saw a design on their website that looked amazing. However, the shape of my nails ended up looking like 'duck nails'--chunky and wide, not at all what I wanted. These nails are just super chunky overall, and even the nail polish looks thick and uneven. They didn't have the correct red, so he had to do multiple coats. The design on the ring finger doesn't look anything like the inspiration photo. I told him the background was brown, but he insisted it was pink I got him to choose a tannish color for the background even though I wanted a brownish color he said it wasn't gonna look good. Additionally, the pinky nails on both hands don't even look the same size. I asked for the same length as in the inspiration picture, but he cut them really short and only asked if that was okay *after* he had already cut them. The service took much longer than expected, and I felt like he was rushing towards the end since they were closing. If he knew he wouldn't finish in time, he shouldn't have taken me as a client. Overall, the result was far from the inspiration and not what I expected based on their portfolio. if I could give zero stars, I would. read more

This was my 2nd time there and I can't say enough on how great my experience was from the time I walked in the door! They have an awesome staff and they really do a great job! I had the best experience here today. I came because my toes had to be done. Every time I try I make them all really jagged so it was blessing to come across this shop while I was in the area. I walked in and was greeted immediately and picked out a color.. they were very busy but I was told to go to my pedicure chair. I had to wait but in all honesty it didn't take long. I showed her the mess I made and she came with dremmel tool to thin out mail and shave it down after cutting. They took great care in what they do. They scrubbed my feet with this little soft brush and it was great!! Definitely one of best pedicures I've had. The young lady had to go do a lady's nails and she asked another to step in. She didn't miss a beat and I was still treated well. I tipped both girls and was very happy with the results! read more

This is a wonderful place to go. Everyone treats you like they are glad to see you. They have an awesome selection of polishes and will also do some cool design. There are many pedicure choices from basic to very fancy. I love their cherry bomb pedicure and will sometimes ask my tech to choose a color for me. Most times they are busy but that's because they do a great job. Sit back and enjoy the down time because when its your turn you will be the focus. read more

Good place for simple things they just don't know how to color nails. When you ask for something they just get I asked for a French with the tip red instead of white so she just got really upset and said I needed to have gel color for that. I said I have had this before with out gel and she just said no after she put the white in my nails she wanted to put the red over the white I asked her to remove the white and she got more upset and did a job l. If you can not do what your client ask the ask a coworker to help if no one can do it say u don't provide that service but don't try to act like I'm asking for an impossible ask what did people do when there was no gel for toes sorry won't be coming here again just for your attitude read more

Aiden is an absolute angel! Being new to the area, I've been in search of a great nail tech and was dreading the search to find THE one. Thankfully, a friend referred me to this shop and I was most pleasantly surprised after another local shop was a total fail. QT Nails was clean, orderly and prompt with their appointments. This. Place. Is. Amazzzzzing. It's so beautifully decorated in every aspect and the attention to detail is on another level. The decor is beautiful and classy. They have a hard bound menu book of services, the bathroom and front area are very nicely remodeled, and these details extend into the services. They even include collagen gloves for your hands while they work on your nails. I loved my nails in the end and the massages and other services were phenomenal! Absolutely worth a visit. I have a goal in 2022 to take care of my nails. With that being said I am already slacking and needed to get my gel taken off and redone and wanted to stay close to home. Decided to go to QT Nails because it's close to my favorite coffee spot and my daughters daycare. Once I went in, it was pretty busy. I always feel that's a good sign. I was sat pretty quickly and they took my polish off and redid my nails. I got matte black, which I always get, and they did a great job. They also do a hand mask at the end and a nice massage. This is a great small hidden gem. They are always nice , and get me right in... Issues: it takes hours to get a pedicure Each time I have come there is an issue with painting my toes. It always takes numerous people to paint toes and with my toes painted over 12 times each the Polish on my big toes is super thick. First off I just moved to nc a few months ago and was weary of all the nail places in the area around hampstead , surf city because it's nothing like what I'm used to in atl or Seattle. After doing some comparing and research I'm DO GLAD I CAME HERE. Tara and Caitlin were the absolute sweetest, genuine, helpful good people and quality nail artists. They were timely, professional, and kind. The foot massage was great, foot soak, and attention to detail was on point. I got nail dip and gel pedicure and they even created a custom color for my toes!! This place is super clean, chic, Boujee and feels like a spa. She was not greeted at the door and come to find out they gave her appointment away and we walked out after waiting 20 minutes in a chair for anyone to come and work on her nails. Give this place a try on an impromptu pedicure. First thing they ask you to do is to wash your hand. I'm down with that as they are trying to protect themselves. Came in for voesh pedicure. The inside is lovely, well-lit, clean and attractive. This might be the prettiest salon I've been to! Staff is very kind. As my polish was drying, she asked if I wanted to sit under the lamp to dry or stay seated in the massage chair to wait to dry; I've never been asked this before and appreciated it so I could sit next to my partner longer! My feet are usually very ticklish, but she did a great job of applying perfect pressure where needed and avoiding tickling. COVID precautions in effect, you have to keep your mask on and wash your hands when you enter. read more

I have come here in the past and have had a pleasant experience. This time the energy was off. I called to make an appt to ensure I gave staff sufficient time. I gave them specific instructions on what I wanted, but it did not come to fruition. I paid for the service and did not complain I just asked for a better understanding of why my nails didn't look like how I explained initially. I just cut my service short. I was supposed to also get a manicure, but after my experience with my pedicure I decided not to. Why I'm coming on here to post about my experience is how they made me feel. I left there fighting back tears. They need to be mindful that though they are speaking in their native language, there are individuals that come in to their place of business that can understand what they are saying. I felt belittled and disrespected for my choice of polish and when I asked for an explanation they laughed. I decided to cut my service short and the individuals working continued to laugh. I paid and went on my way and cried in the car. I now wish I would have asked for them to fix it or change the color entirely. I'm more so not coming back because they don't value people as human beings and don't value their customers. read more

It hurts my heart to make this review. The nail technicians here are seriously the best. The kindest & they always do an amazing job. My literal only complaint is the scheduling/seeing clients. I along with 6 others used their scheduling service & made a 9 am apt. Without asking who had apts or not- a woman was allowed to be seated & started on who did NOT have an apt before me. I sat in the pedicure chairs until 9:40 am until a person came over & started. 9:30 apts started showing and weren't seen until 10 am. Then 10 am apts started showing and so on... all while they allowed walk ins to come in and get in the mix. Myself, along with another woman I sat beside - both made 9 am apts for manicures & pedicures. We waited so long to get the pedicures we ended up both leaving without manicures (that we made apts for). It was super frustrating. I just wish they would take a harder look at their scheduling process. read more

I can't recommend this salon enough and Kaitlyn is heaven sent! I've had so many horrible experiences trying to find a nail salon since moving out here and tried so many salons from Jacksonville, Sneads ferry, and surf city. Finally my search is over! After going to QT Nails for the first time today, I will never step foot into a different salon ever again. First, all of the staff is so kind and friendly, the salon is clean and well organized, but by far the best part is that I felt that my nail tech Kaitlyn really cared. She soaked off my old acrylic and we started fresh. She was so gentle and careful. I'm completely amazed. In the past, my fingers always hurt for a couple of days after getting my nails done because the nail tech is rushed and will rip off old nails etc, but not today! I feel great and my nails look amazing! And all for the same price as the other nail salons I've tried. I really can't say enough good things about this place!
