I explained the problem to the person who answered the call (Mary) and she told me she thought they had a service technician out our way and she would call him to see if he could help us. Mary called me right back and said he could be there shortly. The technician arrived shortly after (Pete) and he checked over our problem and gave me a price. Pete got right to work on it and was out of here in about an hour and 15 minutes. I'm not sure if we would have got anyone else to come if they weren't available and we might not have had water for a couple days. Thursday morning I woke up to a small flood in my basement. The sewer pipe was blocked somewhere…read morebetween my house and the street. There only two plumber/sever companies I have ever dealt with in the past and I didn't want to use either of them because of past experiences. I wasn't really sure what to do so I jumped on Yelp and found All In One Drain Cleaning. I called and got a live person, Bill, who said that someone would be coming out my way in a few hours. Blake was the person who showed up, before noon. He tried snaking the pipe with a monster snake and had no luck. He then had to send a camera down the drain to see what was up. He told me how much it would cost and my eyes rolled into the back of my head but I had no choice and had to go with it. I am really shocked at how much it costs to send a camera down the pipe for 5 minutes. Yikes! Anyway, the camera revealed that the pipe was clogged solid so that was a good call. The next step was to blast the blockage with a water jet. Because of where my drain cleanout is located in the basement, there was no way to blast it without flooding the basement. This is where his boss, Bill, stepped in and a decision was made to dig up the front yard and install a cleanout pipe connected to the main pipe. The whole job took several hours and was finished around 7PM. It cost an arm, a leg, a lamppost, and my firstborn but at last, I was able to shower and poop without worrying that the goods would end up in the basement again. I guess certain services are just very expensive. I don't have any point of reference as to the price point because I wasn't able to "shop" around, although I am also not sure I would want to anyway. Bill and Blake a couple of very hard-working guys and they know their craft. On top of that, they are very personable and bicker like an old married couple. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who is dealing with serious plumbing or sewage problems.

Overall, I was satisfied with the installation, aside from a few configuration changes they made that didn't match how my previous system's backup switch operated. While it took some getting used to, it wasn't a major issue, and I was otherwise happy with the system. Last night, my system developed what appeared to be a minor ignition issue. I called the company's after-hours service line and left a message. Robin, the on-call representative, returned my call promptly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the conversation quickly became disappointing. Before I could fully explain the problem, I was interrupted and told that the company showed I had not purchased propane from them within the past year. I was then informed that, despite spending thousands of dollars on a custom system they designed and installed, they would not service it unless I was buying propane from them. What was most frustrating was not just the policy itself, but the way it was communicated. The tone came across as annoyed and condescending, making me feel like my business and prior investment meant very little. When you spend over $18,000 with a company for a specialized heating system, you reasonably expect that they will at least provide service or support when an issue arises. If this is RJ. McDonald's policy, it should be made very clear before customers invest in one of their systems. I understand businesses can prioritize customers in different ways, but refusing to service equipment they installed simply because I purchase propane elsewhere is disappointing and, in my opinion, poor customer service. Based on this experience, I would encourage anyone considering a custom HVAC installation to ask detailed questions about future service policies before signing a contract.
