The park has a variety of play equipment, a huge sand area that even has toys that regular people probably have brought there and left. There is natural features for kids to explore, like rocks and stumps, and they also have a small handmade stream, but the time that I went, there was no water going through it. There is a baseball diamond and a walking trail around the park. There is also covered picnic area and an open picnic area and there are also even children picnic tables and some nice bathrooms. I would definitely go back because of all the natural features and the abundant shade.

Sometime over the last 5-7 years, they added a little "play creek" type of area that is a lot of fun in the summer time for my girls. It's shaded and a unique way to get their hands dirty. The little track around it is better suited for walking vs running, in my opinion. It's not that big, and it can be a bit crowded on a nice spring day. They also have nice restrooms and a few water fountains, so this was a good turnaround spot for me when I was doing long distance runs. There were men playing cards, men sitting on benches that were facing the playground and just talking on their phone. Older teens, hanging out underneath climbing toys. We left within five minutes and we would've left sooner had our two year-old grandson, not spied some playground equipment towards the back section. As we were leaving and looking by the lake, there were a few people fishing, but then I noticed homeless people living around the lake. I would definitely never suggest bringing a child to this park. It was also unkept with trash around it. It's really a shame because the lake itself looks pretty and the playground probably was updated not too long ago and has Astroturf underneath, but the whole atmosphere makes it unsafe. As we were leaving another family brought a couple of children to the park, but that is all of the children we saw at the park in general.

We'd never been so it was a total unknown to all of us. When I looked it up I noticed that it's a true neighborhood park, which had me wondering if it would really live up to the hype as often neighborhood parks are on the smaller side of things, but holy cow for a small park this is really great and makes good use of space. The bike path which we came for was in fact very cool. It has two roundabouts and goes around the park in a sort of half circle loop. It's definitely for little kids and our kiddos played on it for almost two hours. It also has these sort of mini dmx hills for kids to play on with their bikes and scooters and that was honestly pretty cool to see and fun to watch the kids try out. Aside from the bike path it has two playgrounds, one for little kids that my 18month old loved, and one for big kids that our older kids enjoyed. It also has bathrooms and a shelter. I thought the restrooms could have been cleaner and set up a bit better. It was a very weird set up as it was two gender neutral restrooms with one toilet in each and one stall in each but no locks on the door. I really wish the city would implement locks - it's weird to me that you could be in the stall and have anyone just walk in and stand outside the stall while you're in there - if it was more than one it would feel much more normal, but again stalls are kind of odd in a gender neutral space. I'm all for gender neutral restrooms BTW, I just think these need some re-thinking.

There are two areas with swings and there are various benches for parents. They have a walking trail around the park and basketball courts. They also have a cool scooter paved street, with stop signs and wavy pavement and Hills for some extra excitement! A neat concept for kids to enjoy scooters! They also had what looked to be an enormous flying bike that kids probably could climb on, but it was surrounded by construction fencing so they may have just installed it or we're fixing it.
