The two entrances are one-way. You forgot a cart? Too bad, the alarm starts screaming. I'd be less annoyed with this if the only usable exit didn't have solicitors harassing me about their stupid political petition. They have been there almost every time I've gone for the past few months. That alone makes me not want to come back here. Shoppers should be able to perform their errands without having persistent jerks parked outside all day ready to spring on you with their political agenda. We've been shopping in ALDI Süd's US affiliate ALDI's on and off for years. We like coming here,…read morebut always leave wanting more. For some reason, it has never gain the chicness of ALDI Nord's Trader Joe's But ALDI Süd has been working very hard at expanding their brand here in North America. Recently they purchased nearly 400 Winn-Dixie and Harveys supermarkets in the southern U.S. The food is always fresh and their house German specialty brand, Deutsche Kueche is very good with hard to find items. We particularly like their Christmas holiday Glühwein, Weißwurst, Rheinwein and german Spätzle noodles mixes. Now, if you have never shopped in an ALDI's, don't forget to bring a quarter. Seems the original Albrecht brothers had a thing for shopping carts not being returned. LOL. Another German carryover is bagging your groceries quickly. Macht schnell! (Then why are we still allowing online orders?) ok fine, I'll shop it myself since I can't go home and wait for it to be ready. With the app, there was a "retailer coupon" of $15 off of $75 applied. I showed him my receipt through the app of the coupon applied. I simply asked for that to be honored since I was needing to shop my own order as the manager could not give me an estimated time it would be ready. Justin said he would honor it. As I go to pay for my order, I am told he won't actually honor it and offered me free bags instead. Are you kidding me? This not about the app, the issues are with the store management. In short, expect poor communication if you order through the app as well as if you need a manager to make things right.
