Great location at the Shoppes At The Lakes (corner of Newport and Menifee Roads) with plenty of parking. This Stater Bros. is awesome; super clean, spacious, organized, and fully stocked. I visited specifically for a small cake, and the gentleman behind the bakery counter was very helpful in finding exactly what I needed. They have a nice selection of ready-made cakes and offer pre-orders too. While I found the prices a bit high for the size compared to my usual spot, the amazing staff and clean store made it a totally positive experience. read more

Cameron is the best night manager. I come to this store almost every night. I always see him demonstrate great leadership. He'll open a register to help speed the lines up helping out the cashier. I have to mention how the bagger Joseph ran to get me a Mt. Dew I forgot to get while I was already in line. In this day and time great customers service isn't something that you get everywhere. This is one of my favorite Stater Brothers. Pro tip they are absolutely empty at 615 in the morning ;). The prices are good, produce is fresh, selection is great, and the service always friendly. Tell your baggers!!! Raw meat does not go in the same bag as fresh vegetables like lettuce/salad! This is a hazard and can cause food borne illnesses!! Came in at 9:30ish got stuck in two long lines they had to open another lane. the cashier was talking to the man infront of me talking about each others plans to go somewhere specific for a long while. Finally he leaves as I walked up , complete silence not even a hi :( it was deafening with the bagger and cashier staring at me not even a word. Just staring at me waiting for me to pay. I was wondering why :( no word to me was it personal? Like dang ..then she started a conversation with the bagger after that complete silence lol /: i paid and went on my way . I worked retail all day finally got off work, and to be on the other side being a customer finally it would've Been nice to feel that acknowledgement or positivity as I gave my customers all day kinda bummed people really can't even bring 1% of energy to work... really ruined my night. I moved to Menifee last year. I have shopped the Newport/Murrieta location . This location is clean, pretty nice butchers pretty attentive. For first time I had a little glitch in service. In produce section I was searching for fresh corn to no avail they only had packaged (husk removed) a big sign in red read $3.99 (turned out $3.49 no glasses on) As I proceeded to cashier line I noticed it rang up as $5.99 I mentioned to cashier it should be $3.99, I offered to go take picture she said 'No I will go check'. She took quite a while 3 customers behind me seemed little frustrated! (Did not blame them) She returns and says I could not find that price anywhere! I then said let's go together I will show you. She then says I'll just go ahead and charge the $3.99 (with attitude) I thanked her and responded I just don't want you to think I'm being dishonest. Cashier responds I'm not going to argue with you?? Not very professional. I was speaking calmly and nice. (Mind you she was giving attitude to one of her coworkers before ringing me up) This cashier seems to have chip on her shoulder. I whispered to-bagger (not cashier) what was name of manager, cashier heard me and says rather loudly oh you want manager his name is Felix's over there pointing near liquor area. I go no Felix manager. I go to produce take picture which had $3.49 (even lil lower than what I thought. Listen closely when I took picture in very small print it said sweet peppers which was next to corn yet it had smaller sign in front of pepper for $3.49!! It's obvious this market practices misleading advertisement! There are people who are in hurry and just see the big sign and think that's the price as it's right in front of corn! So now I'm looking harder for manager I asked meat section if manager was there! Nope one other employee on the floor said nope! Don't know if he's even here?? I left disappointed because I feel they should be more cautious! I now am shopping in Murrieta location. Our go-to grocery store! The place is super well-stocked and the prices are WAY more affordable than the other grocery stores. It's always nicely decorated for any holidays coming up. The food and produce is constantly super fresh and the place is very organized. Everything is clean and I never have to worry about them not having anything I need. I am constantly placing online orders i pay for them to shop my orders and at pick up its constant issues with the app. Especially at night it states pick up can be til 9pm i showed up at 8:52 it is now 9:17 and i barely got through a manager on the phone,"we don't have anyone for curside" maybe have a line for curbside and have employees answer i have been calling since 5pm and only deli answered. Very upsetting customer service do not recommend curbside. read more

This was my favorite Staters to come too. Until today. 3/14/25 I had the worst cashier (LATANYA) With a disgusting attitude. I understand everyone has bad days but the way she acted was very unprofessional and unnecessary. Older gentleman was in front of me purchasing beer, reeking of alcohol. While he's waiting for his payment he coughs all over the card machine. I ask LATANYA "can you please wipe the machine down, he coughed all over it" she stood there gave me a huge sigh. I like this Stater Bros. It's clean and they have more products than other smaller Stater Bros. The service is good too. Only thing is the produce can go bad pretty quickly if not eaten. But the Sushi here...wow! It's fresh and it's affordable. I am on a low carb diet and don't want the rice. They have a skinny roll that is so good! What I didn't know was that everyday from 10am to 6 pm there's someone there for made to order sushi. I asked the lady behind the counter and she said she'd have it done in 5 minutes. Mind blown! It was so good and comes with a side of mayo chili and Wasabi. One order was 11.99. I got 2. I'll be back! read more

this stater Brothers is super close to our house and it is very very clean. I really like it and the people are very friendly and everything is very new and stocked up. it wasn't really that busy but maybe because I came at 12:30 PM in the middle of the day. I did see a lot of employees on their phones just chatting and texting. I'm not sure if they were on their break, but I thought that was unprofessional other than that, everything was clean again and I am definitely coming back here since it's the closest grocery store. read more

I asked the nearest cashier she told me i had to wait in line for purchase. It's only crown royal, Please. So store was busy and i had to wait in line and ask cashier to get it, she gives a key to box boy as the entire line waits. Absolutely ghetto. Must be a better way. Zero customer service counter. Had to ask cashier for item availability. Informed that cannot check if item is available via computer. I advised that their specific store has the item on website. She stated that it just means other stores carry this item. This is just not good customer service. SB needs to get with the times. Too many other choices out there. I wanted to give this store the benefit of the doubt. But after shopping here for over a year and all of the bad experiences... well im ready to review. First of all this store needs to better train their employees. They block customer access to fruits and veggies, coolers, etc all the time without a care in the world customers are there. I get it you have to stock sometimes, but manueriving the store should not feel like a game of Frogger. The employees have this aura that their 'job' trumps customer care and service. But BY FAR the worst experience is always in the BUTCHER Block! Staters Website, CHATGPT, and a survey I took all tell me that the butchers will are well trained and will provide exceptional full service. This includes custom cuts, meat grinding, seasoning, etc. So why is it every time I go to the meat section there are 6 employees all with their backs turned acting like there is not a line of customers forming. I ask for a cut in the display and they try to steer me towards the prepackaged over priced cuts. I ask to have pork grinded and they say they don't have any and dont do that. Bull! It says on the website. For a place that prides their butcher block and customer service, this store sucks! Give me a $3 steak knife and an apron and within 4 minutes I will do a much better job doing what these butcher fools refuse to do. read more

Sam is such a sweet patient and efficient cashier. I came in tonight and was promptly greeted very genuinely by a lovely man who was restocking (I didn't catch his name but he was very tall and very nice). I got to the checkout and Sam was helping an older woman in front of me who was having trouble with her payment, getting confused, snapping at Sam, and overall being very difficult and rude. It took her maybe 5-7 minutes to finalize her payment after all her items had been scanned. Sam was INCREDIBLY gracious, patient, and kind with this woman even as she was taking in the lady's rude attitude and comments. She deserves to be recognized because most cashiers would have shit down or snapped right back from my experience. Sam is a gem. read more

SPEEDY CHECK-OUT! I'm happy to say that this store has vastly improved in service. I appreciate the initiative the management and staff took to address the onslaught of people who all appeared at the same time to check-out lol. Rather than have the lines pile up, they opened more lanes!! Ikr, stores don't do this anymore! This location does! I'm proud of Menifee's Staters, it's clean and very spacious. Also, the bathroom is very accessible for customers. My Dad and I came in for a few groceries before we headed home and they had an excellent supply of breakfast items and bakery selections. Overall, the store is well-stocked and the staff seemed to be in a good mood. It's refreshing when ALL customers are welcomed and treated kindly. Thank you Staters! My one recommendation (as with all Staters) is PLEASE get a self-checkout kiosk, it would be the icing on the cake for me! Note, I don't give 5-stars often for grocery stores! read more

I don't normally leave reviews. In fact, I don't ever. Hence why my yelp account name is a random scribble name but I visited this stater bro's today & I typically dread getting off at any grocery store & for good reason because today was just so uncomfortable. I was at the fresh meat section which was empty. Usually there is people waiting there & well there was no one. There was a young african american man who approached from behind the counter to assist me. He already looked like I was just ruining his day by being there. I said 'Hi Hello' & no response, just straight poker face almost as if saying 'just tell me what you want' so I asked for 2 pounds of what I was getting & without saying a single word to me started prepping it. I noticed he only weighed out 1 pound exactly instead of 2 & handed me the meat wrapped up & all I said was 'thank you' & he again without saying a word just walked away. Should I have corrected him & repeated that I wanted 2 pounds instead of 1? Yes. Did I feel super uncomfortable doing so? Yes. I understand some times people are having hard days but to completely ignore a greeting & not acknowledge a person & make them feel like if they're bothering you is crazy. It would have been nice if this man actually said a single word to me, I might have tried to make his own day better but oh well. Now i'm at home with my 1 pound of meat when I needed 2 for breakfast (family of 5) & will go to a different location tomorrow to avoid any unfriendly employee's working behind the meat counter. read more

Four of us came here about 7 weeks ago to buy things for meals. Having grown up in Orange County, CA, I was very familiar with Stater Bros., and this was my favorite go-to supermarket until I moved away from California 9 years ago. This is the first time I went into a Stater Bros. in 4 years, and, my, oh, my, I hadn't been in this location before, but if all of the stores in this chain look similar to the look and feel of this one, Stater Bros. have drastically upgraded and improved their stores! The free parking lot, which is shared with other neighboring businesses in this strip mall, is large and has more than enough spaces for everyone. The exterior of the store is clean, and customers need to grab their shopping carts outside before they enter the store. The store interior is spacious, brightly lit, clean, and well stocked. I like that the aisles are wide enough for two people to push carts through the same aisle, pass each other, and do so while someone bending over looking at something on the lower shelf doesn't get knocked over by one of the carts hitting her butt. The employees, while nice, don't seem to like to interact with people except for the,"Hello, how are you?" at the check out while they're ringing everything up. When we shopped here, Fourth of July was coming up the next weekend, and 4th of July holiday-themed items, such as balloons, flags, and cookies and other baked items with red, white and blue icing and frosting were on full display conveniently located near the entrance. Who would've thought that sticking American flags into the pots with plants would make them 4th of July things? The Market Cafe is the area where you can find hot cooked, and cold prepared food that's ready to eat, and deli items. Everything in this area looked really good. I'm sure that if I came here while I was hungry, I would most probably buy a lot of the hot food without even giving it a second thought. The items in the produce and meat departments looked fresh. We found what we were looking for - mainly breakfast items and some beverages. Prices and quality of the items were good. The quality for the same items are not as high as, say, items that you can find at a farmer's market, but then farmer's market prices are higher. If I lived in the area, I would definitely make Stater Bros. my market of choice again. read more

Service ambience produce food highly recommended, we're new to this community, service is great

Extremely disappointed. I arrived to this location just after closing on 01/23/26. While at the door, a cashier came and opened the door and said they were closed. No harm at all. What IS a problem is the fact that another man was standing outside with me, who appeared to be the same ethnicity as the cashier, and she proceeded to let him in since he mentioned he was just trying to buy cigarettes. I told her I just wanted to grab the 7-layer dip that's right at the front and she told me I couldn't come in. Now tell me if that is right? I am asking for management to check the cameras to verify what I am saying as I'm sure she will deny it. Seems extremely prejudice to me. The time was approx. 11:05pm. I felt extremely disrespected right to my face and she closed the door after letting the other man in with no explanation outside of saying "I'm trying to get people out of here." Again, I beg you to check the cameras to confirm what I am saying is true! read more

This is extremely disappointing. I actually liked this store, and now I will never step foot back in it because of how we were treated. We have given this company thousands of dollars with online orders, only to finally place an order online for delivery and not only have missing items but, conveniently, the most expensive of those missing items: all of the meats and expensive snacks. They said to call DoorDash, and we did. DoorDash ordered a new delivery of the missing items, only for the dasher to call me from the store to say that the items I requested were not given and only two items were replaced. Then, I called the store for a refund (since we paid on their site!!!!) only for them to say, "We cannot help you; it is out of our hands." And then for someone named LILY to place me on hold without telling me she was, just so she could prove a point about who was in charge--how dare she? Times are hard for everyone, and instead of being understanding and doing what they could, she said to call Stater Bros Corporate to figure it out. I never wish bad on anyone, but I truly hope she gets the day she deserves, and hard times never come on her or her family. read more

I usually use the pick up order staters offers because life is busy and I hate grocery shopping lol. Katrina usually does my orders and always communicates if they are out of something and gives me the best options! I don't know who Katrina is but over text. She's extremely friendly and just knows how to do her job so well and always finishes my order way quicker than I can shop it in the store. She also goes out of her way to see if I need an extra item or if I need something in particular and never seems bothered if I am a lil picky with a certain item! Had to park 1 row from Starbucks because it was packed....returning with a full cart of groceries and the security lock left me stranded with $500 worth of groceries.....had to leave my cart and drive over to load it. Never again!!! Unbelievable! Placed me in danger of my groceries being stollen and having to block other cars. Security locks should be only for past the entire parking lot. They told me I had to spend 5 dollars in order to get cash back so in essence they're telling me it cost 5 dollars to get cash back so they're charging a 5 dollar fee to get cash back what a bunch of bullshit! So I say OK fine then I'm just gonna buy a bunch of gum and then return it. I don't want anything. I just wanna get cash back. The manager comes over and says I don't have to help you. I'm not gonna sell you anything! Your not allowed to buy stuff & return it! I said ma'am if I have a receipt, I can return whatever I want! Manger says no you can't you can't buy stuff & return it. You're not allowed to do that and if you plan on returning anything, then I'm not gonna sell you nothing! So I took the gum, threw it at her. I called her a fucking asshole and left. What a bunch of pieces of shit. I went to ralphs ware they only charge .45 cents for cash back. Stater Brothers is so small minded and such a pathetic little stupid store. I love this Stater Brothers market, apparently everyone in the city does too, can't blame them, it's one of the newer, nicer markets and this one has an area off to the side when you walk in, where you can eat if you grab something from the deli/etc. It's got a really nice hot deli, lot more selection of cooked foods than the others I've been to and the quality is enormous. A nice sight for us, coming from the city it originated from (Yucaipa), but this ones way better. I haven't found the freshly baked bollilos here (Mexican version of a small baguette) like the San Bernardino area locations have but the other breads they have are pretty good. I love the patriotic mosaic tile murals on both sides of the store front. It truly recognizes our Armed Forces. Plenty of parking and nice seating areas towards the surrounding neighborhood. read more
