Their food is better than any deli food around. I grew up there so I know this first hand but now, I live about a gabillion miles away so I crave the food here. One thing I forgot is, back east it seems ketchup goes on everything including the egg sandwiches but because it's been so long I wasn't used to it. I was asked if I wanted ketchup on it and I paused.....I was confused, and then remembered there was a time I did put it on about 20 years ago when I lived in the area. So I said sure. Because of where I reside, I now put hot sauce on things so it was a bit strange for me to have a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll with ketchup. Great guys, serving great food amidst the black dirt farms of Goshen. Variety of sausages, pierogi's, potato pancakes, other Polish specialty products. Everything I have tried so far has been excellent, seasoned properly and not over salty. Just picked up some duck sausage today, looking forward to grilling that tomorrow. Grab some of the local onions for sale, plucked right from that fantastic black soil. The deli sandwiches are stuffed with quality homemade meat and various lunch platters are available to eat in or take out. Usually, if the weather permits, I take mine across the road and eat sitting on the back of the tailgate, though if you eat in, beer selection is good and cold. According to two special ladys I know, the liverwurst is out of this world, as they rave about it when I bring it back down to Jersey. Wow! The reviews do not lie! My husband and I came here this past Saturday since we were trying a new brewery in the area and wanted to grab lunch first. The food is fantastic! I had the polish platter, and he ordered the German platter. The pierogies (they gave 2 cheese and 2 potato) were fantastic. The dough was soft and chewy, and the filling was well seasoned. I could have eaten an entire plate of them. The kielbasa was salty and well seared, and the stuffed cabbage were delicious (can you tell I really liked the food?). The filling was well seasoned and the beef was tender. I enjoyed everything on the plate, and the portion was quite generous for $14. My husband equally enjoyed his German platter. I stole a few bites of his sausage and they were quite tasty as well. You can tell that the meat is good quality, and everything is well prepared. We got a package of bacon and 2 packs of pierogies to take home. I can't wait to eat them! I would definitely return here next time I'm in the area, and I'd bring a cooler so I can bring more meat home! This place is outrageous. The best kelbasa, maybe in the country. Home make cold cuts, natural too. Truly the home of a gifted chef. The perogies are as good as it gets. But that is not all. This little off the tracks, back road country store also has other non polish foods. Like Italian sausages. If you are having a summer barbeque and don't place an order here for it, you have done yourself a disservice. They feature a summer selection of things for the grill, like the sausage patties that are arguably the highlight of the summer fare. Let's suppose you need a steak, any cut, any time of year, get it here. Prime rib? Marbled to perfection? No other place to source. Do not go home without their stuffed mushrooms if you want to impress your guests or just be gultinous. Did I mention the double baked potatoes? The bottom line is this, if you are in any way serious about your food, you will stop here and load up. It's amazing the gems you can find and this place is one. My mother grew up in Vernon so we go there very frequently. This is on the way. Its unreal. The atmosphere can be a little off putting you kind of need to know what you want. But If you have somewhat of an idea and aren't 100% everyone in the store will not only help you but share their very valuable opinion on whats good or what to get. I can't begin to discuss how delicious the Perogies are. They have several options you can buy frozen which i LOVE because you can buy a bunch... bring them home.. pop them in your freezer and have them any time you'd like. The meat is also delicious. I don't know what to say other then i've never had anything like their kielbasa. It's unreal. I'm not big on meats but i've heard from family everything else is just as delicious. Oh and eating there... awesome. They make the perogies and you can just sit and enjoy them with or without onion and sour cream. So fresh so good. I used to stop in year a couple times a year with my mother who spent her first 25+ years of her life in the vicinity... I remember getting delicious fresh pirogies, smoked sausage, beef jerky, liverworts and kielbasa. We would pack am empty cooler just for the trip home! Today was not a disappointment. Now you can eat the fresh there and and travel with the frozen! Perfect! I was sad not to see the pastrami (bc i recall the pastrami being the bomb) on the menu today, so instead my bf and I tried the Polish Plate with cheese perogies smothered in butter onions, kielbasa with sauerkraut and a huge golabki (stuffed cabbage). It was awesome and filling, but not over the top. We don't get out here often enough. Near Pine Island, Its a little out of the way for us, living in New Jersey. Never disappointed though. Salads are same day fresh. My favorite is the Red Potato salad. Love the Deviled Eggs also. They are fully packed. Today I had the Turkey hero. Plenty of meat and a nice fresh roll never hard or crusty. They buy the best product available from very reputable providers and don't use preservatives, so there products have to be consumed quickly... There smoked ham has been our favorite for the special occasions and holidays, for many years... The ribs and chicken are out of this world, I can't get enough... Bobby has catered our events for 3 decades and I have to say that the bacon wrapped sea scalops are 1of my personal favorites.. This used to be a good store and deli 20 years ago when Mrs Sobkowiak was still alive. Now, her sons don't follow her recipes and the food is not the same anymore. I see people below say that they loved the polish kielbasa at this deli... Well, they probably never tried real kielbasa before. If you want to try real kielbasa, the store Kiszka in Greenpoint NY or Piast in Garfield NJ has the best polish meat products to offer. Also Krakus and Bratek in Passaic NJ has good polish kielbasa, ham, real bread and more... Those meat and bread products are made there on promises by polish people born in Poland from 100 years old recipes. Quaker Creek on Pulaski Highway though make their own beef jerky and they are delicious. They also make their own hamburgers and they are better than from shop-rite for sure. So this deli is more American than Polish now, although the Sobkowiaks family are really trying hard to upkeep the polish traditions there. read more

I'm of Polish/German descent and my fondest memories are of family gatherings over holidays where the handed down recipes were brought out. My JaJa Stash's Homemade polish sausage, my Baba's Pierogies, Paczki, Chrusciki from the Polish side and my Oma Ida's Kohlrouladan (cabbage rolls)and Beef Rouladan from the German side. I have found few Polish restraunts that can come close to their cooking..and I have tried the best in Chicago, Detroit (shout out to Hamtramck and New Palace - the best Polish bakery and Paczki!) When my husband and I moved here from Michigan last year I was missing these special foods around the holidays. I was searching online for Polish restraunts and came across Quaker Creek. I didn't know they actually served food there based on their website, but thanks to the reviews I realized there were "German" and "Polish" plates where several of my favorite things were plated together. We took the short trip out in black dirt Vidalia onion country and I was delighted by what I found. It's small, it's a hole in the wall, it's not fancy and best of all - it reminds me of home! Just good food, authentic with quality ingredients. My husband got the pierogie plate which features several kinds and I got the Polish platter. DELISH. My only complaint and suggestion - get a bakery going - no one in the Hudson Valley makes Paczki! The owners would make bank. read more

We go here for lunch at least once a week as our business is in Florida. I have ordered catering- very good, they can make whatever you want. You would not know it when you look at the deli case, but they have the best prime meats in the Warwick Valley. I have had to go down to Jersey to get prime but found their steaks to be of better quality. I believe the owner is a CIA grad and the specials selection each day is almost gourmet.
