The guy behind made it perfectly and just right, since I had stuff removed and added. As for the pasta salad it was good, nothing moving the needle forward in taste. After reading the reviews, we decided to get subs for dinner as the weather is so humid.. The gentleman behind the counter (Tom?) was so friendly and pleasant. We looked around and saw the salads, potato, macaroni, pasta, beans looked extremely fresh. We also got 1/2 pound of potato salad. My turkey sub was absolutely delicious! The bread is so fresh and the amount of meat is very generous! Hubby got an Italian mixed and he said his was just as good. The potato salad was as close to my homemade as I've ever had purchased from a deli. There's also a great selection of deli meat you can purchase. It's a great little store/deli and we will definitely be making this place our go to for subs!! read more

The BEST sandwiches in Middletown! Reminds me of the ones I used to get back in the city. Lots of thinly shaved meat piled high with just the right amount of shredded lettuce, and thinly sliced onions! The bread is always fresh, and the sandwiches never disappoint. Even though I haven't been here in a long time and I'm not a huge sandwich person, I do love Tom's Market! Their sandwiches are awesome with so much meat on them! None of their food tastes like the store-bought processed stuff. It's in a great location right across the street from a family park with a pool. I used to go here a lot during summer break from school. My little cousins and I would swim for a few hours then go get a sandwich from Tom's every time.. They truly are delicious! I've been ordering subs from Tom's Market for many years. I've always been extremely happy with my order. However, last week I ordered 3 subs and when we arrived home to eat them, 2 of them were not made as ordered. My sub did not have mayo or onions as requested and hardly any oil and vinegar. My grandsons sub had tomatoes when I clearly stated no tomatoes. Our order was taken from a middle aged employee. She was friendly and courteous but didn't fill the order as she had written on the ticket. She wrote down the order as I placed it but must have rushed the order because she didn't fill the order as she written it as I ordered it. Well, it is as it is but I won't place an order over the phone again. I'll walk in and place my order face to face and only if Tom or his family members are there to fill my order. Potato Salad, Mac Salad, and Baked Beans are store made and delicious. The main thing to get here is the store baked roast beef on a hard roll. If you get there at lunchtime when it's still warm, it's like heaven on bread. This place has a real community feel. There's always a bunch of guys hanging around shooting the breeze with the owner. Being from Philadelphia I Know what a Proper Hoagie...oops excuse me (I live in Middletown now) Sub should taste like, and this is it, there is a good place in Port Jervis and too Chrissy's in Matamoras Pa. makes a great sandwich, but Tom's Market is the truth. The homely atmosphere was awesome. Upon walking into Toms Market, my nose was assaulted with the aroma of onions and other sandwich making condiments. Long time residents of Middletown have always encouraged me to go there. After 10 years, I finally did and boy have I been missing out. Went here today and could not believe how expensive it has gotten at Tom's. We ordered one sub, one hard roll sandwich 2 egg salad on white and a tuna on white. We got a potato salad and a macaroni salad and drinks and it was 52 dollars. The food was good but i think the price was kinda high for sandwiches for lunch. Especially since 2 were only egg salad on white. For that price we could have gone to a nice sit down lunch not sandwiches for the park. read more
