My wife and I took by 12 year old granddaughter to her first Quakes game as she just became interested in baseball. The game was great and for the most part it was an enjoyable experience although we did notice some issues. We did not like that women were not able to bring in their purses and everything they owned had to fit into small clear plastic pouch. We found this impractical and unreasonable. No explanations given for this, but this is not a way to treat the fans. The biggest issue was that the concession lines were long, ok they were busy, but they were very few staff working behind the register and they seemed very ill prepared to assist anyone trying to buy food or drink. They all seemed confused when trying to ring you up as well as they would not provide receipts for you purchases. On top of all of this, they were out of a lot of items. And this was before the game had even started! It only got worse as the game progressed too. Were then not anticipating people wanting hotdog and peanuts at a baseball game. For these reasons, is what prompts me to write this review and provide such a low rating. All other aspects of the game and stadium were fine, but the service at Quakes Stadium was horrible. read more

While living in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, I had the chance to go to several Quakes games. When I first moved to RC, the Quakes were the Angels Single A team, but then they became the Dodgers Single A team as the Angels Single A team moved to San Bernardino. These games are so much fun, very entertaining and very inexpensive. Okay - Let's look at this from a realistic point of view. 1) Parking - Excellent. Plenty of parking and only costs $5. 2) Food - Okay. Limited selection and locations. But it IS a Level "A" game and the fan base is extremely limited. 3) Stadium - YAY. The Stadium is very nice. It's clean and well-kept. Seats were good. We were in the sun, but moved to the shade and were comfortable. The seats themselves are just as comfortable as all the other stadiums I've been to. It was great that they had a guy walking around with a trash bag, collecting empty food containers, bottles and cups to keep it clean. 4) Fans - YAY. The fans were loyal and cheered on their team! You could tell that some of them were parents of the players, but the majority of them (in this reporter's opinion) were regulars and rooted for the home team. There was even a guy wandering around the stands collecting dollars in a batting helmet for the guy that hit a home run. 5) Baseball - Meh. This is the bottom tier of four-tier system. These guys just started playing "pro" ball. They probably have not been playing together as a team for very long and it showed. A simple double-play didn't happen very often. 5) Pricing - WooHoo - Let's face it. $13 for a ticket. And as I said earlier $5 for parking. It was well worth it for the experience. 6) Entertainment - YAY. There is a lot of extraneous activities going on between innings including competitions, contests and give-aways. It helps break-up the blahs and keeps us fans interested. Overall - I enjoyed the game - even though we (Quakes) lost after a GREAT come from behind, to gain the lead! Rancho Cucamonga is a long way for us to go for a game as we live in Bellflower. But I would do it again for sure. It just wouldn't be on a regular basis. read more

Had a great time coming here last Friday. Experience was fantastic. Parking $5 and 5 minute walk to the entrance. Ticket price were reasonable and had a nice fireworks show afterwards. Not that the program is hoke- and schlock-free; it's just that they pull it off so well. Charged with keeping the good times rolling between innings is Crazy J, peripatetic cheerleader and stadium ringmaster. Dressed in a blue cloth jacket, blue knee-high shorts and a black top hat, Crazy J incites enthusiasm for, this year, a mediocre L.A. Dodgers Class A-advanced Rancho Cucamonga farm team (pun intended). One of his tasks this night was presiding over a questionably plotted relay race around the bases, as infielders altered their warmup so as not to bean the young contestants. The headliner of the show is the Quakes' mascot, Tremor, a goofy-looking dinosaur whose antics evoke a low-budget version of Philadelphia's Phillie Phanatic, with one enhancement: Tremor occasionally "works blue," perhaps a fringe benefit of Dodgers family membership. Dressed in drag, a seduction routine of the home-plate umpire (to Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On") could well be entitled "9-1/2 Walks." The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are by far the best entertainment value in the Inland Empire. Tickets cost between $9 and $13 and there is not a bad seat in the house. As a lifelong Dodgers fan, I was thrilled when the Quakes became one of their minor league affiliates two years ago. They became part of the Dodgertown family and the Epicenter (technically LoanMart Field now, but I prefer the old name) has several nice tie-ins to the Dodgers. The Quakes are a class organization: the Epicenter is the perfect setting for a day or night at the ballpark. Staff members are friendly and courteous, from the ticket booth workers to the stadium ushers. I've brought my parents in the past and there was a worker in a golf cart that gave them a lift from the disabled parking spaces to the main entrance (they also did this after the game). Service could not be better. Capacity is only about 6,000, as compared to 56,000 at Dodger Stadium, so nosebleeds are non-existent at the Epicenter. Parking is $4. Outside food or drink is not allowed, but you can bring in sealed bottled water. They serve Dodger Dogs and plenty of other ballpark fare and the prices are equal to or less than their major league counterparts. The pricing at a Quakes game is fair and reasonable, especially when you realize that a ticket to the game is less than the parking fee at Dodger Stadium. If you've never been to a minor league baseball game, then you're in for a surprise. The atmosphere is much more family-friendly and the between-innings entertainment is hilarious. There are silly contests, comedy acts, t-shirt giveaways, and other random fun. I love the promotions that they offer, especially Recycle Tuesdays, when you can get a free $9 seat in exchange for 10 plastic bottles or cans. On Thirsty Thursdays you can drink $2 beers ($3 premium beers) and on Family Fridays, you can get $1 hot dogs, $1 sodas, and $1 ice cream sandwiches. They also offer giveaways on certain nights, from Quakes hats to player bobbleheads. Tremor is the Quakes mascot (he's a "Rallysaurus") and he and the in-house emcee, Crazy J, do a fantastic job of keeping the crowd entertained. It's always a blast watching Tremor run around the bases, interacting with the umpires, or dancing on top of the dugouts. Finally, the games themselves feature good quality baseball. Obviously, Class A won't have a field full of all-star players, but it's easy to root for these young players working toward their major league dreams. Highly recommended. read more

All seats are great here. I have been a season ticket holder since they opened in 1993. They started as an affiliate of the Padres, then the Angels and now the Dodgers. In each period, they have been an excellent franchise with very competitive teams. Class-A+ California league champions in 1994 and 2015. The alumni cast of major league players is impressive: Derrek Lee, Mike Trout, Corey Seager and Cody Bellinger. Short term rehabs of injured Dodgers over the last 8 years has produced thrills for the Quakes crowd with players: Yasiel Puig, Justin Turner, Joc Pederson, Kenley Jensen and Clayton Kershaw among many others. This year, the Quakes have the first Israeli drafted by a Major League Baseball team (2015). His name is Dean Kremer and he pitched a great game in the season opening series. $5 giant popcorn, $7 beers and two specialty food stations along right and left fields provide a value bargain for Inland Empire families. Lots of free parking or $5 VIP parking available. Crowds of 2-3000 are commonplace. Seats directly behind home plate and the dugouts are $13. Since 2009, the team has been owned and operated by Brett Sports and Entertainment, headed by former Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer George Brett and his brother Bobby Brett. Going to a Quakes game is a real treat! Compared with the Angels or Dodgers, it's a far better experience, even though the level of play is a little less. Every seat in the stadium is a good seat, and the prices are very reasonable. There are many contests and give-a-ways during the games. Our last trip was on a Friday, so there were $1 hot dogs, Pepsi drinks, and ice cream sandwiches. So you don't have to break the bank to have a fun evening at the ballpark. What a disappointment, I went to the souvenir shop to buy a pin for baseball cap. I was told they were sold out for the rest of the season. Really?!! As far as the game itself, very impressed with the staff helping people to their seats (and watching for seat jumpers). I did go back to Loanmart Field and I did go back to the Cantina! My husband wanted to try it and although I was much inclined to run the opposite direction I saw a very long line and thought for a second all these people can't be let down and gave in. This time I was not disappointed! The kitchen was in full swing. Staffed with around five to seven people and someone over looking them. There were buffet warmers brimming with meats, rice and other dishes to serve. I had my father in law, husband and daughters with me this time. We ate one plate of carne Asada French fries and went back a second time to order another they were so good. Over the course of the night we shared four (frozen) this time, margaritas. My biggest recommendation to the Quakes is to ensure season ticket holders receive the bobbleheads before the other unemployed doyers fans that camp out the night before do. The food needs work. Attending minor league games around Southern California for fun this past summer. It is a lot of fun. Tickets are cheap for very good seats compared to a major league game. Parking is a whole lot better. Food while a little pricey is a lot cheaper than a major league game. The quakes have craft beer available. I mean real craft beer and not just one but several on tap. Overall it is a real good value for your money. This is the Dodgers minor affiliate but the stadium venue reminded me of Yankee stadium on a smaller scale. It is a little tight when you walk in and when you are waiting in line but overall I like the feel and energy of this place. I would definitely come back to watch a game. read more

Plenty of parking ($4). located just off I-15, west on Foothill Blvd, south on Rochester to park on right. Sorry, the other "mascot" with the big cowboy hat was great, too (Crazy Mike, great energy dude, keep it up!). I cheered for Lake Elsinore (they won 3-0) but Mike Trout is a great hitter for RC! Hope to see him in the majors someday! Mike hit 3 stingers!! The games are fun, especially if you have children in your group. So, I 100% recommend the games. The field is nice and seating is great. During summer evenings, the sun is blinding for the first few innings, on the first base side of the field. It's a good idea to eat before you go. We went a few days ago and they were out of hotdogs and out of sausage (they had some later). They had no lids for the drinks. They had no ice cream. They had no spoons. The nachos were a handful of chips with a glob of cold cheese. We gods a soda with no lid and it was mostly ice. Definitely not worth the money.
