My Dad passed at the end of May, 2025. He had managed the estate taxes for 50 years. But Dad got…read moresick in 2018 and things slipped. We had 5 years of back taxes to file and collection letters coming in when he passed. Our attorney recommended Wayne Long and Co. We were put with David Marty. He did little to nothing in 8 months. And billed us for several meetings he was not prepared for at all, he even said he wasn't prepared, but he did not cancel. And he still billed us while he talked about his new dog for 45 mins. This firm cost my family something worse than money, time, 8 months the IRS and FTB thought we were doing nothing. We were treated like we were a bother and our Estate (multimillion) was treated as less than his "important" clients. I followed up every few weeks often with no response. Save the wasted time, go elsewhere. All that was done in 8 months was the pulling of transcripts for 2 of the 5 unfiled years. My Dad had an accountant in another state he used for 40 years, but their system broke down when he got sick. I thought David was going to help us get our back taxes resolved. What we got was a "slick" salesman who over billed us, and treated us like peasants, both at the same time. And now I've had to hire a tax attorney to fight an FTB Levy, as well as a new CPAs to do the filings. Save yourself a headache by not using Longview Advisors at all.

As a business owner I expect that the accounting firm should act in a professional manner. Very unprofessional behavior which has forced my company to file a complaint with the state cpa board ....avoid this company and the subsequent group that purchased his practice

Absolutely not, never. I was contacted by mail on re: amount held by an insurance company. I…read morecontacted TX State Comptroller office who held funds directly instead of using mymoneymonitor.com. Before the transaction was completed mymoneymonitor.com attempted to collect 10% of amount they stated that was due. Name was incorrect, amount incorrect. They also stated that I made an agreement using an e-signature. They provided a document with a signature that is rarely used except in rare and extreme legal cases. I attempted to call them several times but they threatened me stating they have an IP address and they would send this to a collection agency along with putting it on my credit history. Maria Muralles said that the amount they were attempting to collect was incorrect that there was a variance due to fees and taxes. The TX Comptroller Office stated they are fully aware of this companies use of attempting to strong arm people into paying fees that are not due them.

MyMoneyMonitor wanted to charge me 20% to pay me the money, I did some internet research to see if MyMoneyMonitor was legit and several blogs said that I could get the money directly with out any fees by going to http://www.unclaimed.org/ , and did so and sure enough I can get 100% of my money with out any additional fees!!! Apparently My Money Monitor makes their money by making people aware that they have this money pending, however as part of their "service" they charge you a 20% fee, which is a bit of a ripoff since you can get 100% of your money yourself.
