Instead of coming out and charging me to replace the windshield for a solution that he knew would not work, AJ called me immediately and let me know what the most likely problem was. He said the windshield replacement would not solve it, and that I needed to re-seal or replace the cowl under the windshield wipers. He was right.! I never imagined that a routine upgrade would one day make the difference between life and death, for both myself and my daughter. Fast forward to 2025. While driving northbound on Highway 75, two vehicles were racing southbound. One lost control, crossed five lanes, and slammed into the center median. The impact shattered the concrete barrier, sending massive chunks of debris and twisted vehicle parts hurtling into oncoming traffic, directly at us. Our vehicle was struck multiple times. Concrete boulders and flying metal slammed into the windshield. But thanks to the clear tint Alta Mere installed years earlier, the glass held. It didn't shatter. It didn't send shards into our faces. And those deadly projectiles didn't make it into the cabin. Without question, that tint saved our lives. I finally have internet at the house and can finally write this review. I was able to message the…read morecompany through Yelp. One thing you need to have handy to get an estimate are the measurements of the windows. Good thing my house windows are the same sizes which made the whole process easier. The only thing that was not the same size was the patio door. When I talked with James, he replies very fast and very friendly as well. He does an onsite consultation and gets the exact measurements, but unfortunately, I had to work during the week and no internet at the home yet and then of course all my belongings were still in California. However, he did mail me a package of tint to take a look at and all prices are the same no matter what you choose. I decided not to look anywhere else and just went with this company. The prices were great. I had my windows tinted in California and I paid 3 times as much, but then again I did have more windows too. The installer came the following week and got done within 5-6 hours as I had 13 windows to tint. The thing that made the process fast was everything was precut and ready to go and all I had to do was give them the measurements. I am sure I was probably off a little, but they managed to make the windows perfect. Overall, for great prices, awesome service and excellent feel for the house. Well money spent especially for the Texas heat. I will put in pictures later.
