I bought a 2018 Ford F150 Limited at Quality Auto Mall. My salesman was Paul Longano who was a pleasure to deal with. Paul suggested an extended warranty for the truck and because of all of the electronics on a F150 Limited , I thought it was a good idea so I purchased it.. The truck ran perfect but an issue developed on 9-13 in the late evening. The sunroof jammed in the open position. Luckily there was no rain forecasted in the evening. I called early the next morning hoping that the service department could fix it right away. I spoke to Carlos Santana in service who told me he would check to see if they could squeeze me in. Fifteen minutes later , he asked me to bring the truck down at 12. I walked into the service department at 12 and spoke to Dan Sangirardi, he asked me to take a seat in the waiting room and he was going to have the service department evaluate the problem. Ten minutes late he told me that they were on it , had the parts to fix it and it would be done in 30-45 minutes. Service tech Joseph Schultz did the repair. My sunroof works just like new. I was amazed at how well the entire team at Quality worked and would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. Worse experience in my life! I broke my wrist, shattered my elbow, 13 staples in my head from an ATV accident. I had a better time during that process then my experience at quality auto mall! The service is awful! I was told my vehicle would be done in a couple days, but it's been over two weeks! Every time I call to get an updated timeline I get told it will be done tomorrow! Do not get service done here. I would steer completely clear of the service center for this location. I can not speak to the professionalism of the sales staff or their tactics. If however, they are anything at all like the Service Center, I'd run away from this place with all haste. I, have always stuck to my one trusted mechanic for maintenance on my vehicle. This is a local mechanic that is honest and exceptionally skilled. However, for the first time in the life of my Ford Expedition, I need to have service performed specifically by ford. I drove in with my truck and asked if they had availability to run a diagnostic and what are the costs for said diagnostic. I was immediately quoted with a very odd look on the service reps face: $200. Her look indicated to me that either she thought that was expensive or expecting I was not going to like that charge. I said that's fine, I gave her the information of what I believed the problem was with the vehicle. I showcased the paperwork of the work that had just been done servicing my truck and what my mechanic thought was needed, which could only be done by Ford. The lady started giving me a number of odd answers and made a number of assumptions. I then explained that none of what she stated was the case. I have an ODBII sensor that connects to my tablet and I can read all of the codes given. My codes were clear and no new codes were coming up. She then started making odd accusations as if my mechanic didn't know what he was doing. I'm in Rutherford NJ. Anyone who is anyone here knows Glen's Auto Service. She walked away with a smug look and went to a manager. She comes back and tells me the diagnostic is going to cost $300... I asked why the increase in price? She didn't give me an answer and then stated It is on top of whatever the service work they do. I tried to make sure we were on the same page. I'd pay $300 for the diagnostic and while they are already in the engine, taking apart the items that need to be looked at, once they see the issue that has to be replaced I am charged again as if a diagnostic never took place - which is essentially like charging me twice for already being in the engine. She said. Yes. Then all she gave me was a fuck you, pay me look. It's hard to describe beyond the reductio ad absurdum but those of you out there that understand what I am talking about know the look. I was likely rude in my demeanor at that point. Because I was already thinking they are in a position of power here, I have nothing to negotiate. I realized at that moment. I can go to another Ford. Which I did. I went to Fette Ford. They only charged me $176 and didn't keep it despite the work done on the vehicle. The diagnostic charge went toward the costs of the service. They also knew my mechanic and stated he's one of the best in town. Quality Ford needs to be disabused of the notion that the people in our town are going to tolerate such unprofessional service and that we will not tolerate being gouged. I'll post about my extremely positive experience with Fette Ford. Contrary to popular belief, they are not all the same simply because the name Ford exists on their banner. It's not like a franchise where all conditions are the same to hold the name Ford. The Quick Lane service at Quality Automall on Route 17, Rutherford, NJ used to be my favorite place that I trusted and respected to service my car until my recent visit on May 1, 2024 where the bad intentioned management team decided to impose a 3.5% fee on credit card transactions. I call this a "BANDIT FEE". Since the introduction of credit cards many years ago the merchant and not the customer always paid the credit card company the fees charged to them and this was always recognized as "The Cost of Doing Business" and merchants competed and fought very hard to earn your business. This don't seem to be the case any longer. With all the competition for your business on the market today, how does these jackasses justify charging a "Bandit Fee" to its loyal paying customers? Take a good look at your waiting room and see how empty it is, then tell yourselves how the "Bandit Fee" is working out for you. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Brought my car here for "the works" which should include an oil change, tire rotation, brake check and all those maintenance stuff. Told them my brake feels weird .They only changed my oil, topped of fluids. Said my car is great condition except for my tires that need to be replaced. Was not satisfied with it, especially my hand break was not working anymore, so I went to my local shop and they found my front brakes are 40%, and rear down to 10% calipers and rotors had to be replaced. This place is horrendous. The sales staff is probably one of the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with. His name is Alvaro Curiel. I have never been in negotiations with someone that would continue to respond with "lol" like a 7yr old. Not to mention when we went on a test drive he sat on his phone the whole time and barely answered questions. When he did answer it was wrong and not helpful. I was severely low balled on my trade in - atleast 7k lower than KBB, carmax, and other dealers. They told me I would get a 7 yrs or 100,000 mile warranty if I pre certified it for 1100 extra dollars....turns out four years later what they tell me is....I have no warranty the 7 years started from the original date 3 years before I bought it. What an AWFUL experience I had here purchasing my first vehicle (I previously leased with another dealer) everything was going smooth, I met with Danny test drove a car and fell in love with it! BEWEAR: I was charged almost a $100 for A Basic oil change today. $79.62 Which is a ripple off. I called around out of curiosity, every other surrounding ForD locations charges between $43 to $49 Which I remember being the typical pricing for a complete works special Which includes OIL change, tire rotations, topping of fluids etc. my receipt breaks down $24 for labor $9 for parts and $35.70 for GOG. Be very aware of GOG still do not know what that is $5.89 for miscellaneous charge with came to $79.62 which was a ripple off . I had a great experience at Quality Auto Mall. I went in after a day of texting back-and-forth with Paul. I was coming after his shift so he set me up with Jorge. I knew what I wanted, and I was immediately shown 3 of the models and was able to test drive one. I had my mind made up after a 5 minute negotiation. There were no sales tricks (which I have dealt with before at 2 other NJ dealers), no dealer required add-ons, etc. only a very reasonable $599 doc fee. I willingly paid a small market adjustment for a rare car that was a fair price to me. You might be wondering why I'd recommend a place that charges a market adjustment. You can't get this vehicle without an adjustment anywhere and after our deal, I paid what I would have paid for next year's already announced model with some options that are no longer included. If you want to buy a car, I highly recommend Quality Auto Mall. You can be in an out in an hour if you know what you want, what you don't want, and can articulate that. My Ford was serviced last week by another dealer, yet my Ford wouldn't start Monday morning, so I called Ford roadside assistance for a tow, as the vehicle is under warranty. I had no choice but to have it towed to Quality Auto Mall, as it is the nearest dealer. I am shocked by what has happened since. First, I took the courtesy shuttle back to my home while waiting for a diagnosis and time estimate to fix my car. We discussed that I'd need a rental if it was going to be more than a day, and also discussed the agreement that Ford has for rentals, where they pay $30/day toward a rental. Since my vehicle was just service (last week), I felt Ford should pay the entire amount. I was directed to call Ford customer service. I did. They confirmed that the warranty allows for $30/day for a rental while the vehicle is in for warranty work, and if I wanted to appeal this, they could escalate my ticket for call back. I am expecting this call today. On Monday late-afternoon, I called to check on status, and was told they were having a hard time isolating the problem, but that the electrical expert would look at it first thing Tuesday morning. I agreed to wait to hear from them Tuesday, and let them know I would call back Tuesday afternoon if I didn't hear back. This is where it got ugly. I called Tuesday afternoon and was transferred to service, no one picked up so I left a detailed message and asked for call back. 45 minutes later, I called back, was transferred again, and was told the technician had to leave, so my vehicle was not being worked on. I was put on hold to talk to the service manager. He never picked up. I called again, and indicated I would need a rental, as I now had missed 2 days of work, and was no closer to getting my vehicle back. I was put on hold for the person who could arrange the rental, and I remained on hold for over 20 minutes. Someone picked up after 20 minutes, and apologized, but said she'd have the service manager call me back to arrange the rental. 45 minutes later again, I called in again and spoke to Tom. Tom refused to assist with a rental, saying I was not guaranteed a rental. He told me to call Ford. I told him I already did, and they confirmed the rental program, and that I needed him to make the arrangement so I'd be able to get a car. He refused again, saying "you're not guaranteed a car". I reminded him that both Ford, and his own service team had already addressed and confirmed the availability of a rental for warranty service, and he again refused. He then said "you need to call Ford, get them to f*ing pick up your car and have it towed to the other dealer. They f'ed it up, we don't have time to fix their f-ing mistakes". I asked for a supervisor, at which time Tom indicated he IS the supervisor. I reminded Tom that I'm a customer, and I buy cars, and the way he was speaking to me was making it unlikely that I'd buy my next vehicle from their dealership. He responded, and I quote: "Good. We don't need more customers like you". Shame on you Quality Auto Mall, for not staffing your service department with enough technicians to service your customers, and for subjecting your customers to abuse and hostility at the hands of your employees. Tom should be fired, and should never be in a position to deal with the public. I am shocked and offended by this treatment, and hope others will learn from my experience. read more

Well, I was still in the market for a new Ford Explorer to lease. Went to a few other dealers and once again, got the run around and super high prices. The COVID crated chip shortage is making it VERY hard to buy a vehicle, as stock is extremely limited. Decided to go back to Quality Ford and give them another chance. This visit was like a night and day visit from the last time I was here. (Maybe they read my first review on Yelp?) Gave my original salesman Danny another try. He was helpful, courteous and best of all, we put together a deal quickly and without BS! Maybe I came here last time when everyone was having an off day? They didn't have a huge selection of Explorers, but they had more than most dealers did. They actually had the exact XLT model and color I wanted. Danny really worked with me to get the price I wanted, and I left totally satisfied. Hey, we're all only human, like I was saying, maybe my last visit was on an off day. Glad I gave them another chance. I had to update my review to let people know. Go check them out and see Danny or any of the other salespeople there. Visited Quality Auto Mall to look at a vehicle(2014 Escape) on Dec 6, 2017 between the hours of 3 and 4:30pm. I walked the lot for roughly 20 minutes and had no contact made with me. I decided to walk over to the Pre-owned building to find a salesperson to assist me. I noticed one person in a office barely visible ruffling through paperwork. Instead of being greeted and welcomed I had to walk over to the office and ask for help. Response was what are you interested and give me a minute. Took him a few minutes and he came out and grab keys to the vehicles I was interested in, took me outside and started one vehicle(which barely had enough power to start but eventually did). I began to look over the vehicle and he once again asked me to give him a minute and left. While siting in the vehicle and checking the functions of all buttons and screens in the vehicle. I look up and he's standing in front of the car having a cigarette yeah I understand you need one, I smoke to but you don't smoke while showing a car to a potential customer. I decide that the vehicle I'm in is not the one for me, I asked for the keys to the other vehicle and proceed to inspect it, bam again I'll be right back. Honestly if you where that busy you should have put another salesman on me to answer questions and tell me about the vehicle. He returns I tell him okay lets talk about the car see what we can do at which point I expected to be asked to test drive the vehicle which I was never offered. Instead I was told to come inside and take a seat. Fine we can talk numbers I can test drive the vehicle later. I asked why its not Certified Pre Owned and asked if it could be was told sure as long as it was preowned prepread and the info was in the folder. Never went to look at the folder and started to talk price. I did inform him that I was working on 3 other deals for the same year, model, and trim vehicle with the same mileage and options one being better equipped and already CPO certified and a lower starting price and I was also going to be a cash buyer. Was told that's even worse to pay cash and the finance manger isn't going to like that. Really I didn't know paying cash for something was frowned upon and who cares if the finance manger doesn't like it I'm not financing and they doesn't own the dealership. We went back and fort told him what my budget is and what I was willing to spend all in for the vehicle, still no check if the vehicle can be Certified no test drive offered and no check with a sales manager if the deal can be done. At this point I knew my efforts to make purchase and drive the vehicle away that night are pretty much non existent. So I let the salesperson know to pass the deal along to his higher ups and let me know. At that point I allowed him to capture my contact information also informed him that I was leaving and going to another Ford dealer in the area. No attempt to keep me engaged, no attempt to make me a customer. I did own and operate my a few of my own business and even a Pre-owned car lot for a few years and I never let a customer walk on to our lot with out being greeted within a minute if it was raining or snowing and the customer didn't have a umbrella we lent them one if it was cold we offered coffee and tea, if it was hot we offered cold water. We made every attempt to make a deal with a customer. Didn't mater if it was the beginning of the month the middle or the end we wanted you as customer and if not customer a happy potential customer. I guess this practice is lost at Quality Auto Mall. If the Dealer Manager or Owners care enough to contact me my name and number and email are in your system. Im not saying saying that every experience will be the same yours might be better it could be worse. I'm just telling everyone about my experience. I also omitted the sales persons name(the dealership can find out who it is by simply entering my name and seeing who inputed it or contacting me) as not to spot light him publicly it is up to his supervisors to inform him of any potential need for correction. read more

Was working with Chris in pre-owned on a 2013 F150 for my 73 yr old father, who is the current owner of a Quality Auto vehicle (so much for customer loyalty). Gave $500 deposit and they sold the vehicle right from under us and didn't call to tell us. Said they have a 3 day hold policy that I was never told about throughout my communication. Of course, I didn't find out about that policy until 7 days later (today.) Last week was a Nor' Easter that caused delays with our insurance agent (which I communicated). I need a part replaced under the service contract and Jeff never calls me. I call him and he says I will order the part. He never does. I called Ford and will now go to another dealer. I gave these guys thousands of dollars for brakes, oil changes, and other items. They are weird. I drove from NY to visit them but they lost me. The dealer in Secaucus will give you 15% off parts and labor if you sign up at Costco for their plan which is free as long as you are a member. Stay away. I got my service contract for $ 1500 instead of $ 2500 from a n online dealer in Massachuessets and it covered more. It was a lincoln mercury dealer and the contract shows up on the Ford system.
