I've been ripped off by…read moreseveral mechanics in this area, including some mobile mechanic named John Newman (don't ever use him, if he's still slinking around). Marco, nor his mechanics are among them. They fixed the AC work that Newman screwed up, and even replaced the radiator that Newman destroyed for cost of parts. It's been over a year, the AC is working as well as one could expect from a 2008 Ford that's been repaired probably 10 times over it's 213k miles. More recently, my wife was in a wreck and they totaled her car. A friend talked us into buying a car with a blue title, and it's been a nightmare ever since. Marco and his his replaced the front end parts, then the AC went out, so they did that, too. All together, it's been about $6k in work. If you've ever dealt with a rebuilt car, or tried to have one fixed after extensive body damage in a wreck, it's not an exact science, which is why insurance companies total cars out so quickly. Better to just pay you for your damages vehicle, than spend (probably) way more than that, trying to get the broken parts replaced and the vehicle behaving like it should. Well, we've had to take the car back to Marco a couple of times, because the steering column kept slipping and the AC clogged. They have never asked us for another dime and they've done everything they could to support the work they've done. I'm not only incredibly happy with Marco and his crew, I trust them, as mechanics, no reservations; and I would recommend them without hesitation. People expect mechanics to be magicians, and they're not. When cars break down, or get destroyed, or whatever, sometimes it's a simple fix with little room for error. When it's big stuff, things happen. In all of my experiences with this shop, they're good at what they do and they'll stand on their work.

I was told they'd get it right in. That didn't happen. When I told them I'll take it to another shop they charged me for a engine diagnosis the but no report or no diagnose for engine problem. Called Gene at Conroe's Choice Automotive in Conroe, TX. and then went to talk directly with him at Conroe's Choice Automotive in Conroe, TX. I explained I had the truck at another shop and decided to replace the motor, as my motor had a lot of miles on it. I purchased the motor and had it shipped directly to his shop, and he could replace the motor with the re-manufactured motor. He said he could and quoted me a price that was reasonable, he also replaced a radiator with a larger cooling system. Total price was $4000.00 less than Milstead's quote even with the cost of the motor and radiator. The work was completed and 2 days later, the truck is running like a top and cooling system is not gone over the normal operating temperature for that engine. So the truck was done at the date stated and was not released until they made sure it was running right and no codes were showing. Happy so far, Thanks to Gene and mechanics.

One time we need a battery swapped out it's pretty hard to get to under the fender when we came to pick it up the fender and the will well were not put back together correctly, so I had to tell the young man at the front desk that the whole unit is loose and he copped an attitude and put it back in his shop and had his guys fix it. Another time we were here our car kept stalling. I told them that it seemed like it was the security system that needed to be rebooted, but they had to try every other option and kept the car for four days charging us almost $1000 to reboot the security system and give us a new key pad. Another time I asked him if they could check the brakes on the vehicle, cause they were acting strange and would offer them to pay for a new brake job when I get there the young man at the desk tells me that they have to charge us to look at it. Who charges to look at a vehicle's brake pads to see if they're good or not. I guess this place does and the only place that I could find that does. At this point I realized all they care about is the money they don't give a crap about the customers. When I found out, they want to charge me this astronomical price just to look at the brake pads and give me an estimate. I told them that I would come get the keys and take it somewhere else and the young man at the counter said good take it somewhere else .real professional. To everyone that reads this beware.

Turns out the converters were fine, sensor turned off on its own. The sensor light was the result of bad gasoline, once that cleared out the light went off. We researched failures of catalytic converters and the failure rate on modern cars. This is a rare event according to the major manufacturer of converters. We were really disappointed in this very expensive recommendation, as this business had great reviews.

I love this place - found it accidentally when it looked like my transmission went out and the tow truck operator for Christiansen Brothers said it might cost me around $2500 to fix - I took a chance and had it towed here - he wouldn't give me an estimate over the phone he said it might not be my transmission. It wasn't. It cost more for the towing than it did to have it fixed - and that was 2 years ago and it's still fine. Honest good work for a great price is what I've received not once but twice.
