joe's is the only place i will ever bring my car for any body work my car, period…read more joe's auto body is a small shop but i can't say enough about the quality of the work that was done, as well the ease of communication. joe took care of all of the insurance paperwork. when the insurance appraiser came, they wanted to do almost nothing to fix my car (a 2009 subaru outback that had a minor fender bender), joe was able to get them to adjust their pitifully low estimate and all of the work that needed to be done was done. i didn't have to deal with the insurance at all once i dropped my car off, and i appreciated that the car was done on time. i really like that joe's auto body is a local "mom n' pop" business and i know that when i get work done here, i am putting money back into the local community that i live in rather than some shithole like maaco where they do mediocre/poor work. the other thing i really really loved about joe's was how CLEAN it was. it's not another grossy greasy garage. when you walk in you can see his shop and you can tell right away how clean and organized he is by the way he takes care of his shop, which you don't always see if you are using a local auto body shop. you can tell joe takes a lot of pride in his work and his business and he was so nice and took care of everything. i have recommended him to friends and family and would without a doubt go back if i needed any work in the future.

Ok - so I am REALLY picky about who fixes my car. More picky than I am with say - who cuts my hair,…read moreor who does my nails. Explanation: I drive an old Saab convertible. I have been driving old Saabs for 10 years now and I love them. I could probably fix many of the problems better than a 'generic' (read: non european car specialist) mechanic. Most mechanics look at my car and laugh at me. Literally. A number of them have actually given me a ton of free service because they can't figure out the right thing to drain for a simple oil change (this has gotten me, among other things, a free transmission fluid service and a radiator flush). What this means is that when I need something big done to my nearly 20 year old car that I love dearly, I need to find someone who isn't going to make whatever problem worse than it is. Or send me home with a handful of new problems that I subsequently won't be able to afford to fix. Enter European Motorsport. Other than the guys back at home in CT who have been fixing my many Saabs for as long as I have been driving them, this is the first place I have been in the area that actually knows what they are doing, and won't rake you over the coals the way a dealer will. Don't get me wrong: This doesn't mean they're cheap. What this does mean is that you know they are fixing the problem you actually came in for, using quality (Saab or Bosch, usually) parts, and leaving happy instead of wondering how long its going to take you to notice that something is MAJORLY wrong that wasn't when you went in. For simple oil changes and the like, I usually head to a quickie, no appointment place (because planning ahead is NOT my forte) but for anything requiring a half a brain and actual experience with foreign cars, this is where my old Swedish friend comes. I feel much better knowing the person working on my car has actually seen one before! If you have a Saab, Volvo, BMW, or any other European car that needs some tlc, bring it here.

I can say that he has literally saved me $$$ doing the work that he has done. I brought in my vehicle with a check engine light on at 6:00 pm on a Friday night (yup, after the shop closed) and he worked on it for forty five minutes, fixed the wiring issue and treated me fantastically. My antenna was ripped out of my roof and there were some deep scratches and dents that needed to be repaired. My back window and brake light on the upper fin also were damaged and needed repair. Jay took great care of me and made sure that my brand new car was back to brand new condition. Matt and Joe worked on my car as well and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The repair job wasn't an easy fix as they had to take out the headliner/inside roof to be able to fix the damage. It was a big job and was a lot of work. Once the roof damage was fixed, they also repaired the back window and the brake light and needed to paint everything. Being without a car is certainly an inconvenience. Jay offered to set me up with a rental car. He has gone above and beyond to work with my insurance company to make sure everything was submitted correctly and paid for.
