If you're looking to buy a vehicle or get one fixed from this dealer. Let me save you the trouble. I bought a used vehicle there less than a year ago. Starting with the test drive. After being driven to an off site lot 10 minutes away to the vehicle, I mentioned a couple things didn't feel right but if they could fixed the issues I had with it we can work something out. Day of driving the vehicle home I noticed that it was certainly not fixed. Being out of state I had to get it inspected in my state within 7 days. Which it failed right off the lot. I asked for a list of what needed to be fixed to bring back to the dealer. Stan, the owner offered a loaner but couldn't get it to me in a reasonable time, so I took a day out of work to get everything taken care of. Long story short they did not complete everything they said they did in the entire 8 hours I was there. This is all after being told they would have passed the vehicle prior to me even bringing it home. Stan mentioned to me that his guys told him they fixed everything before I picked up the vehicle the first time, which clearly they did not. Stan also said that waiting 8 hours that all work was completed, which was also not true. Stan lied from day one about the vehicle and what has been done to it. A few weeks later after getting the work done, one of the things being the rotors that had chunks missing from it. While on the road, one of the calipers, yes the caliper from one of the brakes they actually did, just fell off. At this point I just didn't want to deal with them anymore. Since then in the last couple months I had an electrical issue which stoped the vehicle from being able to accelerate. I took it to a different garage to get fixed along with the other brakes and rotors that Stan and his "trusty team" was suppose to take care of the day I took a day off to get it done the first time. This new garage I took it to, worked on the electrical issue, then noticed the drive shaft for my 4-wheel was about to break off so he removed it. When I asked about the severity of that happening I was told "if you were going down the highway and that happed, you and your family would be dead" he didn't charge me anything to have it removed and gave me instruction on where and how I can do it if I didn't want to pay to have it done. Stan lied to sell me a very dangerous vehicle that if not caught would have killed me and my family. I'm in the middle of figuring out how to get rid of it since it no longer meets Lemmon law. If you don't care about your family or wanna buy something to get rid of that pesky neighbor of yours, stop on by and see Stan at Newton automotive and Sales, where the only inventory they show on their site are the higher value vehicles such as Audi, BMW, Ferrari, land rovers and more. A few months ago,, after trying to get my oil changed at Valvoline (they said I had non standard screw in the oil thingy) I came here knowing the previous owner of my car came here for years. I pulled up and they had my oil changed super fast, no appointment! They have comfy couches for you to sit at while they work on your car. I returned this last week for rear brake pads, I couldn't afford rotors at the time. I dealt with Joseph, same as before he was super nice, no appointment and I was in and out very quick, maybe an hour. They are honest. I bought a used vehicle from this dealership on 10/18/19. I was sold an extended warranty at the time of sale. Per emails from the dealership on, 10/12/19, 10/14/19, and 10/15/19, I was told multiple times that the warranty covers everything that the factory warranty covers. The extended warranty contract states it is an extension of the manufacturer's warranty. I brought the car to my mechanic on 1/10/20 due to the vehicle leaking in my driveway for some time. Three leaks were discovered: * Suspension System was leaking due to a broken and missing clamp. The claim was denied by Freedom Warranty inspector because he felt a new clamp could easily repair the issue. * Transmission lines were leaking. Claim was denied due to Freedom Warranty inspector feeling the lines were only seeping and not leaking. * Rear Differential was leaking. Claim was denied due to Freedom Warranty inspector stating this was an old repair that pre-dated my warranty contract, meaning per the warranty company, the vehicle was sold to me needing a major repair. I tried cancelling the warranty with the warranty company and I was told I had to cancel through the dealership, even though my contract is between myself and Freedom Warranty, and dealership has nothing to do with the warranty contract at this time. I was also told there is a cancellation fee that I was not notified of ahead of time and not in the contract. I tried contacting owner of the dealership and have not received a response. I contacted the salesman Olek, but have not made any progress in the two months time. I have been told he will talk to someone and call me the following day, but I get no response. read more

Buying a car should be fun. It should be stress-free. Most of all, it should be transparent. It should be more than just a transaction - it should be the start of a mutually benefitting relationship between you and the Dealer. Now, before I rave about my incredible experience at Stan's/Newton Automotive and with Olek, Zach, Sonia, and Joseph, let me give you some context as to what actually brought me to these guys in the first place... One Saturday afternoon, I went to see a Used SRT Grand Cherokee listed on the website of a popular family Jeep dealership "chain" on Route 1, whose name I will spare, and that I have done business with for years. Four things went WRONG during my time there: 1) They told me I couldn't drive it 2) The truck was in very below average condition 3) It was not fairly priced 4) They refused to give me what my Trade was fairly worth (which was also a Jeep) I was not treated as a serious buyer. I couldn't shake this constant feeling of "disrespect," and I simply didn't want to purchase a product that I felt was not worth the price they wanted. They wouldn't give me the deal that I felt was fair for the truck, and for my Trade, plain and simple. So, I left. Honestly, after that, I didn't feel like continuing to shop; I had the wind blown right out of my sails. Something compelled me to check CarGurus one last time. I saw another SRT with the same mileage, in a much more desirable color, and in what appeared to be astounding condition, at Stan's in Newton. I read the Yelp reviews and these guys seemed legit. After giving them a call that I would be down to check out the truck, I arrived and was greeted by Olek, who took the SRT out of the showroom and tossed me the keys. "Go. Take all the time you need with the truck, it's a ton of fun. Take your time and let me know what you think." I replied, "Wait, you sure? You don't want to come wi..." "No, just go. Take your time and make sure it's what you want, we'll talk after." I didn't expect that. On top of that immediate sense of respect and trust from Olek, I hopped inside and the truck was in 100x better condition than the other one (the one I was I was told I could not drive just an hour earlier). I loved the truck, and returned. "So, tell me about the car." Olek told me everything. How not only they rigorously inspected and serviced the truck at their adjacent service shop, but also at a Jeep dealer, and another service shop as well, to make sure it was ready to roll off the showroom floor and not give whoever bought it any headaches. I was sold. This was the best-condition SRT with its mileage, for the most fair price. Then, Olek walked with me over to where my Trade-In was parked. "How much do you want for it?", he said. I replied, "Hmm, well, based on its condition and mileage, the fair trade-in book value is $xxxx, so that's what I'd like to get." "You got it." I was shocked, just like that, he gave me what I felt my Trade was fairly priced, on the spot. No bartering. No unreasonable gouging on my end, no "hmm, ehhh, that's a bit high" on his end. To think that, just 1 hour prior, I had to FIGHT and BARTER and STRESS over the previous "family chain" Jeep dealer refusing to give me what my Trade-In was worth, and Olek wiped away that memory with those 3 words. Olek texted me right after we agreed on the Trade and SRT, and he talked me through getting the SRT officially mine all that week. Zach, their Finance Manager, walked me through all the Trade and finance stuff with ease that week as well. My Trade was in my dad's name (I got it back when I was in high school), but he facilitated that on his end without a hitch - keeping me posted via text and quick responses. Sonia was awesome too - she helped get my insurance stuff situated with my local agent for the SRT, with virtually no legwork on my end whatsoever. On my SRT's delivery day, Olek, Zach, Joseph (the Owner), and myself all chatted it up about cars for a half hour like we'd been friends for years. THAT is the feeling you should experience at the dealer - like you and they can talk back and forth about anything, with full transparency, and not feel pressured, stressed, or like you got a bad deal. I came out KNOWING I got the best deal for my Trade and the best deal for my new car. Now, Olek and Zach and I text and converse informally almost daily - something I have never experienced with any dealer before - and the relationship has just begun. Brought a used bmw and financed with them and paid a $2k as a down payment, and they did a switch and jack up the price on paper and also said I never put a down payment. I end up paying a extra $4.5k due to Stan switching paper. Not even 2 week after the car have issue and I took it to a mechanic and he did a checkup, found out the car transmission is all crack up and need replacing and not safe to drive. The mechanic said this is old damage and the car frame is breaking apart, and it's not worth it to fix since it will cost more then the car worth. He told me even if I fix transmission, the bottom frame of the car is too weak and it would only last 1-2 month before I have to spend more money to fix it. I Called back and talk to Stan and he said I damage the car and try to blame him, I Told him he sold me a defect car and lied about them putting $2k repair to fix the car. not only that but he switch paper and I end up paying a extra $2.5k on a jack up price compare to what I originally agree upon. Also they stole my $2k down payment and said I never did a down payment. Maybe because I'm Asian and they want to take advantage of me. The guy even swear at me and called me names and hung up the phone and refuse to do anything. If you buy used from them you need a mechanic to look at the car before you buy for damage. I hate buying cars. I think the process is broken at best and crooked at worst. No matter what, I always feel like I'm getting ripped off. I hate it so much that I've leased a new Jeep Wrangler three times in a row over 10 years just so I didn't have to deal much with the process. Just roll it into the next one and move on. This time around though I wanted something different. After a lot of research, I decided on a used BMW X5. I contacted several dealers who all had similar cars. And since I don't like dealing with dealers, I didn't answer my phone when they called back. I just listened to the messages to see who sounded honest. Olek sounded honest. So I called him back. He was a good guy on the phone and really knew his stuff. So I went. He was a better guy in person. We drove a lot of cars that day and he answered every stupid question I had. He talked me out of more expensive cars that weren't going to fit my needs. They helped me sell my Jeep off lease to Carmax, turning what was going to be $2K in fees for mileage overage into a $1.5K profit for me. When swapping my vanity plates from a lease to an owned car became challenging, they cashed in a personal favor at RMV to make it happen. When the front brake light came on after I bought it, they replaced all four brake pads for free because it was the right thing to do. They were fair and honest and cared more about the long term relationship on their business than they did a few extra short term dollars. In short, they changed how I feel about buying a car. Wow. In a single bound, Stan--one of the new/two owners of Newton Automotive aka Stan's Automotive Inc.--has changed the automatic stereotype of used car salesmen in my book. Honest, fair, and the opposite of pushy, Stan is someone my family will look to do business with again and again. Six months ago, our 20-year-old (yes, TWENTY-year-old) Toyota Camry was finally gasping its last breath. With a preschooler and newborn now rounding out our crew, we knew it was time to upgrade...but we couldn't possibly afford a new car. Enter Stan & Newton Auto. Though we were looking for a decent used minivan at a reasonable price, what we found with Stan was an impeccably maintained 2010 Toyota Sienna with all the bells and whistles we never dreamed of searching for. Looking via USAA's (awesome, incredibly trustworthy) carbuying service, we stumbled across this car, and thereby, Stan and his team. We braced ourselves for the initial call to inquire about the car, anticipating all the unflattering stereotypes of a used car outfit. Instead, we were relieved to find his zero-pressure salesman/finance manager, Zach, on the opposite end of the line, who instantly put us at ease. He told us that Stan only picks up "clean" cars (aka cars without a shady past/history of accidents, etc) for resale at his shop. There was no opportunity to negotiate, but that didn't matter, as Consumer Reports had already told us the price of this model/year/condition was below market value, and to be honest, not having to haggle was yet another relief for these two sleep-deprived parents, newly juggling the joys and challenges of two tiny children. A test drive sealed the deal--the Sienna was just as awesome as presented online--and soon, we were the proud owners of our first real family car. Zach and Stan made the process easy, handling the registration paperwork and expediting things as much as they possibly could. Though a tire pressure alert light caused us some concern during the test drive, Stan assured us if we had any issue with it post-sale, he would make it right. And he stood by that--even when our overburdened, overwhelmed plates caused days to become weeks and even months before we could fully address it. Six months later, we can't imagine life without our beloved all-wheel-drive (!) Sienna, and we still can't believe our good fortune at finding Stan, Zach, and Newton Automotive. (Bonus that they also provide full auto repair services if we ever have that need!) We're keeping an eye on our other aging-but-hanging-in-there car, and when it ultimately moves on, we know where to look for a great deal and great service. There's the carlessness and the terrifying phone call with the quote and the threat of undiscovered problems and the general untrustworthiness of the standard issue mechanic. You know it's true. I myself had just such an occurrence recently when my fan belt snapped on a routine turn up Day Street to the Davis Starbucks. I barely got to the Midas on Mass Ave in time. Some poking around later, it turned out that I needed over $1000 worth of belts and labor...and an extra $650 for a little gas trickle they discovered mid-surgery. Do the belts, I conceded, but let me work up to the gas leak. Well, turns out leaking gas can only be ignored for so long. But I wasn't going to take $650 lying down. I ran it by my trusted Direct Tire contingent, who directed me to Mark and Jack across the street. It was here that I got a friendly, no-nonsense evaluation (while we stared up at my incontinent car, dribbling a guilty yellow puddle from atop its hydraulic perch onto their clean concrete floor), and a bend-over backwards to make sure I paid for as little extra work as possible. And when I ran to catch the 504 and consequently ran right back looking for an ATM (stupid limited Boston MBTA linkpass), Jack actually reached into his own pocket and offered me the $3.50 to get downtown. Grand total after two days, fixed leak, oil change, tightened breaks, and inspection sticker? $265. Suck it, Midas. For better or for worse, this baby is staying on the road another 15 years. read more

My second car ourchase with Newton Automotive. Buying the first car 18 months ago, I could have considered myself lucky, the sales guy was having a good day, I was the last customer of the day, he wanted to please his last client, the finance guy was happy as he was going for a vacation and the luck factor could have played a huge role in my purchase even if the truth of the matter is that those guys are real pros. Yet, the second purchase had a bar set pretty high, it needed to be an as good or even better experience than the first car. Hard to beat considering it was great the first time around. Well, they did not have to play any role, they had the same approach, open and honest, told me the good, bad and ugly upfront and never pushed me to purchase anything. Their cars are in real good shape, they buy them as if it would be theirs. Joseph has great insight, Olek is honest to a fault and Zach will always go above and beyond to find you the best deal. I went here to get my car inspected after reading so many positive reviews online. I don't know much about cars, so I was hoping for friendly people and a simple explanation of what was going on. My car failed both the safety and emissions portion of the test, and the guy refused to explain to me why. He told me that if I wanted an explanation, he would have to charge me for an official diagnosis. Now I may not know much, but I find that to be completely unacceptable and rude. All I wanted was an overview of what went wrong so that I could go get it fixed. After making the necessary repairs, I went back for my retest. Even though I had called ahead and was told that there would be time to see me later that day, I was abruptly refused service when I arrived at the shop. I work full time and had left work early specifically to come get my car re-inspected because I had been told there would be time. To make matters worse, he told me that they did not do appointments. So I guess now I just have to keep leaving work early and showing up, hoping that he will be able to see me. But I suspect that he is just going to keep turning me away, because of how rude he was to me. Needless to say I will never be going back to this store once my inspection drama is over, and I came on here to write this review to alert others so that they would not fall into the same trap. read more

They take care of everything and don't hesitate to recommend them to friends. Joseph, one of the owners, is very friendly and even shares his mobile phone number so you can reach him as needed. Okay, so i went for an inspection at another place. Some on the VFW if you must know. He found a couple if things, and i was not really convinced. Stan (one of the owners) was very helpful and let us try the cars we were interested in (or intrigued by), going out of his way to help and never pressuring us. Olek talked to us extensively about the cars we were looking at, their technical features and their pros and cons, again very helpful and also very knowledgeable. The only reason we did NOT buy a car here, is that the car we loved wasn't comfortable for my back; and the car I was comfortable in, I didn't love... You can tell both Joesph and Stan strive for perfection and take pride in the work that they do. My car was unexpectedly detailed inside and out and they made it feel better than brand new.
