We have an old home and since the hurricanes in 2018 our fireplace had been leaking quite badly every time it rained. Grey evaluates our situation and gave honest recommendations. For example, he used the best material for repair but this requires a certain environmental temperature to set and become strong. He let us know the best time to do this was on a dry warm day, which was about 4 weeks from the time of our initial conversation. In the meantime, he came over to do a temporary prepaid to keep water out of our home - free of charge. His price for the actual repair was very reasonable as well. If we have further issues with our other chimneys or if my friends do, I will defiantly recommend Fireman's choice.

Clean chimney removed and then replaced both the cement crown and stucco coating and added a stainless steal cap as well as removing/replacing surrounding shingle and flashing. They returned a month later and put a sealant on the new stucco. The work was not cheap but absolutely phenomenal. It looks like a brand new chimney completely sealed once again. absolute scam of a company. to begin the guy shows up in an unlabeled minivan. sweeps the chimney…read moreand recommends there is structural damage to the chimney. we listen and pay the $650 quoted and are told it's good to go, looking at the invoice, we notice it's under a different company (five duct cleaning). we light a fire 2 days later and the house fills with smoke. we call the company number back (919) 910-3126 to figure out what's going on and its just a call center that says the manager will call back in 3-5 minutes... they didn't it took 3 days of calling to have someone come out and it used a different number (336) 565-7418 which is associated with "five star duct cleaning" a 1 star company that has multiple fraud allegations on yelp. we finally get the same technician to come out and hey says its fine must be the wood, so we light a fire with him there and what do you know the house is filled with smoke a second time, he has no new recommendation or ideas. also, he didn't know what a fire starter log is lol. after all this we call multiple times to find the owner of the company to try and get new recommendation or a partial refund. he quoted saying "yeah he`s not our most reliable technician but I can have someone else come out and try to fix it for another $900". we fight him a little and said we'd prefer just a partial refund or could get the credit card company involved which he said, "we have had about 150 costumers try that and i normally win". so, we agree for a partial refund which 2 weeks later they never sent. before the company says we don't have the email associated with any services it was under my wife's email. defiantly a scam with bot reviews, please research before using this company unlike me

However, there were lighting fixtures lining the sidewalk that they pulled and after the fact, I noticed some of the stakes were broken. These were left piled up and not re-inserted in ground. The crew was definitely in a hurry to leave.

A tree unexpectedly took down my power line on a Saturday and pulled the entire power meter and pole off my house. Since it was a weekend my usual electrician wasn't available and he recommended Volt Doctors. Their 24 hr dispatcher immediately answered and they had an electrician on site within two hours on a Saturday evening. Erik, helped get my generator running and hooked up, and an hour after that I had an estimate and repair plan in hand. On Sunday and Monday Summer was in frequent contact with updates and by Monday afternoon the repair was complete and good as new! The job came in under the projected time and under budget, so they reduced the cost to the real hours worked. I can't speak highly enough about Volt Doctors, THIS is how you run a business!

This involved rerunning some of the current can lighting to account for removing two previous lights. I had gotten a few quotes from various companies, a few in-person estimates from people who just didn't seem to know what they were talking about as well. However, Dayton, not only was able to quote based on my photos, his in-person quote came in exactly the same and was one of the most reasonable ones we got. He is extremely knowledgeable, was happy to walk me through everything he was doing, made sure to check and double check exactly where I wanted all the new lights, and kept me updated throughout the few hours he was here. After everything was done, the space was clean and all the lights exactly where I wanted them. He went out of his way to deal with funky wiring without missing a beat, and even clearly labeled all the wiring so we were able to install the remainder of the lights in the new holes (we had ceiling work done ater the fact so we waited to install a few ourselves) with NO confusion at all. All in all, i definitely recommend Dayton of Ambidex for your electrical needs. We have a few other projects down the pipeline and some wonky (original builder grade) wiring issues elsewhere, and we'll definitely not hesitate to contact Dayton for all future work!
