Under new ownership ! I'll miss the old owner ! This upgrade is awesome though ! So clean and spacious! We tried the sandwich and it was loaded and bomb !! Then coffee and donuts for dessert duh ! My new fav local business spot for lunch

    Lots of apples.

So I had to take a detour due to some traffic stoppage on 880 and lucky me, Quality was open! I went in looking for the apple fritter and instead got an apple filled bear claw. They were out of fritters but is even better! The dough is very light and their apple filling must be homemade or of a very high quality because of the flavor of the apples. They are just tart enough and have some al denteness to them. I'm trying to watch my weight so I ate about half but oh man did I want to devour the whole thing. Please stop and support this hole in the wall business. Easy to park right in front and I would say the price is reasonable. $3 for this huge bear claw.

Fresh traditional donut shop along a busy section of Edwards. Kind of a hole in wall look from the outside...inside is really clean. Ordered donut holes that did not disappoint. Very reasonably priced and everything looked good.

    Picture says it all.

I've driven past this place for the last 3 months on my way to work. I haven't stopped in because I'm usually just about on-time to work. However I was craving donuts as made a conscious effort to leave a little early to try this place out, also I had heard that this place had gotten broken into and robbed. Not cool for mom and pop places. I got there and my go to in the donut arena is usually jelly filled donuts and french crullers though a lot of places don't make/have them. The staff are sweet and nice. You can tell the early risers had already been in and they are were restocking the donut window. It's not a fancy place, but like they say, location is everything. The jelly donuts were huge, so I opted for two raspberry filled, a regular twist and sugar donute. Last minute decided on 1/2 donut holes cuz they were enormous. Since it was my first time there and a lot of the co-workers go there, she apparently gave me some extra donut holes. The donuts were fresh and the jelly was a good amount. Will be back.

I recommend the apple fritters. They are humongous & worth every cent! I ate one in three sittings. So fresh!

This is a great place for doughnuts, they only accept cash and if you go in the morning you'll see people pan handling by the door.

The sandwiches also sounded unique, so we ended up getting the Willow and Kimchi Chicken. The staff was very helpful and patient with helping us pick. I wasn't sure about the Kimchi, but it was well-balanced with a light kimchi spread. I appreciate the Asian inspired flavors and love supporting a local business. The bread is always fresh and it's a hefty portion ( I always split my sandwich into two). It's generally a quick to go order spot but you might have to wait just a little bit ( under 10 minutes). My go to order is always number 13. Meatball and egg is my favorite but I've had a bunch of their other options and they're all solid. Right as you enter the store there are also a variety of drinks and sweet treats you can pick up as well. They're only open Friday through Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., so I finally made the trip out on a Friday and arrived around 9:30 a.m. It was already fairly busy, and it only got more packed while I waited for my order so I would strongly recommend getting there before 9 a.m. or phoning your order in ahead of time. I ordered 4 sandwiches total, and it took somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes for everything to be ready, but both the #2 Special Combo Ham and the #13 Meatball and Egg were absolutely fantastic and well worth the wait. The #2 is how I benchmark a good banh mi, and this place really delivered. The pate was out of this world, the sandwich was piled high with delicious cold cuts, loaded with perfectly pickled veggies and jalapeños, and stuffed into a roll that had the perfect balance of a crisp exterior and pillowy interior. The #13 seemed to be a popular choice as well and for good reason. It had all the same great attributes as the #2, but with the pate and cold cuts replaced by a sweet and savory crumbled meatball paired with a perfectly soft boiled egg. It was every bit as satisfying and delicious and had such a different flavor profile to the #2, which I really appreciated. It is not in the best neighborhood and the hours are painfully tight, especially if you want to avoid a long wait, but the end product is absolutely worth it, in my opinion. And at $6 to $7 per sandwich, the value is still a good value, even if it is a far cry from the $4-6 range that it seemed to hover in for a long time.

Fowl + Fare operates from a small storefront right next to the Shanvi Indian Grocery store on Santa Clara Ave (near Broadway). This place is either takeout or eat outside on picnic tables. I took my food to-go. I had the Citric Hot Chicken Sandwich w/ Seasoned Fries. I liked the Citric Hot Chicken Sandwich. It was spicy, but not numbing hot. The slaw sort of smoothed out the spicy heat. It's made from thigh meat, so it's moist and easy to eat. I didn't like the seasoned fries. They cut the potatoes into thin fries that don't travel well as takeout. Probably okay if you ate them right there, fresh from the kitchen. If I go back, I'm just getting a sandwich.....no fries.
