Room was clean and quiet. Staff was nice. Had a blanket that wasn't a cotton sheet so that's a big bonus in my book.

(Stay away from this place) thought I would get a place close to airport since I just flew in and it was convenient worst mistake of my life! Worst hotel experience of my life I come home for the weekend to stay at this hotel only to find cockroaches running around the room. Do not stay here it's a real shit hole! This is clearly a hotel that has seen better days with an owner who doesn't want to spend a dime to improve it. It needs to have a full renovation soon before it gets downbranded to OYO. In the morning, there was no hot water for a shower. The piston on the desk chair was broken so that it would not stay elevated. There was a crack in the wall plate for the light switch in the batch. The TV was useless; the screen was smaller than the mini-fridge door and no channels were programmed in meaning trying to find a program was hit-and-miss. Good luck navigating the parking lot on foot in the winter; the owner is too cheap to have it salted so there's ice everywhere. The scrambled eggs and sausage at breakfast were the only bright point in my stay. The indoor pool was closed; it appeared there was some sort of film on the surface of the water. We were there for a family wedding so we didn't spend much time in the room. But the next morning when we woke up, we noticed bugs on the bed. I have called several times to talk to a manager but one is never available and they never return my phone call. read more

Where do I begin??? This is going to be a long review so here goes!! There were 2 people checking guests in, 1 of them was overwhelmed and the other just kept making excuses as to why we had to wait for our room... check-in is 3pm, we arrived at 430pm.. Supposedly it was being cleaned again because it didn't pass the standards of "clean and guest ready" While we were waiting , at least 4 other families were waiting 30+min for their rooms also as hotel was short staffed with housekeeping . While we waited I decided to get concert ready but no guest bathroom available in lobby so tried curling my hair in hallway on a jangky outlet! 2 housekeeping staff came to elevator near where I was with a basket like you would see at a laundromat with "clean" linen .. it was all bunched up like they just pulled it off another bed or possibly the dryer(hopefully) 45 min later our room was ready, on the 1st floor where we've been waiting and never once did housekeeping come from that hallway other than the 2 I saw going upstairs!! Finally got in our very dark room , lighting not so good but enough to see that room is very outdated, which is fine but definitely did not feel clean like other places we've stayed in . Thank Goodness I brought a tub of Clorox wipes!! We wiped down the handles, toilet, etc... Had to leave for concert so when we got back turned on the couple of lights and our phone lights to check beds... oh boy!! NO BUGS Thank God BUT sheet & comforter were stained ! luckily there was another bed! Sheets were fine but comforter had seen better days! Needless to say we slept on that one. When morning came I was nervous to see towels for showering but those were actually white and clean!! We get what we pay for but this by far was the worst experience I've ever had! This hotel is unsafe, filthy, and run by an abusive manager with short man syndrome . AJ Patel never resolved a single issue -- instead, he mocked me (a domestic violence survivor simply seeking safe shelter) when I asked for help, then retaliated the next morning with harassment: loud door banging, repeated angry calls, and even calling the police -- all because I left an honest review that bruised his ego. Using the police as conflict resolution is the mark of a weak leader, sir. Respect is earned -- not demanded. The WiFi is a joke -- constantly dropping, causing double charges without booking confirmation. I spent my entire stay fighting to fix their mistakes while they refused to assist. The pet fee was what he ended up deciding was why I had to leave, Expedia lists it as $35 per stay which was paid at check in where I showed what Expedia quoted. They honored it at first until Patel had to actually work. No hotel that small charges anywhere near $35 a day. I am still missing over $200 from double charges and incorrect billing -- a direct result of Mr. Patel's complete lack of management skills. The appropriate parties have been notified of this abusive, discriminatory behavior. I got PTSD from this rat hole. Came around 1:30am very tired. Room smells bad, indoor furniture inside. Pillow covers and everything on the bed is not changed and smells! I spotted a lot of marks on it! I slept with my clothes on and I put my hoodie on my head to avoid not catch something! The Indian guy was totally uninterested in his work at the front desk. Doing the breakfast half things are missing! Trash was full and only place to put trash is to put around, trash is on the tables almost on all! The guy from the front desk, clean one table and left many others he just passed through and he left trash full lol I never saw that bad service in my life. read more

I was horrified by the room !!! This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had and I travel a lot!! The room was filthy hair in the bed, stains on the sheets, and an overwhelming sense that it hadn't been cleaned properly in ages. We got three rooms and they were all dirty. It was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else. This hotel is disgusting! We had 4 rooms and it was consistently dirty! Bedding was blood stained. Pool closed since April 2024 by Health Department and had scum floating on it. Ceilings have drywall tape hanging from them, peep holes covered up, reeks of smoke, etc. dismantled smile detector, and hallway alarms beeping. Vending machines have expired food. Many people running around back of hotel in the middle of the night. A great deal of activity in hotel all night. Front desk individual is rude. Owner refuses to address issues and/or problems. I honestly wish I could give it no stars. I will never stay at another quality inn again. When we arrived all 3 of us, myself my SO and our son, were drop down tired so when the not so pleasant youth that Checked us in said the pool was out of order I (unlike the kiddo) was not to upset. So we hopped in the ....elevator... better known as the frightening death trap that lurches jerks and makes terrible sounds, I was swearing by the time we hit the 3rd floor I'd take the damn stairs. We got to our room, looks like a fairly average if outdated typical double queen room. With a small microwave, mini fridge and coffee pot. The room was very warm so I turned on the AC thinking it would cool down pretty fast and we all got ready for bed. I went to climb in bed and realized the AC wasn't blowing, so I went to double check it. I got it blowing and was like ok it'll cool down soon... So we climb in bed and we all passed out pretty quick, I however got woken up around 3am with freaking roach climbing up my arm!! EWWWWW (que flashbacks to horrible experience as a child with a bug climbing in my ear) I checked the bed and tried to go back to sleep but the room was sooooo freaking hot!! So I checked the AC AGAIN it was still blowing but not cold air (yes I checked the settings). I tried to go back to sleep but at this point I was awake enough to realize that my back and hips were causing me far to much discomfort to even try to sleep. So I decided on a hot shower in hopes it would help.... no go there was literally zero hot water. After a nice icy cold shower which made my incredibly painful back so much worse I tried sleep again, but it was just to hot so I decided screw it, coffee it is!! But alas....THE DAMN COFFEE POT DIDNT WORK.... Now I can forgive alot... but no coffee?!?! So I decided enough was enough and decided to head down and chat with the front desk. I get to the stair doors (no rolling death trap for me!!) The damn fire alarm goes off!! With a crap ton of strobe lights... and me without having taken my seizure meds because agai. ... NO COFFEE... I barely make it back to my room... So I decided to call down instead, seeing now the guys are wide awake.... and get informed rather rudely by I'm sure the same young man who checked us in, that someone burnt toast.... I give the same vibe i get so i responded oh, so the whole hotel needed to know? At which je hung up on me. At this point, at oh dark and icky i was like screw it, we are outta here so we get our stuff and head down the stairs. Where the oh so helpful and professional young man in his anemie hoodie finally meets me at the front desk and gives me attitude the whole time he was checking me out, gave me the receipt for the wrong room then gave me snark as we were leaving... We had reserved just a normal king size room, but when we went to check in there was no room for us. We got upgraded to a suite. Go to the second floor where the suite was. The room was not vacuumed and didn't have extra blankets for the pullout bed. Left for awhile then came back to puke up & down the stairs and the hallway, very gross. The whole hotel smelled like weed even in our room. Told the front desk and they did nothing. Then we go to check out and they charged us twice. The manager is a joke, she was no help at all. Still have yet to get my money back for the second charge. Do not recommend. This hotel is a joke. read more

Drive up without reservations. My wife got us a suite room fir 75 bucks. The rooms, hallways were clean. It has an indoor pool but no hot tub Hot breakfast in the morning and coffee available in the rooms or in the buffet area 24 hours a day. Lots of plug ins and USB's in the room to charge all the accessories of this modern age. Easy access to the airport so I could get up early and catch the South Shore Line into Chicago and get a early jump on the days events. read more

Used to stay here all the time and they where assholes took a couple months off came back the bathroom door wouldn't close i fixed that woke up around 10 cleaned up took the garbage out got a coffee went and asked about breakfast which is a frozen burrito and a muffin its until 930 so i was late but its sunday and i am not checking out today.the pool has been closed for months supposedly for covid yet the places i been staying have pools.what pisses me off is the far piece of shit behind the counter acted as if he was paying for the breakfast himself.just another reason to not come here again read more

My first time staying at Quality Inn! The service was a best! It has a full breakfast buffet. So clean & the staff is very friendly. Close to South Bend Airport / Train Station, and South Bend Transpo bus stop. Plus indoor swimming pool. I will be coming back! read more

We stayed here for the Sunburst Marathon. Believe it or not, it was the only cheapest hotel that was in a safe hotel with average reviews. I use to work in a hotel, so I knew they increased their prices with all that is going on that weekend. This is why I have them 4 stars. It was overpriced. 90.00 even with a discount (this included tax). We were only their for one night. The room was clean though, other runners were there so no hobos, coffee downstairs was good, and it seemed like the swimming pool indoors was well kept. read more

Not much Quality at this Inn: cramped room, beat up furniture, broken toilet flusher, non-working TV remote, mediocre breakfast. Best that can be said is it is close to the airport. So are others nearby that might be a better choice. read more

Mother of the Groom Approved! My son was married in the SB area last weekend. We had a block of rooms for our guests. We eventually ended up having 22 rooms. Our guests had no complaints and all enjoyed their stay. Manager Ron was very accommodating of our needs. We were able to use a meeting room for a hospitality suite for the guests. That was a wonderful bonus to our stay. We recommend! read more

The hotel shows it has a hot tube but there isnt one, first room they check me into had a very strong smoke odor, so had to go back downstairs and have them assign me another room then the second room the tv was loose on its bracket which made the tv point to the floor and had an angle of 45% on one side so had to recall the front desk to have the manager come to fix the tv which took him a good 20 minutes to arrive and another 10 minutes to fix it. If the school didnt assign me to stay here would of definitely found another hotel to stay at. Not the quality you would expect from a Quality Inn read more

Typical 70 dollar room but what threw me was the absolute indifference of the staff. I'm a long haul trucker who was having repairs done in South Bend. This hotel had a notice there, in the drivers lounge of the repair shop, offering free shuttle service to and from the hotel. After I had booked a room over the phone I called for the shuttle. TWO hours later after having to stand outside (17 degrees) so as not to miss the van they finally arrived. The driver was rude and un-apologetic. The following morning, after being told I HAD to check out by 11:00 they again had me sit for well over two hours until someone could drive me back to the truck repair shop. They offer shuttle to and from the local airport but I wouldn't use them unless you wish to sit and wait. Would they do this to someone flying in or needing to catch a flight? I don't know but I sure wouldn't chance it. read more

Last week, my return flight to Los Angeles was canceled due to inclement weather. Thus, I has to stay overnight at the Quality Inn, merely up the road from the airport. At present, I have medical issues, so the guy from the hotel came and drove me there! (United footed the bill.) There were 2 enormous beds, possibly the best sleep I have had all year. I had to have my legs up, and there were enough pillows in the room for a teen girl pillow fight! There was an easy chair with lamp and footstool, nice view, huge shower, microwave, a medium fridge--that's right, not one of those little beer thingies. The staff could not help me enough. The room was so clean I kind of felt bad. I was actually glad my flight was canceled! (Even though it kind of messed up the following day, but it was worth it.)
