The only reason I'm giving the quality and one star is because I can't give them zero stars, it was absolutely disgusting, dirty, there was blood stains on my sheets, urine stains on the bed there was P on the toilet and floor. It smelled disgusting there was garbage still in the trash and food still crumbled up on the floor, when I called downstairs to have somebody come up and clean or get a new room there was no rooms available to switch and the housekeepers refused to come up and clean the room.

This place is gross. I realize it's an old hotel but I was both uneasy about my stay and grossed out. I found a hair in the tub, ceiling is coming off in pieces, and the places smells HEAVILY of both cigarette smoke and marijuana. All this taken into account, the staff was not friendly. If I were you, I'd keep driving the extra hour to Memphis or Tupelo to avoid this place.

The second floor ice machine is out of order and turned to face the wall.

Title: Avoid at All Costs - 14 Days of Filth and No Housekeeping…read more Staying at the Best Western New Albany, MS was an absolute nightmare. I'd rather camp in a parking lot than endure that again. No housekeeping for 14 days. Despite putting the service sign out daily, I was left to buy my own toilet paper, take out my own trash, and even vacuum my own room after cockroaches - because apparently, DIY housekeeping is part of the Best Western experience here. After escalating my concerns to the manager after 8 days of kindly requesting a clean towel and taking out my own trash, he graciously let me switch rooms (thankfully no rust stains this time) and gave me a $50 discount for that night, which didn't even cover the mattress cover I had to buy to hide the mystery stains on the mattress in the first room or the slippers required to keep my feet and socks from turning black on the carpet. Oh, and don't forget the brown, sediment-filled water that came out of the tap. I had to get bottled water just to brush my teeth. This isn't mentioning the broken fridge, construction noise, broken equipment in the gym and business center. Those are minor inconveniences. It adds to a wholistic nightmare. The cockroaches were a delightful bonus. If you're thinking of staying here, reconsider or bring your own toilet paper and vacuum. I could also save you the trouble and will happily lend you a tent.

Window curtain didn't cover window fully and wasn't attached by all of its wall mounts. - Breakfast was a better selection at the dollar store. My last Days Inn was not a good experience either. Guess this is the way they are now. And I will never stay at Days Inn again.

She was incredibly rude to my husband and shook her head at him while he was filling out paperwork for us to stay the evening. He was less than thrilled. The curtains didn't fully close, and any onlooker could easily see us, the ceiling had mold stains, and the basket with the coffee and soaps was soaked before we even touched anything... The air condition unit didn't work either. This place is not worth your time, or money.

So, if you want to stay in the newest hotel in the Memphis area and see what it is like, stay here. New features: it has a sliding door for the closet unlike I have never seen before. If you slide to the left, it closes off the bathroom. The shower is half open which you go in and stand behind a glass. There's no door. In the King Suite, there is a couch that is big enough for someone to make a bed out of. Big flat screen tv is attached to the wall. All the lights are new 2020 updated lighting. Anyway, I used my Choice Hotels App to stay here for free. It only costs me 8000 points. Considering this is a $90 night hotel, I got a good deal. I walk up to check in, tell them I have a reservation and give them my name. They say " you using your points? " and I say yes. Then, they ask the most annoying question which I hate hotels to asks me. " What brings you here". What a nosy question. Why can't they just give me my digital key so I can go. I enjoyed my hotel stay. The room was real nice. In fact, I think this is the best hotel I have stayed at. Everything is new and clean and updated in today's society. Yes, I highly recommend this hotel if you stay in the Memphis area. It's worth driving a little out of your way if you ask me.

What I Didn't Like About This Hotel…read more Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. From the moment I arrived until the time I checked out, there were numerous issues that negatively impacted my experience. The staff was very rude and often unavailable when assistance was needed. There was rarely anyone at the front desk, and when I needed help, I had difficulty reaching someone. I called the front desk from my room five times before anyone answered. When I finally spoke with a staff member, I explained the concerns I was having with the room. He informed me that he would come by at 7:00 a.m. the following morning to inspect the room and address the issues I had reported. Unfortunately, I never heard from him again. No one followed up, and there was absolutely no communication regarding my concerns. Upon entering the room, there was only one set of towels provided, despite my children and I being guests in the room. When we went to shower, we discovered unknown hair in the shower, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness. To make matters worse, there appeared to be old blood stains on the bed sheets. This was both disturbing and unacceptable. The room had several maintenance issues as well. The bathroom sink was clogged and would not drain properly. Only one electrical outlet seemed to function in the bathroom. The bathroom light switch had been damaged, and one side appeared to have been cut or sawed off, exposing visible wiring. If someone was not paying attention, this could potentially be a serious safety hazard. The room phone sat on the table unplugged and completely unusable. The clock was also nonfunctional, with the cord simply wrapped around it rather than plugged into a power source. It appeared as though both items were placed in the room merely for appearance rather than actual use. The toilet emitted a loud whistling noise throughout the night, making it difficult to rest. The pillows were uncomfortable and provided very little support. The bathroom towels were extremely thin, with loose threads hanging from them and visible holes throughout. They appeared worn out and in desperate need of replacement. The elevators were another concern. They felt extremely hot and stuffy, with little to no ventilation. Each time I rode the elevator, it felt uncomfortable and poorly maintained. My colleague, who was staying in the room next to mine, experienced issues with the air conditioning. The unit was not functioning properly, forcing them to leave their room door open after midnight due to the heat. Maintenance did not finish working on the unit until after 1:00 a.m., resulting in loud banging and repair noises late into the night. I was also very dissatisfied with the hotel's payment process. My card was charged twice during my stay. The hotel places a deposit hold on your card when you book the room and then charges the full amount again when you arrive. This was never properly explained beforehand. As a result, I was charged double the amount during my stay. When I attempted to get clarification from the staff, the explanation was delivered in a rude and dismissive manner rather than with professionalism and courtesy. The vending machines only accept cash, which was inconvenient and not clearly communicated. Guests should be aware that debit cards are not accepted. The cleanliness of the carpet was particularly alarming. I never walk barefoot on hotel carpets, so after my shower I put on a clean pair of gray footies. By the time I got into bed, the bottoms of my footies looked as though I had walked through asphalt. The amount of dirt collected from the carpet was shocking and indicated that the flooring had not been properly cleaned. While I did enjoy the waffles at breakfast, the breakfast options overall were very limited. Guests may want to bring their own protein snacks or additional breakfast items if they expect a more substantial meal. The final interaction with staff confirmed my disappointment. When I explained how dissatisfied I was with my stay, the staff member looked at me without any empathy, threw his hands in the air, and walked away. There was no apology, concern, or attempt to resolve any of the issues I experienced. I traveled eight hours away from home because of a family emergency and hoped for a comfortable place where my children and I could rest during a difficult time. Instead, this hotel added unnecessary stress and frustration to an already challenging situation. Overall, my entire stay was horrible. Between the poor customer service, cleanliness concerns, maintenance problems, uncomfortable accommodations, communication failures, and billing issues, I would never stay at this establishment again. If you simply need a place to sleep and leave immediately, this hotel may be sufficient. However, if you value cleanliness, comfort, customer service, safety, and professionalism, I strongly recommend choosing another hotel.

The elevators have been broken for months, leaving only one in service. It's a safety hazard and a blatant ADA violation waiting to happen. Elderly guests, people with disabilities, and staff are forced to wait for ages or climb stairs while management pretends it's not their problem. Maybe an ADA investigation is the only thing that will finally get them to care. The casino floor? Dead. No payouts, no energy, no life. Machines are tighter than a vault and about as exciting as a morgue. The staff look miserable, clearly beaten down by leadership that gives zero concern for morale or guests. Then there's the food -- if you can call it that. The restaurant and steakhouse are an insult. My steak smelled so foul it was actually nauseating -- like rancid meat and dirty gym socks. It was disgusting, and management usually doesnt even blink. Typically No apology, no replacement, no basic decency. Just indifference. They took the steak off the bill for once but I didnt even eat any of it it was so disgusting. The entire property is dirty, outdated, and depressing. Stained carpets, broken fixtures, and an overwhelming feeling that no one in charge has lifted a finger in months. It's honestly unsafe and unsanitary. Their "1 Star Rewards" program couldn't be more fitting -- because that's exactly the experience you'll get: 1 star service, 1 star cleanliness, 1 star management, and 1 star safety.
