We appreciated the hotel providing the first floor for my disabled wife. We did NOT appreciate the 7am construction RIGHT outside our window and RIGHT in the blocked EV charging lot. I chose this hotel and paid extra specifically because there was an EV charger. This place only has two, and blocking one is not cool. Starting construction outside my room while I have a disability that doesn't handle that isn't cool (that's not cool at ANY hotel). The digger was also perilously close to my car. A minor complaint - there were supposed to be two water bottle in our room. There weren't. The room was SIXTY degrees. I have brand loyalty to a fault. Once you piss me off, I have no reason to trust you again. You pissed me off. And at twice the price. Oh Hampton Inn...I remember paying extra for you twenty years ago and feeling good about it. Not ever. Not ever again. I can't say this forcefully enough. I stay in a lot of hotels, and I like to support companies that do well. You have left this support. While I appreciate accommodating my wife's disability by putting us in the first floor, my own disability (and probably every other human) can't tolerate construction sounds at 7am just outside their windows. I'm embarrassed for this hotel. Gross. My family and I will use our money more selectively in the future.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites London - I noticed that they had taken off the dangle extension, so it is not usable. Bummer.

When I checked in and came to my room, I found that a blue Holiday Inn Express bag was sitting on a table with the coffee machine, cups, some coffee pods (no decaffeinated options), and stirrer and sugar packages.

I just got off the phone with the direct hotel staff there after being charged for incidentals we never purchased, and when I explained my situation, I was constantly interrupted, though I was polite and then after being told there was nothing they could do I was hung up on. When reserving the room I was told I was speaking with direct hotel staff when I made the reservation... explicitly. No 800 number no 888 number. They had no And the number I called was listed for the hotel itself... Not a travel agent, yet when we got there I learned that somehow my reservation had been booked through Expedia..this seems minimally to be false advertising, particularly since I was told I was speaking with the hotel staff themselves. The rude hotel staff informed me that the hotel itself only got $107 for my room, about $50 too much in my opinion. Here was our "suite" No tissues at all - or extra toilet paper, lighting extremely poor, no bath mat or hand towels, one skinny batb towel. We were told we were in a suite. No, it was very much a standard room not a suite...yet we were charged and paid for a suite, even though I specifically asked for an available room instead.... The hotel was not fully booked, so there were rooms available. And i am a member of the Hilton Club? Hate to see how they behave toward the general public coming in for a room. When we arrived at breakfast at 7:45 Monday there were no beverages except for coffee, ...no juices ....or milk, or ...Even water... with the exception of coffee. The assistant said we could buy juice if we wanted to ! Sausage undercooked, very few choices of anything to eat at all. So what could improve? Everything!

If you are looking for a clean, quiet hotel you will be happy here…read more The entire hotel was very clean: The lobby, the hallway, elevator, fitness center, and breakfast area. My room was nicely arranged, and had plenty of electrical outlets and USB ports. The bathroom was bright and clean and the shower was wonderful. Breakfast was much better than average for a free breakfast. There weee options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free guests. The spinach and Swiss cheese quiches were excellent. Oatmilk was available as well. The breakfast attendant was keeping everything clean, and all the food was hot and fresh. I will definitely plan on staying here the next time I am traveling or working in this area. I

The check-in employee was very nice and explained the hotel offerings. The room numbering made me do a double take because, well, just look at the picture. My room was on the backside of the hotel next to the trampoline park. I didn't get a good night's sleep since they were playing loud music throughout the night. If you stay here, ask for a room that is on the front of the hotel since I think that would be much more quieter. I booked my reservation on Hotels.com and redeemed one of my reward nights and paid less than $5 in tax and fees to say here for the night. Upon check-in I provided my credit card for any incidentals. Upon check-out I was told I was good to go since I've already prepaid. I get home and look at my credit card statement to see I was charged a full night instead of the incidental charge. I called the hotel and was told a new employee made a mistake and would reverse the charge. That's fine, mistakes happen but it's now been a month and the charge still hasn't been reversed. 2 stars because of loudness and poor customer service regarding my credit card statement.

When I drove in to this hotel, I found that one of the best things for a traveler, about this…read morehotel, was that it has access to Slim Chickens and Starbucks within walking distance. Holiday Inn Express and the Baymont Inn, on either side do not have this. Well, the Holiday Inn Express does have Frisch's. The Baymont Inn has no restaurants close to it. I also found that it was tough to find an entrance upon driving in from a got dang u turn because London, KY apparently forgot to make a turn lane to be able to access the entry for this hotel (bad urban planning). There was a Starbucks planted right in front of it and the signage was hard to follow. When I checked in, I was directed to my room which was a wheelchair accessible one. I did ask for a king bed room though. I wanted to use the coffee machine, but found the filter too small and so I had to go to the front desk and show the receptionist how it would fall off. The cookies near the entrance (I think they are set out for guests at around 4 p.m. everyday) are good and it is great that they have a sign stating to use the tongs, but no napkins. How much do you think little kids would touch the tongs after picking up the cookie out of the box? This was fixed when I inquired about napkins. I was eating the cookie on Kleenex! Lol. I then asked for tea because a Best Western I stayed at before had a variety of teas. The only issue? No decaf tea (Chamomile, Peppermint, etc.). Still a good variety, they have many different brands of black tea and even green tea with pomegranate. I am hoping to try it tomorrow. The bathroom is kind of gross, the shower walls are browning and it looks like an area in a slaughterhouse where one could shower a bovine of sorts. O_o. I am probably putting down towels tomorrow on the tile and taking my shower, stepping on them (I ended up doing this for my stay). All in all, I can see why the reviews are stating that this hotel is not quite there. It can become a little bit more with some bit of updating. I am just glad that my employer is paying for it. $100 for something like a Motel 6 or Super 8 type quality.... The cable package they had was great, Travel channel and History channel. I have shows on those two channels that come on on certain days that I cannot usually watch at home because of antenna t.v. and so it is nice if I have access to these channels while on business. For international guests, they have Willow, a cricket (sports) channel. Their pen is really nice. Some hotels have done away with the whole free pen and note pad in the rooms. I am glad this hotel is still keeping that tradition and that too, a Choice Hotel that bought out a Radisson hotel. The pen actually has Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. How cool is that? I added that to my hotel pen collection. 7/29 Had the breakfast and it was just okay. It definitely was better than hotels, which I have been to, that only have packaged baked goods. The hot food was biscuits and gravy (giving somewhat of the country vibe). Against Holiday Inn in the area, the Holiday Inn offers biscuits and gravy and sausage links as well along with omelets. Maybe they could do what Europe hotels do and put out cold cut ham slices? That would be unique. No hotels in KY, from the ones I have been to, has done that. Wednesday 7/30 WELL I WAS TAKEN BY SURPRISE! Breakfast today: Omelet with ham cubes, some sort of green vegetable garnish and cheese, French toast sticks, and sausage links. So apparently, this hotel just rotates their breakfast, not what I had initially thought. I thought I would be having biscuit and gravy for my three day stay. Definitely bumps this place up a star. I wonder what this place is going to serve tomorrow. Stay tuned! Thursday 7/31 Breakfast today: Scrambled eggs (egg beater yellow kind), sausage links, and hash rounds (more like hash polygons). The only suggestion I would make with the breakfast rotation is to maybe switch out sausage with bacon. Maybe they do that on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday? I do not know. Having the same breakfast meat twice is kind of redundant.
