Our group from Central Middle School stayed at the Quality Inn Oceanfront in Ocean City for the 2026 FBLA State Leadership Conference and are happy for the hospitality shown by most staff. We rented 13 rooms, and upon arrival our keys were ready for us, but the staff member pointed us to the elevator when we were actually housed on the outside and needed to take the stairs. It was another kind and helpful male staffer who immediately assisted with my bags and asked what room we were going to. Before our staff and students boarded the elevator, he informed us of our actual housing location and guided us to our rooms, helping carry luggage and food to both the second and third floors. His level of support set a positive tone for our visit. No one complained about their room. I did feel that although my sheets and towels were clean, they were stained, along with my couch. A few bathrooms were missing toilet paper upon arrival, but once we informed the staff, they provided more than enough right away. Some rooms also had issues with the thermostats not working, which meant no heat or heaters blowing only cool air (temperatures dropped to the 30s). When I mentioned this to the front desk, they provided me with a space heater immediately, and I am confident they would have accommodated any other member of our group just as quickly. The atrium is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and a lovely place for students and staff to unwind. The on-site restaurant served good food, and although only a couple of people were working, the service was kind, attentive, and as fast as possible. Because we had 19 people to feed, we are happy we got an early start. One of the biggest highlights was the manager Tonya willingness to accommodate our needs. She allowed us to store our luggage after checkout so we could return to the conference center at 7:30 a.m. without carrying bags on the local bus. This was a tremendous help for our group of 19. A special thank you to Tonya and the nighttime staffer (sorry I did not get his name) for your kindness, professionalism, and support. I booked the day before just to have a shower and place for after the beach for my children and husband. We were staying at another hotel and had to get another place to accommodate our needs as plans fell through. I told the front desk as they reminded me I booked the "petite room" I knew that the room was small but accommodates our needs, that I would be checking out that same night to get home as we have plans the next day. She looked like I was crazy as the room was about 240 dollars night on booking.com but this was our last minute vacation with our young kids. We get into the room early and that was FANTASTIC !!! But when we got into the room, the toilet paper had not been replenished. Later when I go to wash my children in the shower. No bar soap. Fine, I just used the shampoo to wash them off because we were going back down to the beach later. Hours go by and we come back from the beach, about 8pm, I stop by the office to get bar soap and there was chaos as multiple people complained about their rooms being unsanitary and the receptionist gave me an attitude. For soap. Mini bar soaps. I give them a shower and then I go to dry my child off and there was DRY BLOOD ON THE TOWEL THAT I ALREADY STARTED DRYING HIM OFF. I went to complain but someone was already down there arguing with Vickie or Vicky (don't know because they wouldn't give her full name) so I said forget it to myself and was just trying to enjoy the rest of our vacation. We had a neighbor that came out and said there was blood on their bed sheets. Vomit on their curtains, and what looked like "stains" on the couch. Use your imagination. The sheets also were covered with black marks. I will follow up with these photos. Vicky came up aversively to check the room out because she didn't believe their photos and she saw my husband had a cigar in his hand. She immediately said she was charging us 250 dollars for smoking on the property. When my husband went to show her the blood soaked towel she said "get that shit the f off of me." There was in fact someone smoking weed the parking lot. My husband doesn't even smoke weed, at all, but she was trying to tell the police he was. Needless to say I lost it and left. Drove 3 hours without a shower in the place I spent over 200 dollars for a shower. If you travel to Ocean City, MD- avoid the quality inn ocean front on 54th street until choice hotels revise who the hire as management. read more

Nothing of "quality" here. The pull-out bed was bloodstained. AC unit sounds like a playing card on a bicycle wheel. Everything looks old and beat up. The shower has mildew in the grout. Stove is rusty. Asked for an early check-in for 3 instead of 4. Arrived at 3:30, and they said they would call when the room was ready. Never got a call. Wife checked in at 5:30, and they handed her keys. 9:00, we saw the bloodstain. The front desk said the night cleaning woman would bring a replacement. Visited here for the first time in September 2023 to meet my parents and celebrate my birthday. We booked two 1st floor oceanfront rooms (including one accessible room) and it was a great stay. We decided to return in July this year to celebrate my father's 83rd birthday, and booked similar rooms. Never again! When we arrived, we went to the lobby to check in. There were three people working the front desk. They had just finished helping another guest. After he walked away, we stood there for 1-2 minutes as the three employees continued looking down before we were greeted or even acknowledged. When one of them finally decided to help us, we were told "our computer system (for all Choice Hotels) is down right now" (poor timing, right during check in). We asked if my parents had arrived and checked in yet, and if our room would be near their (handicapped accessible) room, and the response we got was "I don't know". We asked if it had rained, and even the response to that was "I don't know". Front desk staff was not overly helpful or friendly, but at least Randy gave us keys to one of our rooms and a parking pass. It gets much worse. When my parents finally did arrive (after a LONG drive from Tennessee), this time we were "helped" by Victoria, who seemed to be entertained in having me run around looking for my credit card (after we had already checked into our other room), which was already on file since we had made a 50% deposit upon booking, before she would give us keys to room 111. Meanwhile, my elderly handicapped father, who suffers from COPD and requires oxygen to be dispensed periodically from a machine which must be plugged in, was waiting in front of room 111 practically gasping for air in the hot/humid sauna-like atrium while breathing in chlorine chemical fumes from the indoor pool. Instead of offering us keys so we could get him safely into the room and come back to the front desk after, she insisted we find the credit card and settle out our remaining balance before issuing keys. I understand there are policies and rules the staff is required to follow, but this is unacceptable; AND she wasn't even friendly or sympathetic about it! When I expressed my dissatisfaction about the poor check-in, I commented somethinglike "this place is terrible" and Victoria argued "no it's not". Pardon me? You don't get to tell me what MY opinion is! In hindsight, I should have said it was her attitude that was terrible. As someone who worked in hospitality for many years, perhaps this person should be doing something else for a living. I do not like to ever give bad reviews, especially about employees, but this was quite an egregious encounter and I do not appreciate her lack of courtesy and professionalism after spending $1,600 for two rooms for two nights. Lastly, there were children in diapers in the hot tub. The area at the bottom of the steps from the rear balcony of our room was littered with cigarette butts. There was a dead smooshed mouse on the property in the area where you walk from the parking spaces on the side of the building to the rear of the building. Yuck! The building itself is old and run down. But the biggest problem was our issue with the front desk. At least the housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful, and Randy at the front desk was helpful and courteous for the most part. But after this visit we will stay elsewhere next time. read more

At the Quality Inn Beachfront in Ocean City MD I had the following experience: There were no towels in the room, but I didn't realize this oversight until my 22 year old daughter with autism was in the shower. I called the front desk and the man told me to come to the front desk which is in a different building. I told him I couldn't leave my child alone in the shower, that I needed someone to bring us towels. The man said "that's not how to ask" and he hung up on me. I called back. A different man answered and I told him we had no towels. He said, "so, you're naked." "No, my daughter is and we need towels." He explained that they were the night shift and didn't have any housekeeping staff. He said someone would bring the towels in a while. They did bring a garbage bag of towels, while I was showering, and they left them in the doorway with the door propped open. I'm shocked by the shoddy service. I've never paid for a trip out of state and ended it early until now. We booked five nights and paid for a beachfront room. They are careful to say beachfront, but display pictures of the ocean outside your room door. Except that's a complete lie. Rooms on the first floor are situated behind a giant sand dune so you literally have no view. Glass back doors to the rooms face the path to the beach that everyone uses and there is no fence or anything around the back of the hotel. Doesn't feel super safe. Our room was also situated IN the stairwell of the hotel and not the hallway with the other rooms. It was right next to the portage door so people were constantly going in and out. Rooms DESPERATELY need updated. Shower was old and rusty, back porch chairs were mildewed beyond belief. We asked for a few extra pillows because our kids were sleeping on the pull-out sofa and it didn't have pillows. They told us they had NO extra pillows and were offended that we even asked. There is minimal parking near the hotel and if you aren't lucky enough to get one of those spots it will be a decent walk down the street for you. It's not even easy to pull up to unload your stuff. But the biggest reason we left after night TWO is the fact that it isn't handicap accessible at all. We booked this trip for the same reason as everyone else, to enjoy the beach. The path isn't paved nor is it a boardwalk path. You have to climb up and over two sand dunes to get anywhere near the ocean and the walk from the hotel to the shoreline is not a quick path like is pictured. When we inquired about accessible options they shrugged and told us we could access the beach somewhere else. Cool. We demanded a refund and ended our trip early and they gave us a partial refund. Room stinks, bathroom smells like urine, sticky TV remote and tables, there were hair on the towels(Thank God I always bring my own). I took a shower in my slippers because I didn't want my feet to touch the tub, that's how disgusting the bathroom felt... Balcony felt suspect to be on it so didn't enjoy the ocean view only from inside the room which didn't matter because the table was cracked and chairs were rusted and had bird droppings everywhere. Good Ocean Front Hotel. The atrium is pretty cool with a Koi pond, turtles, parrots, and a bearded dragon. We never had an issue with parking. The room was clean and adequate for an ocean front hotel. The balcony provided a nice ocean front view equipped with beautiful sunrises. Overall, the staff is friendly. We encountered one lady, who was ready for the summer to be over, lol. The indoor pool is a bit chilly. Two hot tubs are almost always occupied. The out door pool stays busy, but the deep end is pretty large and offers more room. There is no continental breakfast offered. There is a bar/cafe that offers food, but they are kind of pricey. Both Food Lion and Walmart offer grocery delivery to your room. This is a definite advantage and time saver. We stayed on the 5th floor, and the AC always kept the room cool. I have going here to the sandpiper condos who quality owns three of them for seven years now, I never had a problem to this year. I had a reservation since February for condo 211, then when I get down there they move my family to condo 1001 on the tenth floor because they double booked. Then when I talked to a assistant manager the nest day and he gave me a diffrent story. He told me the air wasn't working in the condo so they put us on the tenth floor. And he said it was a act of God. So they did refund one night, but I explained the situation and asked for a free night and was told there is nothing I could do and talk to the manager tge next day. So on my third day of vacation I came back again, and the Manger gave me a third story. This time it was the air broke in a diffrent condo and they had to move a diffrent family in our condo a night. So inexplained again the problem we had to move to the 10th floor then back down to condo 211 plus my son was scared of heights. So I asked for a free night and was told they can't do anything. I told them tge day before a lady was yelling at the people at the counter because they messed up her reservation and she got three nights free. The manager Tonya told me that's not true because they can't do that without her permission which is another lie. I will never stay here again! So we found this hotel last minute, and the majority of the reviews were very bad, but we thought we would give it a shot, based on the location. I have to say that my overall experience with this hotel was very good. the staff was friendly and helpful and I would recommend this place if you have children and want something close to the beach. they have an indoor pool and 2 jacuzzi "inside" a covered atrium, so this would be perfect year-round, and you can see everything (and your kids) from your balcony. I do have one issue, the bedframe had metal extensions (to connect two beds together) sticking out that I hit my foot/ankle at least three times, and they should have done a better job making sure they could not hurt anyone. once we reported it, they did have maintenance come to check it out, however knocking on someone's door at 8:30am is way to early. If your looking for a good hotel, at a reasonable price next to the beach I would recommend this hotel read more

My family just stayed here this past weekend for a cheer competition. When we checked in, we noticed the sofa in our room and the duvets both had stains all over them. The duvets appeared to have dog fur on them also. My daughter is extremely allergic to dogs and couldn't be in the room without her eyes burning. The room also had about an inch of dust covering everything! Several guests in our party did not receive the ocean front room that they had booked and instead were given an atrium view without being reimbursed the difference in price. They were told there was nothing the hotel could do about it. The final straw was on Saturday night when we ordered over $200 worth of pizzas and chicken fingers for the cheerleaders and coaches. We left it all on a table, along with several personal items, for 10 minutes to go watch a skit. When we returned, it was all gone! We went to the front desk and were told that the cleaning crew threw it all out. We found one of the trash bags and were able to retrieve some of our personal items, but the uneaten pizza and unopened chicken fingers were not there. The front desk insisted that this was policy - anything left unattended is thrown out, regardless of what it is. This was 8:30pm, and we now had to reorder dinner for about 20 people! The kids had to be up at 5:30am and didn't end up eating until after 9:30pm! When I spoke to the assistant manager after we had left, she insinuated that I was lying by saying that they didn't see any pizza or personal items on their camera, only 2 containers of half eaten chicken fingers. She refused to do anything to make amends and told me they don't care if we don't return next year because other cheerleaders will stay there. This hotel is not worth going through all this! First I will start out with a positive. The view is amazing! The kitchen was good. Great to have a freezer/refrigerator combo, not just a dorm style refrigerator. The bed was good for a hotel. Now for the less than positive information. The room, especially the bathroom could have been cleaner. When we first checked in and came up to our room, the cleaner that they had used on the tile floor in the kitchen made the floor very slick. There was a drunkin party of what I imagine we're teenagers the second night we were there. It was so loud! I tried calling the front desk 3 times, but no one answered. Almost got to the point of calling the police. We were hoping we wouldn't have that issue since we're not on the boardwalk, but I guess not. There is always someone smoking and it wasn't always tobacco. This is supposed to be a COMPLETELY smoke free hotel. Not sure if the hotel can really do anything about that, but it got really annoying! It might be helpful if they would have signs on the balcony railing telling people about not smoking ANYTHING! read more

Great location to stay while on vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. Our room was on the fifth floor, a suite overlooking the Ocean. Suite has king size bed, flat screen tv with couch, a small kitchenette that supplies you with a refrigerator,sink, stove, dishwasher, microwave, can-opener, and toaster, bathroom a-little small for a suite. Hotel has an indoor heated pool, and also an out side pool, fitness room and a small arcade room for the children. Love the parrots on the main level near the heated pool. They have a resturant on the premises where you can order breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. They offer happy hour from 5-7pm. Great customer service, would recommend this hotel/inn if looking for a place to stay while on vacation in OC, Maryland, waking up with the view of the ocean, what else can you ask for? read more

The hotel has not been updated or renovated in 20+ years. Everything is old/dingy/broken. The elevator button/lights don't work. The carpets and paint look original. The room was bad. The ac thermostat did not work. Only control was high med low. No maid service one day, had to track down maid to ask for towels and trash bags. The AC unit was leaking on the floor. The bathroom ceiling had condensation on it. After a couple days there we noticed all our belongings had a smell to them. The sliding door to the outside sticks badly. We had to force open the door to get someone back inside. The closet door was broken. Who knows what we were breathing in for the time in the room. read more

I stayed at this hotel for a summer bachelorette weekend. It was a good experience. The main thing I enjoyed was the immediate beach access. They also had a little deck so you could drink/chill overlooking the beach. It was a very big room with two beds, a pull out couch, a kitchen with a full fridge, 1 full bathroom and the aforementioned deck. It slept 5 girls comfortably. The customer service was great - the front desk, the chamber maids, the staff were all extremely polite. I want to take off a star because they have tons of birds in cages in the lobby that are SCREAMING all the time. It's so weird and stupid. I also want to take off a star because the atmosphere and decor are so stodgy. But I think given the area and customer service, a four is more accurate. It's definitely not cheap, especially considering such old amenities and stodgy decor. But that is typical for the area. This is superficial, but they also had fresh whole fruits at the front desk which I REALLY appreciated. Finally, it's on the main road/bus route. And, of course, walking distance to Seacrets. read more

We go here for a eight day vacation. Check was quick and staff helpful. Room clean nice TV with a kitchen. First thing I plug in my plugs and the wall jack was loose. Every time i move the table it which on and off. Call it in they said it work. AC work until it get really cold and turn it off can't turn it on with out staff resting. Kitchen only had one plate. I had to call to get more plate. Plus we had to call to get a large pot. Plus there were lids with no pots. Kitchen had dishwasher stove and oven. Coffee pot only makes one cup at a time. Wifi very slow. Keep on linking up to use it. Bathroom wall paper flaking and no shower curtain. Cell phone service only one bar. No internet service thou phone carer. Front desk had kiwi, bananas, orange and more. Also by the pool Atrium cafe & bar and out side pool. We needed pickup breakfast TRIO COMBO One each pancake egg and choice of bacon and sausage. DONT GET THE SAUSAGE!!!! BLT YEA RIGHT messy blt. very sad. CHEESE OMELET with cheese and choice of meat ham, sausage or bacon. was so so. Even we order a small cup of wine yea right. Do not go there. After I made a reservation for 2 nights, I was very disappointed. My family and I are having a terrible time there. I say this because I don't know where to start. The rooms are so hot because the air conditioners are so weak operating that you sweat all the time, (I felt I was in the hell) it was hotter inside than outside!! when my wife and I complain at the Quality Inn desk they pretend it was reported and someone will come soon to fix it!! But nobody shows even the fridge and stove are not working well. Disgusting room smells greet you as soon as you enter and the door of the balcony need someone with great muscles to open it!! There are other hotels cheaper than this non-quality hotel with better views and real clean. read more

It's never easy to write a disappointing post! I recognize that a lot is going on un the world and people are.doing their best to cope ! This was to be a weekend filled with laughter and fun with my (4) young granddauggters ages 3-10. A time to ay in the sand and do summer related things at the beach. After all, the better part of 2020 has been full of unexpected challenges and hurdles. I chose this location based on pictures from their website,which is a far cry from what we walked into. The was was $300+ nighlty and I truly was expecting so much more than what we got. The parking lot is extremely tight and very small. When we entered the hotel lobby, every glass surface was cloudy , the carpeting looked worn and old and once we finished at the front desk, we went in search of the beautiful Atrium, fish and birds that are depicted on the website. The birds were non-existent, the fish pond for lack of a better word was somewhat smelling and the water was dark. Still haven't found that gorgeous atrium! My girls and I proceeded to the elevator and everything about the elevator was gross. Now I know we're in the midst of a pandemic, the dampness in the air could be from constant cleaning, however that doesn't explain the musty smell that hit me like a ton of bricks when we entered the first room. The floor of the tub was rusted and the tiolet didn't look clean at all. Little flying bugs were everywhere.. We got out of there,bags in tow. We immediately go back to the front desk and explain what we encountered and we were provided another room with apologies. Well, for the price this place is charging the second room wasnt much better and just as musty as the first! I spent the next (2) hours on the phone with my credit card company trying to locate another place to stay for the weekend. I then called Quality Inn Customer Relations and attempted to voice my displeasure about the accommodations and what was clearly old pictures.. i was disconnected (3) times. Meanwhile my grandbabies are restless as heck, highly excited but very aware that things were not going well. I went out to set them up on the balcony which was filthy and paint patches dropping from the walls! Needless to say, we're all disappointed. I resigned myself to the fact that we would be charged at least for the night so, I needed to try and make it work for the night. I set out with Lysol and Clorox wipes to disinfect the space and we went to the beach, dinner and tried to make the best of a trying day. Sadly, my focus was on locating other accommodations to try and save our weekend. We found things to do and stayed out for hours to reduce the amount of time in the room.Back in the room after being out for hours and the musty smell drop kicked the can of Lysol I sprayed, we'll sleep with the balcony door open and the sound of the waves will drown out the air conditioner/ fan, that is rattling! I failed to take pictures of the first room but here's the second room , balcony and atrium. Also spoke with the site manager Tonya Sacrsborough who assured me that the room were renovated less than (2) years ago and anything worn out is replaced as needed. read more

My family and I stayed here for one night while visiting Ocean City. Personally, I don't think it's worth the amount of money that you'll pay. However - it is very convenient. The location is right off of the beach and coastal highway, so you can walk pretty much anywhere. The hotel needs major renovations. The shower was squeaking and there were stains [ hopefully from bleach ] on some blankets. Leaving the window open to fall asleep to the sound of the waves wasn't happening. You can smell cigarette smoke and there's some sort of loud, thundering noise that goes off all the time? We never figured out what it was. They also didn't serve continental breakfast [ just fruit is not breakfast ] , but I was grateful for the coffee! The pools, hot tubs, game room, fitness center, and glorious array of animals were pleasant sights to see. I just wish the indoor pool had quiet hours. Hearing kids screaming and splashing at 11 pm is only fun for one side of the party. If you just need a place to crash near the beach for one night, then this place is average. the view is nice and the staff was helpful but definitely not worth the money. Our room was outdated and constantly humid due to being right by the indoor pool. Room was not clean, it was filthy. shower and sink was dirty and found a roach in the bathroom. What appears to be mold was on the walls of our room. They have parrots in the main area where the pools are that constantly scream & aggravated by people. Seagulls outside your balcony from the moment the sun rises. The room was clean enough but it had a musty smell. The staff is nice and helpful. But the water pressure is sub par. The shower was at a trickle! The toilet didn't go down the first day, we needed their plumber. The grounds are filthy. Litter everywhere. The property looked kind of run down. I don't recommend the Quality Inn Oceanfront. The sink water didn't drain. The television had no signal. The telephone wasn't plugged to the jack. When I plugged the jack into the phone, there was no telephone service. My room key wasn't programmed. I had to return to the front office. INFERIOR QUALITY INN. read more

After coming on vacation this weekend me and my friends booked at the SPINDRIFT MOTEL immediately after arriving we found bed bugs we were refused a refund and could not stay there for the night. With almost no money and no hotels available on such short notice I decided to call the quality inn. I spoke with hotel manager Jeff and explained the situation I was currently dealing with asked if there was any way he could help me and my friends out for the night because we were so low on money after losing $622 to our original hotel. Jeff was willing to help immediately and was so understanding about our situation when he didn't have to be! He was willing to give us a very nice room and a very nice discount for the night. The hotel was beautiful relaxing and SO CLEAN. I will forever book with quality inn any time I come back to ocean city we are soo thankful for the staff at quality inn. read more

If you want to stay somewhere where cigarette smoke ruins your clothes on the balcony to the point you can't enjoy the room you paid extra for and where you can't let your kids stay in the atrium, balconies or pool areas because they are vulgar. Look no further than this hotel. The air conditioning doesn't work in most rooms. The housekeeping was so bad that I watched someone leave because it threw them into an asthma attack. The hotel management is unresponsive and the customer service line is a joke. You can do far better with less money going somewhere else who will provide a family environment. read more

This hotel does not appear to represent the Choice hotel brand. It's a great location but not worth it. The men at the front desk never smiled, were not inviting and didn't make you feel welcomed. The staff did not enforce face coverings even though there were signs posted everywhere. Safety is a concern, you do not need a key card to get in and out of the facility through the side doors so anyone can walk right in from the street. The facility is old, outdated and in dire need of repair and a good cleaning. read more
