This Quality Inn is comfortable, feel safe, and is decent middle of the road accommodation. The sheets were clean, as was the bathroom, though there was a bit of spilt food, not cleaned up on the desk and it's in need of a bit of routine maintenance like most motels. The important things that matter here have been addressed, with a comfortable bed, in room, mini fridge in microwave, and cleanliness where it matters most. The paint is cracking at a few points, and the mini gym appears to have had all, but the 50 pound dumbbells stolen out of it, but to make up for that there is a real breakfast with eggs and waffles in the morning. For the price, it's a decent, and a motel I would be happy to stay at in the future. read more

This hotel is conveniently located near the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. It is close to shopping and entertainment, and transportation. It is an older style Quality Inn and is in need of renovation. The room was clean and it looks like there have been a few updates made (there was a new vinyl plank floor in the room) but the rest of the fixtures are tired and really need replacement. The bed was comfortable. The exercise room was a shambles with the elliptical machine broken (no sign indicating it was out of order). Breakfast was disappointing. Although they have a hot breakfast, the attendants did not refresh the buffet even though there was still 30 minutes left for service. It was a good value for the price of the room ($126 including tax). If you just need a place to lay your head for the evening, this place will work but there are other nicer options (albeit for more money) in the area. read more

There's really nothing fancy about this hotel - it's a hotel if you want somewhere clean and cheap to go to sleep for the night in the Schaumburg area. It's really close to Woodfield Mall and Streets of Woodfield. There is no pool, but a small gym and a free continental breakfast in the morning. Staff is friendly and rooms are decently sized. If you have to stay in Schaumburg- this is not a bad choice for a hotel. read more

I stayed here for just 1 night for business. My company, located within 15 minutes by foot, has a corporate rate here for $90/night all in which is a great deal. Pros: -Good value -They have a shuttle that can take you around, as long as you reserve it in advance -It's located across from the mall near a movie theater. How this place got so many good reviews is beyond me. For the same price, I stayed at a Marriott the other week and actually had a decent hotel experience. This place is dark, dingy, and reminiscent of the Bates Motel. The beds are not too comfortable and the bathroom did not appear super-clean. The toiletries are definitely sub par. There were people running through the hallways and parking lot, talking loudly and slamming doors at all hours of the day/night. I attempted to finally take a nap in the afternoon at around 3 pm only to be awaken by housekeeping shrieking loudly as they pounded on the door of the next door guest. It was so loud I thought they were trying to enter MY room. The front desk staff, to their credit, were kind, efficient, and great. However, the amenities are just awful. read more

Breakfast was good and was stocked the entire stay. The pool was packed and very loud so we did not attempt to use it. One of worst hotel that I have stayed and I have stayed in few shady hotels in the past. Rooms of this hotel were outdated, smelly, and bathroom was cramped, leaky and noisy. Best Quality Inn I have been to. I am a frequent traveler. We stayed 4 days. This is a gem. Close to the Mall, AMC theatre, lots of good eats around, etc. Staff is wonderful. My wife needs extra towels for hair, etc. And we asked the desk for the extra. Then everyday, housekeeping placed 4 towels in our room. Great! Pool was clean. Exercise room is small but OK. Free breakfast was slightly better than normal for a Quality Inn. 3 drinks at night with adequate munchies was a bonus. Room very clean. Bathroom better. read more

Okay for the price. It could definitely use some updating. The room was large but the lighting and comfort level of the bed left something to be desired. The breakfast was okay, lots of choices but nothing special. The staff at the front desk was courteous. There was a water stain and hole above the shower. I found the sign near the towels kind of offputting. I'm all for being green but they also only gave us 1 full size bath towel when there are 2 guests in the room. I guess their mindset is that we would just share or contact them for more? Personally I'm not one who likes to have to contact management/staff. Perfect location for a weekend in Schaumburg. Within walking distance of Woodfield Mall and Streets of Woodfield and many various restaurants. They offer complimentary drinks and appetizers in the evenings from 530 to 7. The drinks are bottom shelf but free alcohol! They also have your standard complimentary breakfast - waffle maker, fake eggs, dry biscuits and bagels, etc. The hotel itself is a little outdated and our bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned (hair sticking to shower wall... ewww)! The pool was nice and hot tub small but nice. The bed and pillows were comfy and it was quiet at night. The employees were also very friendly and courteous which was a plus. So I'm not going to wait to see how the rest of my stay goes here. After this first night there's no way they're gonna change my mind about giving them 1 star. So I'm in the city for technical training for work and this is one of the hotels that offer a special rate from the company. When I came in the people were very nice and helpful. I unpacked and just sat and talked to my wife on the phone for hours. Then when I was ready to go to bed I got under the sheets and noticed there was blood on them. Pulled the blankets off and looked at the other blankets, bed cover, and pillow cases. Bed cover had a big blood smear and so did one of the pillow cases. I called the front desk and asked for new sheets. The lady, believe she said her name was Terry, made no apology whatsoever. Just thought it was odd that I was just now calling about it after being checked in for hours. So she said it would be ten minutes. 30 minutes later I call the front desk again and she said give her two more minutes so I hung up. 10 more minutes pass and there's a knock on my door. Its a lady holding a bunch of sheets so I hold the door open for her and she holds them out to me and says "Here you go." That's it. Again no apology, no offer to take the nasty sheets with a stranger's blood on them out of my room. Just hands me the sheets and leaves. So now it's midnight, I wanna go to bed for my class tomorrow, and I'm staying up doing their job. Changing the sheets that they couldn't bother to make sure were clean. I can't believe I'm a paying guest here and having to do this myself. So I said screw it and put all the bloody sheets and pillow case in the hallway with the blood marks showing so all the other guests have a chance to see them as they walk by. Don't know if I should bother complaining to a manager in the morning but I'll definitely let my company know tomorrow that they should no longer partner up with this hotel. read more

They have a free cocktail reception every evening from 5 to 7:30. Also a free hot breakfast. The hotel has a fitness center, pool, and hot tub. Be careful when booking a room as they charge an extra $10 per night to change from one king bed to two queen even if it's the same type of room. I had booked this hotel via Name Your Own Price on Priceline and had called the day prior to confirm two queen beds were available. When I arrived at the hotel, the concierge advised me that it would be an extra $10 per night because I wanted two separate beds. The concierge was apologetic and explained that it is the hotel policy and there was nothing she could do about it. The hotel stay includes breakfast with the typical yogurt, muffins, make your own waffles, sausages, eggs, cereal. I was told that there is "happy hour" Monday - Saturday afternoons with 3 drinks included..but since I had checked in Saturday night for two nights, I would not be able to attend. The hotel itself is a little dated but overall clean; parking was no issue as the hotel was not busy so we always had a close spot to the door. This hotel is priced right and located bang opposite Woodfield Mall in Schaumburgh. I booked a one night stay through Hotels.com for $70 a room with a King bed. Parking is available all around the building. Hotel reception guy was very friendly and the check in process took less than a couple of minutes. The hotel has a pool with a hot tub. The best part about the hotel was that every evening between 5:30 and 7 there is a manager's reception with 3 complimentary alcoholic beverages per guest with light snacks (tortilla chips, salsa, queso). Excellent continental breakfast is complimentary as well. Free wi-fi these days, I think, is a given with a hotel stay. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this hotel and will keep this in mind for our future visits to Chicago and surrounding areas. read more

We stayed one night. Overall it was a good stay. The bed was nice and the room was dark even at 11am, something to be cherished. The breakfast was mediocre at best. They did have some fresh fruit, which was good. The waffle batter was entirely separated which was kind of frightening. The bacon may not have been bacon. The biscuits and gravy were hard hockey pucks that you poured tasteless white over in hopes of not chipping a tooth. They did not keep their cream cheese properly cooled so it was warm and almost a liquid. Again, scary. But hey, the banana, sausage, and juice I had was good. The pool was ok. Kind of small but I don't expect Olympic size. The hot tub was roughly 10 degrees hotter than the pool and the bubbles didn't work, so that was a downer. Still, our room was only $65 through expedia so it was not bad. read more

Quality Inn in Schaumburg, IL; I rarely stayed in an Inn but they are better than Motel :) Pro: 20 mins without traffic (24-30 with traffic) to O'Hare Airport, free WIFI, free breakfast, free complimentary drinks or snack, free parking ... Got personal microwave and refrigerator. Cons: bed is a bit hard and pillows are small for the bed. The complimentary breakfast was not good! The pool and hot tub is a bit dirty :( price is a bit too high for an Inn; I had to pay 10$ extra for a double bed. Guess I only got torture to stay one night! It was bare able. read more

I would recommend this hotel. I have stayed here a few times and normally get good service. I, too, stayed at this location the same weekend Jason B. stayed when the parking lot was being redone (it reopened on Saturday to a full lot) and the fire alarms went off a few times the two nights we were there. So, this past weekend we gave them another shot and they redeemed themselves and we had a pleasant stay. The pillows aren't that great, but otherwise, the rooms are nicely furnished and clean. They also offer free breakfast with a variety of hot items. This stay we were able to go to the happy hour where each guest gets 3 free drinks. They are very close to the mall and other fun things in Schaumburg. I've never tried to use the wireless internet, so I can't say anything about that. read more

Room is decent and clean. Some updating needed. Location is great. Happy hour was very nice. Great snacks and beverages. However, the customer service is very lacking. Anything you need in addition to your room, is an extra charge or they refuse to help you at all. They refused to give us an extra blanket (there was none in the room) and proceeded to say that they were at 100% capacity - even though their website said there were rooms still available to reserve. Several of the front desk workers were not eager to help make my stay more enjoyable. It was more like I was bothering them by asking for anything. Well I am being generous with 1 star. Actually Yelp won't let me do less. Checked in on the 21st of July. Hotel was very humid. So as soon as we got to the room we went to turn the air on to help the room feel better. Upon doing this the thermostat fell of the wall. Yup just placed there not attached. I brought it to the front desk he offered to fix it right away and was very nice. So we went to dinner. Upon our return we decide to visit the restroom in our room. In order to close the door and do your business you must almost step into the tub. Very small quarters. But its ok. Upon getting ready for bed we pull the comforter back only to reveal the sheets were not changed prior to our arrival. Yes the last guests hair and whatever else where still there. At this point we decide this location is not for us. So we find another hotel nearby and go to check out. I mention our issues with the front desk upon our checking out at 11:30 at night and she says she will make a note of it. Really thats how they handle it. Let us leave and make a note of it. We booked this place because of the price for our last night after 2 weeks visiting family in the Midwest. Our room was tiny. It was clean and nice. It had a recliner. This place was a surprise. They had cookies, Happy hour with appetizers, and breakfast we missed due to our flight. Give me a free martini and I will be very happy. They had a pool ,hot tub and gym I never went to. Overall a pleasant stay with a couple hiccups. After we checked in with the friendly staff at the front desk, we went to our room to put our luggage down. The room was very warm when we entered and we found that the AC was turned to the highest temperature. There was wall paper coming off the walls and a very leaky shower with a moldy and crumbling bathroom fan. Additionally, the bathroom light was falling apart and there was a hair in the bed. My husband and I decided to call the front desk to request a different room. Again, the front desk staff was very friendly and relocated us to a different room that appeared to be in better repair. We found a beetle of some kind on the wall, and the bathroom fan was still moldy, but the bed was clean, and that's what counts for us.
