Update: Stayed at Hyatt Place Itasca with my wife for three nights in early March '26. Booked directly through the Hyatt site, using a prepay non-refundable rate, costing about $100 per night. Some additional things of note from previous stay: + large room with double beds, and a sleeper sofa. + the hotel wasn't full, so rooms were available for early check-in. However, it was clearly marked that early check-in might cost an additional charge, depending on your World of Hyatt Tier. A non member would be charged $50 extra for 09:00 to 13:00 check-in, all the way to no charge if Globalist. I'm noticing this at Hyatt's now. + got a chance to use their breakfast on two of the mornings. It had the two hot dishes (an egg dish and a meat dish), along with assortment of continental breakfast items. One thing I really liked was the make-your-own-waffle machines (two of them). The premixed matter is quite good, and the machine is setup so the waffle are not too dense. + they rolled out a service to make the TV in the room be Google Cast eligible. Any app on your mobile device that has 'cast' enabled, can now send it to the TV. Netflix, Disney, and HBO-Go all worked well. The list of TV channels was good as well, with plenty of basic cable channels. It was also good to hear the local news, though we didn't recognize any familiar faces on the broadcasts. It's been a long time since we lived here. + daily housekeeping is available, but if you don't need it, it can be lowered to a basic refresh on every other day. + I made a mistake and left my backpack in the parking lot while we were leaving. The early morning attendant on duty, did some due diligence to figure out who it belonged to, and then gave me a call on my cell before we had gotten too far. This could have turned into a disaster for me, but everyone involved was very helpful and not judgy. It was really appreciated. read more

If you can get a decent price, this is a great option as long as you have a car. Although there are a couple of restaurants across from the hotel, there isn't much else that could be considered walking distance. Although it's not centrally located, it is a short drive to the highway entrance and less than 15 min from the mall in Schaumburg. The room itself was comfortable, and the free breakfast, though it was always busy, they seemed good about keeping enough out. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights while in Chicago. I did online check in and the digital key in the app, so for the 2 days there, I didn't see any staff, or interact with anyone lol. Hotel was nice, but a little far away from stuff if you are headed into Chicago. The Hyatt bed is my new favorite hotel bed. Its so freaking comfy! Slept great both nights. Used some rewards points for the nights, so it didn't cost me anything. Would definitely stay here again if I had to attend things close to the airport and the surrounding "West side" of the Chicago burbs. read more

Our stay at this location has me seriously considering moving on from using Hyatt in the future. We stayed on the 6th floor and the hallway was so stuffy with zero air circulating or cooling....waiting for the elevators was not fun in the heat of summer. The AC in our room was terrible as well....the sounds coming from it sounded like a freight train and I was thanking my lucky stars I brought extra earplugs. It was terrible. The couch in the room had disgusting stains on it as well as the carpet. Floors were sticky throughout the hotel and the tub drain in our room was broken. Definitely not staying here ever again. We booked another hotel for on our way home. This place needs a major remodel and cleaning. read more

I Booked this hotel b/c the website said it was a 8.8/10. Nope!!! When I arrived, my bedding was covered in black ash, and the room had not been vacuumed, because there were feathers, plastic and other debris all over the floor. I asked for housekeeping to clean, & left for the afternoon. Hours later, all they did was pick up obvious trash & try to pick off as much ash from the bed as possible without changing the quilt. So I asked to change rooms, and was moved from the 4th floor to room 622. That's when I realized the other room didn't have a microwave, even though it was advertised and shown in the pic. Only fridge/sink. I was put in the "premium" room, which has the microwave. But there were other repair issues, one being lack of caulking around piping in the shower, so pipes came out from wall. The TV even broke & stopped working, & nobody came to fix it. Finally, personal items were stolen by staff, and I was moved to another room: 404. This was the worst of all. No working wall unit for AC, fan, heat. So the room was humid and hot. No microwave, so I couldn't reheat the food that was in the refrigerator. No lock on the door either! The floor had numerous large indentions, which caused me to trip several times. Each of the 3 rooms were covered in massive stains. Other notable mentions: typically only one person works the lobby area. Meaning they are responsible for front desk, bar, kiosk, and small food area. I waited for over an hour to be checked in while they served drinks to guests at the bar. Ugh. They also do not do any housekeeping unless you requested it! They didn't tell me this, and I was staying for a week. When I did request it, they tried to negotiate me down to only giving me some fresh towels and nothing else. Because of this lack of effort, people pile trash up in the hallway, and it smells! And since you are only given 2 coffee packets, you can't even get this replaced after they are used up, because housekeeping doesn't service the room. There is always a liquid spill in the elevator, and even after reporting it, it was not cleaned up. Don't count on toiletries. They don't provide them. Only a bar of soap, shampoo, conditioner. And they are usually 1/2 used dirty bottles on the counter. In a higher rated hotel, you would typically see more than this. Lotion, shower cap, face wipe, q-tips... nothing like that here. Just nothing. And they would be fresh new bottles. Oh, And the bath towels are very small, thin, rough and hard as a rock. It's like they never heard of fabric softener... or buying a new towel in the last decade. The bathrooms are very dark, and no fans. For the price.... Not worth it. Had to change rooms 3x, got property stolen, and poor service. read more

Such a great hotel! Definitely staying here next time we're in town. Very clean, modern and the staff is nice. The ease of checking in and out was great too. Parking is good and plenty. There was a complimentary breakfast, but we didn't have time to sit down and eat. Buuuuut, they had breakfast sandwiches ready to grab and go! How great is that?!! #winning Our room was fab! So spacious and nice! Loved the separation from couch/desk and bed, like a mini studio apartment. 1000% sure we'll be staying here again. UPDATE: We've been staying here the past few times we're in town, visiting family, which is at least 2 times a year. Dropping the score because it's not what it used to be, as it relates to the hotel policies. They charged us $90 for checking in at 7a, the day of our actual check-in date. I've never been charged an early check-in fee, at any other hotel. Also, breakfast is no longer included, as you have to purchase a special package, in order to get breakfast. The staff is still really nice, though. But, I think we'll switch back to Double Tree, from now on... at least DT gives you delicious, warm cookies and coffee for free. read more

For breakfast one day they had syrup I asked if it contained any maple and I wasn't able to get an answer. Most of the front desk employees were not friendly and I wasn't even asked how my stay was. Hyatt doesn't have a quiet policy. There is a "private" event going on right now (12:12am) that's music is so loud it is vibrating the windows. No communication was provided that this event would be going on so we could request a quiet zone room. We were told that the hotel didn't need to communicate this. Rates for this weekend are spiked for the neighboring festival and so I am getting no sleep because it's a private event and they are entitled to do as they please. Front desk and customer service said they would register our complaint but that since it is a private event, there was nothing that could be done. So glad my family has to be up at 5:30 and won't get "restful and productive stay" as they claim on their website. read more

Where to begin.....??? Reserved 2 connecting rooms for 4 nights. My FIL is elderly & Im handicapped. At check in.... got to our rooms on 5th floor & they were not connecting. Called front desk, they moved us to 2nd floor & gave us rooms across the hall from each other. Went back down & told them we need connecting rooms. Then they told us their connecting rooms are permanently locked. Why have connecting rooms that don't work? Now they move us to 6th floor with rooms on each side of the elevator. It was late & Too tired & frustrated to go through anymore we just stayed. Then the a/c in FIL room wasn't working. Maintenance came & got it going . This was the story every night.... a/c needing Maintenance. Last night here, they move FIL 3 floors down. Worst hotel stay EVER! The front desk personnel were extremely friendly. However that's where it ends. The morning of check out my kids found a finger stick needle used by diabetics to check their blood sugar (on the floor). While making sure we didn't forget anything, I found a used condom wrapper on the side of the bed where my children slept. I'm just disgusted that the cleaners completely overlooked this, and even more upset we slept in this room. Will never stay here again. :( read more

Affordable Luxury I recently became a Hyatt member after learning about the chain from a business colleague. I knew the Hyatt hotels existed but I only knew about the 4 and 5 star properties they owned. What a great surprise to know that they a more affordable level of hotel called The Hyatt Place. I chose the one in Itasca as I was flying out of O'Hare and the hotels near the airport were astronomically price that night, and almost all of them charged for parking. Located only a few miles down the highway form the Airport I googled and found the Hyatt Place in Itasca for a very good rate. I signed up for Hyatt rewards and booked the hotel. This hotel had a very good location with restaurants across the parking lot, and others nearby. Gas, food and shopping were not far either, and it was a 20 minute drive the next day to the airport. The rooms are very nice almost elegant. They have a higher end feel that other hotels in this price range. The hotels rooms are very nicely laid out and although my room went a suite, I felt like I had plenty of room. There was a little kitchen nook with a microwave and small fridge. A desk, a very nicely sized bad. The rooms are clean and almost modern. My only complaint is that they lack enough USB ports for plugging phone and tablets into. The room was a bit small but very clean. The bed however was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The gym has enough equipment for a good work out and enough machines to keep you busy. There is a restaurant but I didn't not use it for dinner only for breakfast. The breakfasts at The Hyatt Place are amazing, really good bacon, eggs, cereals, breads, and other times as well. This alone gave the Hyatt a star in my review. I do recommend this hotel as a great alternative to the airport hotels and and overall great hotel. The staff is very helpful, and they recognized me as as Hyatt member even through I just signed up. read more

I stay at a lot of Hyatt place hotels throughout the country. This one has recently been re-done. The Decour is new the paint is fresh the hotel is nice. When I checked in I was greeted right away by the front desk, they quickly got me my room key and asked if I needed them to go over the amenities of the hotel. Very nice and professional. The hotel also sits far off of any major road so for anybody who does not like road noise near their hotel this would be a good option. read more

I really like this local hotel. I stay there because the ARE dog friendly while being clean. Customer service is great, especially the last time we stayed there. There is a buona beef and taco place basically in the same parking lot which is a plus. They have a pool and breakfast in the morning (too early for me tho). Good place to stay. read more

My family of 5 came to Chicago for the 4th of July weekend. If you have more than 4 people in your family you know it's difficult to find a hotel room to accommodate 5 guests. The Hyatt place had no problem! There were 2 full beds and a queen sleeper sofa in our very spacious room. We had a mini fridge, "kitchen" counter with sink, table with chair, footstool, several shelves, bathroom counter with sink, 3 drawer dresser, closet, and bathroom with toilet and tub. The place was fairly quiet. We were on the 6th (highest) floor. Everything was clean and functional during our stay. We arrived 2 hours early and we're able to check in. The desk associate was very friendly and helpful. She told us about the fireworks that happened right behind the hotel (they were awesome!). We checked in and used the pool, if you have kids you know this is the best thing about a hotel! The pool is somewhat small, but clean and the kids loved it. We stayed 3 nights, and housekeeping arranged my kids stuffed animals and pillows on the beds so cute, it was adorable the care they took! The breakfast each day was good, not great. The eggs were funky. Kind of rubbery, we just skipped them after the first day. The potatoes are the bomb dot com. They were delicious! Sausage links or bacon (not both) were served each day. There was also either pancakes or waffles. We did have a monkey bread French toast on Sunday. They offered steel cut oats and Greek yogurt with several toppings for each. They also had hard boiled eggs and fresh cut fruit as well as whole apples and bananas. Toast and cereal were also options. They offered a great variety in milk, 2%, skim, and almond as well as orange and apple juice and coffee. Every staff member we encountered during our stay was phenomenal! With the exception of one of the breakfast helpers. She was a busy bee, I could tell she was in a hurry to get things stocked, but sometimes she wasn't the most polite, budging in without saying excuse me, and seeming annoyed when asked a question from a guest. I know hospitality is a difficult line of work, and she may not even realize how it appears to guests because of how speedy she was. Overall, we would return! I encourage anyone with a larger family looking to start in Chicago to visit the Hyatt place in Itasca! read more

Nice Hotel. WORST PARK AND FLY PROGRAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. This hotel has been constructed very recently. It is clean, well designed, pleasantly high-tech with helpful staff. The pool, fitness room, continental breakfast, and rooms themselves are all above average for the price range. But the only reason I would ever stay in Itasca is because I am flying out of O'Hare. And for this same reason, I will never, ever stay here again. For ten bucks, we upgraded our king room to use the Park and Fly program ($89 total). It sounded like a great deal -- for those ten dollars, you can leave your car in their lot for up to two weeks, and the Hyatt shuttle picks you up and drops you off at O'Hare. The morning drop off went fine. When we got back from our trip at 4pm, we called the desk just after touchdown...and were told we would need to wait 3.5 hours if we wanted to take the shuttle. Apparently, they let other guests book the shuttle for errands, and since you're not allowed to schedule airport pickups, you are @$%& out of luck if someone wants to go shopping. They suggested we pay for a cab, which cost us $55 It seems unethical to charge $10 for a service that doesn't exist. The manager said, in about 7 years, they might have more regular shuttle service. This was Absolutely a wonderful hotel the Customer service was everything I knew it would be I absolutely do NOT have one bad thing to say about this hotel I loved how the room was set up it was very clean and up to date on everything there was a nice size television in the room which I loved when you cut it on it lite up the whole room I also enjoyed there swimming pool and let's not forget the Complimentary breakfast that was really top notch they offered many different items to fit everyone's diet my husband has been on the keto diet for 2 yrs and they had everything that he could eat being on that kind of diet the thing about there breakfast that I loved the most was they offer cage free eggs that right there sealed the deal for me I've stayed at a lof of top rated and top notch hotel chains and none of them offer cage free eggs I'll definitely be back to Chicago and this will be the hotel I'll be staying at for sure read more

I've stayed here several times when visiting my family. It's conveniently located to the highway, several neighborhoods, stores, restaurants, etc... yet set off any major roads so that you get no outside noises when in your room. Contrary to Crazy P's comment, there is a very small case at the front desk with emergency supplies you might need if you forgot a hairbrush, etc... Not extensive and for emergencies only, but it is there at the front desk if need be. There is a complimentary breakfast downstairs each morning which is not great, but it's something if you can't make it to breakfast elsewhere. They serve Starbucks coffee each morning, complimentary as well. Nice to-go cups, too. Rooms are very clean and modern. Nothing old or shabby. I get skeeved a lot at hotels, but not here. Enjoyable. Our hotel of choice when visiting Elk Grove. read more

I recently stayed here for a 4 night business trip. Besides that fact that it was snowing and cold as ____, I had a great time. ALL of the employees were nice and helpful the entire stay. I had a little tour when I first checked in, it made me feel all VIP status. lol. They have a free shuttle, (I think it wil take you anywhere within 5 mile radius) and I used it since I was there a few days without a rental car. The guy took me to the grocery store and patiently waited for me to come back out. It was rad. But the continental breakfast...thats a whole different story. It was off the hook! I was impressed. They had a variety of goodies, from warm breakfast sandwiches to fruit/ cereal/pastries. Usually the "continental breakfast", is stale bagels and maybe some oatmeal. I recommend trying out Buona Beef, located in the same parking lot as well. read more

We were visiting family in the area, and reserved this place because it was about $40 less than the Westin across the street. I was a bit nervous about doing so because I've stayed in that Westin before, and it is very nice. However, from the moment we walked in, we were glad we made this choice. The rooms were actually better - very clean, spacious, cozy bed, fridge, desk and good couch. The swimming pool was clean and heated. The only downside is that they did not have a hot tub. The gym was tiny, but I only used it to run - and they had very modern treadmills with USB ports and televisions. The gym even had a bucket of disposable headphones (wrapped/brand new) in case you forgot yours at home. Their "business center" did have two computers available (their internet was fast). Free wifi offered throughout the hotel as well. In the mornings, a continental breakfast was offered. Eggs, hashbrowns, bagels, english muffins, donuts, oatmeal, fruit, juice and coffee. Most people would be satisfied. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. read more

Great customer service! Fairly clean. We were put up here by American Airlines after their delays caused us to miss our international flight. The hotel is situated in a business district, about 45 minutes (car or train) to Chicago. So even though we had an entire day here, we weren't close enough to see or do anything before having to be back at the airport for a 5:00pm flight. There isn't a store anywhere close, so we had to buy $5 waters from here, but that was alright. Again, the service was outstandingly great. read more

Rooms are average; staff is friendly but unaccommodating; amenities are subpar. Breakfast is included in the cost of the room. I opted to eat elsewhere. It is not good. I ended up going to Walgreens to treat my finger which was smashed between the shower doors in the hotel room (no apology from staff) due to a broken handle on the door. I also am forced to go to the library because the hotel network that the two business center computers are on "is being worked on" and I needed to send an urgent email. When speaking with another guest, he indicated that it was not working previously but management has not done anything about it. One of the main reasons I like Hyatt Place is the convenience...but this location leaves a lot to be desired. Will not return to this location. On the plus side, no bedbugs and free parking. Also, they have a shuttle that will transport you within a 5 mile radius of the hotel (although most of the attractions listed on their website are further than 5 miles). read more

But I was not dressed and they would not bring it to me. "Sorry we don't do that room services thing". There were 4 employers hanging out by check in at any one time and the place was empty. I stayed here with my family for one night, before heading to O'Hare airport the next morning. I found this to be a great hotel for our purposes. After tax, the total came to ~ $150, and included free breakfast. It was only about 15 minutes away from the airport too. The hotel was clean, the room was spacious, and the service was great. I believe in paying for quality, and I don't mind paying an extra $30 or $40 a night for a much more pleasant experience (and keep in mind many hotels near O'hare are around $300 a night). read more

I recently attended a 7 day review and exam that was held at the Hyatt Place in Itasca, however I did not stay at the hotel because I was local. The lobby area is pretty modern and clean; I regularly saw the staff cleaning the floors and tables. There is no pantry or shop for little things so if you needed say Tylenol, you have to either go up to the Speedway at Arlington Heights and Devon or the Jewel/Dominicks/Walgreens at Arlington Heights and Biesterfield (if you have a car). The room itself was small, and the heat/ac was never working right. On the first day we were really hot and then completely freezing, the next day was the same. So I ended up bringing multiple layers and adding them when needed. As part of our package we were supposed to have lunch each day and coffee available all day with snacks but that didn't happen. This training and exam package was quite expensive ($4K) so I would have hoped for a little more. Most days we had no coffee or ice cold coffee after about 10am. When we complained, sometimes we got more coffee and sometimes we didn't. The lunches were just sandwiches and weren't that great. In fact there were two days most the guys wouldn't eat it because it looked/smelled so bad) so we just went across the parking lot to the Buona Beef and Besa Mi Taco (which stinks when you pay $4K and your lunch should be included) The room was behind the elevator bank and was just off the lobby/cafe area so it was really loud. You could always hear people coming in, chatting at the elevator, eating, drinking at the bar and so forth. During the week it was annoying but we got used to it. The day of the exam it was annoying as heck to be honest. It was a 6 hour exam and they put signs up for people to be quiet but they were not. The hotel staff did nothing to help. We did have the option of ear plugs, but when you have to do a 6 hour exam manually (paper based - old school scantron bubbles) in a room with messed up HVAC that 90 degrees, it's obnoxious. In fact I can't believe the testing board even allowed this but I digress. The other thing that was annoying was these bugs all over the room and flying around the room. It was disgusting. The staff said they were due to the ladybug infestation in the area and they were some type of bug that lived off of ladybugs. That's all well and good but I live 3 miles from the hotel and have never seen or heard of those bugs and neither have my friends. These bugs would come out of the vents and crawl on the walls and tables. Some of the guys would catch them in the water glasses during the day sessions and have 4-5 in the cup by 7-8pm at night. Multiple cups too. We went outside one of the days and saw the adjacent wall to the room we were in covered outside with these bugs too. Overall I was not impressed with the banquet/meeting space at all. It was definitely not the worst I have seen and been to, but definitely not the best either. I actually expected more with this program and I'm glad I didn't stay there as well because I can not stand to be somewhere I know there is a bug problem - coming from a seasoned business traveler. read more

Having stayed at the Itasca Holiday Inn last time I was here for work, I was desperately seeking a change (do NOT stay there). Looking at my company's "approved local hotels" list, I saw the Hyatt Place. Never stayed there before, and had no idea what to expect, but wow was I floored. For the price they paid for me to stay there, especially compared to the Holiday Inn, the place was leaps and bounds above my expectations. The room was large (King, non-smoking), the tv was big, and it had a nice "studio feel" to it. The only thing I would have added to my room was a bathtub for when my back was aching, but I can't complain too much about that. Furthermore, the staff were excellent and helpful the entire time. I was asked repeatedly if there was anything they could help me with, which was a nice touch. Next time I'm in Itasca for work, I'll definitely try to stay here again. The place has not aged well since I was last here five years ago. Elevator smells like mildew, the first room they gave us smelled strongly of smoke. The second room was locked from the inside (!) like they'd given us someone else's room. That's a new one. Fortunately, it turns out the lock just sticks -- one of the guys came up and opened it for us. Then they redeemed themselves by giving me a complimentary cocktail. Not the best Hyatt place I have stayed at, and I have stayed at many. This one has a strange layout. Rooms are nice and new, but after that, it goes downhill. Lots of little niggling issues- 1st room faced the airport and the planes were REALLY loud- I have a white noise maker and the roaring planes overpowered it. Staff tried to convince me they were not in the flyway. Pass. Second room towards the back was almost silent. Other issues: in one room the hairdryer and portable phone did not work. The other the TV did not work. You have to ask for lotion- they don't put in the rooms anymore even in Chicago's cold weather. Breakfast was the worst by far of any Hyatt Place I have stayed at - and that is usually a big reason to stay at the Hyatt Place. Not the usual yummy breakfast sandwiches, but dry reconstituted eggs and some type of spiced potatoes. They do have cereal and limited fruit choices. Juices and milk are good. Coffee is in a separate area from food area, which is actually better. They also don't have the usual glass foodcase with a choice of salds and sandwiches to choose from when the breakfast area is closed. The gym is small but well kept with towels but no water. Expect to wait for one of the two treadmills. Shuttle bus is convenient to my company, but book the night before or be prepared to go extra early to your office. Driver is great. Staff is mostly Millennials with the requisite Millenial inattentiveness. I am going to stay somewhere else when in the area. read more

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Chicago. I was very impressed with this hotel, as the rooms were spacious and most importantly clean. There is an extra sink by the bar/fridge area with a big mirror so it can really speed things up on the morning when you have four people in a room. Additionally, is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. One thing I found especially great about the room is that there are outlets everywhere..which is very helpful as we had brought tons of electronic devices. We did not receive our hotel invoice the next morning slipped under our door (which is usually the norm at hotels). The phone in one of our rooms was not working and there was a staff up in the room fixing it within minutes. The breakfast offers quite a selection and the cooked foods were completely different on both mornings (there were breakfast sandwiches served the first day, scrambled eggs & sausages the next). One complaint is that there is not much seating offered for breakfast, as it is directly in the lobby of the hotel.. on Saturday morning it got quite hectic trying to find a table but the staff did open up a meeting room for guests to use. read more

The law of diminishing marginal utility does not apply to Hyatt Place, because I could stay here repeatedly for weeks and months and never feel like I've lost any satisfaction. Yes it is that good. Why? Because I've stayed at plenty of hotels and few compare to the wonderful, vacation-like experience offered by Hyatt Place. Even though I use it primarily for business travel you are set apart from the rest of the crowd into a relaxing atmosphere. To backup my claims I am reminded of the smell of the hand soap, the updated interior design and modern layout of the lobby, the fabric of the couch, the pleasing color schemes, the plush bedding, the large flat-panel TV on a swivel, and overall sensation of accomplishment you can achieve just by staying here a single night. Wake up the next morning and you are treated to a breakfast bar that includes heavy silverware, solid plates with interesting triangle or other shapes, and a healthy mixture of grains, fruit, yogurt, juice, muffins, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, and on it goes until you are once again starting your day fully satisfied. However they came up with the combinations and execution of ideas, they got it right! I am thankful for Hyatt Place. Since it is unlikely IMHO that other hotels will ever learn from them, that's fine, because if I can seek out a Hyatt Place I will definitely stay there if I can. read more

There is really is not much to say about this place. It is a simple hotel, with some great, reasonable rates, a good, friendly staff, clean, well-maintained rooms, and some great amenities like pool, free wi-fi, free parking, free continental breakfast. I realize this this is not so much a destination, but if you are in the area (or need to be), then you really cannot go wrong here! read more

Pretty sweet digs here at the Hyatt Place. I stayed here after my sister's wedding at the near by Itasca Country Club. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are sweet. 46" HD plasmas in every room, awesome blow dryers, very clean, very new and very comfortable. We were an obnoxious wedding party and they didn't seem to mind one bit. They let me check in 2 hrs before regular check in and I was about 20 minutes late checking out and paid NO additional fees. This place deserves 5 stars, but they don't have a real bar in the hotel. They have a serving station that has beer, wine and some cocktails, but I think it closes at 10pm. Because I was so impressed with everything else, I'm going to let that slide. read more

This place is awesome! We were here for 3 nights, and I think we paid only about 238 dollars. The hotel offers free breakfast, free wifi, and exemplary customer service. Room service is also very commendable. We left huge messes every time, and our room was spotless when we came back at night. Seriously, they have great room service. They also have a 24 hour food room service if you have the midnight cravings. I'd stay here again. read more

I will say this is a nice place but the service and management is what ruined it for me. Upon arrival, the person at the desk confirmed I had booked a king size room. He then informs me that there are no kings left, only doubles. I wasn't happy about this because what girl wants to stay in a double with her boyfriend. I let it go because we booked through expedia. After my stay, I called expedia looking for a partial refund. They called the hotel and the hotel said we had stayed in a king. Wrong. They said they would be refunding me $87.69 anyway. Two days later I check my bank account and there is a $40 charge on my account. I call the hotel and the lady says someone had accidentally charged my account and that she would refund it. Great. That finally goes through but I never actually received a refund for giving me the wrong room. I was only refunded what was wrongfully taken out of my account. I call expedia again and they say they have no record of me being promised a refund. They call Hyatt and the hotel refuses to refund me. Now, I wasn't looking for a full refund, but I expected the room I paid for and that is not what I got. read more

My wife and I had stayed in many hotels and this is far most the best amazing hotel. The hotel staff are accommodating, professional & friendly. Rooms are clean, spacious and there is plenty of parking 24 hrs. They serve an excellent complimentary breakfast every morning and wifi works everywhere. We will definitely be back. read more

We love a good Hyatt Place for a weekend getaway. It's awesome for so many reasons: awesomely easy DVD player hook up to an awesome tv, comfortable mattresses and pillows and always friendly staff. It's a place that you don't mind giving your money to for sure. Plus, they do a price match guarantee with travel websites, so if you book with them, you earn points toward free stays in the future with no blackout dates as a part of their Gold star program. They do offer a breakfast that is more than just your continental fruit and cold cereals, but that brought the only downside; the staff members just couldn't keep up with the customers there to eat. Both days we ate breakfast, we had to ask for either plates or flatware. But, as always, the staff provided with a smile. Also, just as a side note, their toiletries are not the best. The soap is good for handwashing, but the shampoo smells a little medicinal. But, I could just stop being lazy and bring my own, too. We'll always look for a Hyatt Place first; great affordability for an outstanding room experience. read more

Great place to stay when traveling. Not too far from Chicago. Rooms are a nice size and clean. There is free breakfast but it goes fast with the amount of guests that stay here. Staff was very helpful especially the woman named GRACE. Excellent hardly describes her service and attitude. Very helpful! They also have a bar off of the front desk...if you go, you have to have Grace make you a Manhattan because it's amazing! read more
