In the outskirts of the downtown San Jose sits the most stunning new Marriott Town Suite hotel with the best value for money with five stars accommodating staff and services as well as the most secure parking structure and 24 hour fee coffee and hot tea served by the front lobby. Including the free breakfast and water bottles on request for Bon Voy members this clean and new place deserves five stars on every aspect! The surrounding depressing Autobody and repair shops are somewhat of letdown for the unassuming best place to stay. The dual doors in the front requires the door key to activate the security inside door and the inexpensive parking garage secure metal doors. The place has two decent elevators and adequate gymnastic offerings. There is no pool, but the most comfortable large bed and spacious apartment with everything you need including dishwasher, large refrigerator and sink and cooktop. The most important aspect of all is the absolute silence from the window and next door. We love the ambiance and clean new Marriott. read more

Nice staycation to use up the last of my Bonvoy free night credits before they expired. This property has only been open for a few months so everything is new and so so clean -- furnishings, the carpet, towels, appliances, bathroom fixtures, the floors, shower. No scuff marks to be found anywhere. Everything that you just sort of tolerate at most hotels is just so much better at a new hotel. I've never stayed at a TownePlace Suites before so I've got nothing to compare to. My room did seem a bit on the small side though the layout was thoughtful and the built in couch was a nice touch. The room has plenty of light and a good sized desk if you need to work. My room's window was unfortunately immediately next to the glass walled hallway, which created some window privacy problems (even using the filtered shades) until I just gave up and dropped the second set of roller blinds, which then blocked out all the natural light. :( Based on the building diagram, I'd guess that slightly less than half of the rooms face into the enclosed interior courtyard, which was very quiet but which might create other privacy weirdness from neighbors across the way. You may want to request an outside or inside-facing room at check-in based on your preferences. Secured parking runs $30 a night but seemed plentiful. It seemed a very fair price for a city hotel and well worth the peace of mind and convenience. I did see a few guests parking on the street. No thanks. The only real down side of my stay was the wall unit-style ac, which was a bit fussy and switched off until the room was a bit warm and would then turn on and blast arctic air and freeze the space. Bed linens were thankfully multi-layered so I was eventually able to figure out how to get to the right temp for sleep. Overall, I liked the hotel. I'm not sure how much it actually costs to stay here but TownePlace is a very good alternative to the big downtown hotels a half mile to the east as long as you've got a car. read more

Woke up to bed bug bites on the 5th floor on 7/4/2026, management was quick to offer to move us to a different room no questions asked. Parking is expensive nightly but street parking available for 2 hours during the day if you're willing to leave your car out overnight. Room itself is pretty good with AC, amenities, huge bathroom. Brand spanking new hotel by Marriott. Some minor hiccups keep this from being a 5 star review. But that's to be expected because they are new new. There was no carts available when checking in. The elevator smelled like wet dog. And there was food left in the microwave. Ok for the good. Perfecttt location. Beautiful lobby. Super modern and clean. Free breakfast buffet was not the best . . There was cheese omelette ,cheddar biscuits , turkey sausage , waffles etc. Wish they had potatoes . How are you not gonna have potatoes lol !! Cheese omelette was nasty . Then they replaced with scrambled eggs. Still tasted bad . They didn't have fresh fruit just apples. Really good coffee and juice .. Rooms are great size. Actually pretty big lots of room . Ac works great.There's a kitchen with a microwave , full fridge , stove top, and a dishwasher!! Beds are so comfortable. Nice big closet, love the closet. Hate the tub in the bathroom. Check in process was smooth after booking on the app. I liked that the elevator requires an active keycard to access. The lobby was clean and modern with all-day coffee and hot water available. The location is not the greatest but I wouldn't fault the staff for that. Parking is $30/night per vehicle but it's gated and has security so I thought it was worth it for the security aspect. A homeless person snuck in the parking garage after I drove in and security was quick to get her out. The doors to the hotel require a key card to unlock so she wouldn't have gotten far. I had to scan my keycard 4x before entering my room from getting into the parking garage, opening the lobby door, to activate the elevator and lastly, my room door. Some may think it's tedious but I felt safe. The room itself is smaller than other Marriott's I'm used to booking. The pictures that are already posted do it justice. The only thing I didn't like about our room was that the shower was already stained and dirty and the water took 10 mins to get hot. Overall, I wouldn't fault stay here again. read more

Great Hotel near downtown. We stayed on the top floor with an excellent view. It was very quiet with a really good breakfast. The Front Desk Rep was awesome I think her name was Aiyana....great customer service she made our stay so much nicer. It's pretty rare to have really good service. This is a brand new hotel that opened in April. Because it's new and everything is pretty clean, I did give two stars instead of one. However, improvements are necessary: -When calling to see if my room is available, the lady who answered didn't really speak English well or lacks hotel terminology. She kept saying I booked two rooms. That's not the case at all. I booked one room that includes two bedrooms, but technically it's not two separate room charges. Finally I said I booked a suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms inside, and then she understood. -At check in, I specifically said that my card should be the one on file. Yes my friends checked in first and provided a card for incidentals, but my card ultimately should be charged for everything. The front desk lady agreed, and I thought that was that. Nope, at checkout I received a bill with said friend's credit card on file. It took many messages with the hotel to rectify. There were so many that the hotel gave me 7000 points for the inconvenience. -We booked a two bedroom, two bathroom suite. Each bedroom has a king bed. Upon entering the room, one of the bedrooms was locked so we had to wait for maintenance to arrive and unlock it. Initially he said that he didn't have the key but then found it. He then asked if we'd been in the room - no because it's locked SMH. I don't know why housekeeping would do that. I will say at least maintenance arrived somewhat quickly, about ten minutes. -We had 5 people in the room (including one on the pullout couch). I requested housekeeping services even though we're only staying two nights, received confirmation we'd have service, and that didn't occur. We had filled all the trash cans by the first day. -Breakfast buffet was okay. It's your typical Towneplace Suites breakfast but I've had better meals at similar kinds of properties (e.g. Hilton's Homewood Suites in Victoria, TX). There is also a waffle maker, 3 different cereals from a dispenser, bagels/English muffins (no bread when I arrived), and coffee/tea/hot chocolate packets/cold chocolate milk available. If you see about 30 bananas, grab quickly. They were gone within 5-10 minutes. -I did suggest to the hotel to add mirrors in the parking garage. The ramps are VERY narrow, not enough room for two sedans to turn the corner, much less a Chevy Silverado (which is what I had). BE CAREFUL! -This is a Marriott in general Issue, but I wish there was some way to know the breakfast hours, checkout time, etc. besides having to find buried in the app (doesn't have a quick info button that auto pulls up info), which then takes you to another website. Hilton for some hotels at least puts a QR code sticker on the nightstand so you can just quickly jump to the direct website with this information. Overall this is your typical Towneplace Suites. It was convenient for our group since we'd 5 adults. There was a pretty big kitchen with a stove, pots/pans/dishes/cooking utensils, full size fridge and freezer like you'd have at home, a small couch (only two adults could comfortably fit), and a small dining table with 4 chairs. Each bedroom and living room had its own TV. One bathroom was in the hallway (had a tub), and the other bathroom with a walk in shower was attached to the bedroom. Lighting was sufficient in the rooms. The billing issues and lack of housekeeping is what made me rate two stars. Otherwise I would've given 3 since it's a Towneplace Suites. To give an idea of my Marriott experience, I've been platinum or higher for 14 years. This is a very new hotel 2026 and amenities are great like a little mini kitchen with cooktop microwave dishwasher and refrigerator. The space feels bigger than it actually is the bathroom area was larger than expected and everything was clean and tidy sheets towels everything we're clean no stains no weird smells everything was great. Parking is nice. It's a secured indoor parking garage at the time I stayed. It was $30 per night. This location is close to downtown though it isn't officially downtown. The rooftop lounge and barbecue area are a great added feature since there is no pool or spa area. I actually prefer the rooftop lounge area with a giant big screen, gas fireplace for ambience and barbecue area. read more

This hotel was great! I think they've been responsive to reviews because prior to staying there, I saw people wrote on here that they need potatoes with the free breakfast and to have mirrors in the garage and both were there when I stayed there, ha! I would def stay here again. It's in downtown SJ but a short uber from all the action, which I was fine with. We came for a comedy show and I got a great deal with my Marriott Bonvoy discount. The rooms are cozy and come with a little kitchen, the WiFi is super fast, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was really good and they had good quality brands and a variety of options (I am gluten free and still found options). The check-in process was smooth and they only hold $20 for incidentals which was nice. The front desk was really helpful too! read more

It shouldn't be called a suite, it just a very plain room with a small kitchen space. If it wasn't for the friendly girl in the front when we checked in, I'd be very disappointed. The night staff wasn't as nice. I thought Bon Voyage's we supposed to be very nice. I guess it means something different in downtown San Jose. read more
